We, a family of 5 (3 kids: 6/8/12 yrs) were staying in Niseko for 3 weeks. We didn’t want to rent a villa as it meant that we had to clean the place ourselves so opted to stay at a hotel . The summer rates were great as Aya Hotel in the winter is extremely pricey! We stayed at the 2 bedroom apartment which was super comfortable! They also have a public onsen bath downstairs which we used everyday ! It’s not big but during low season it’s empty so we loved it . Mind you - their restaurant and shops are all closed . But that didn’t bother us . We had a car, and there were a few restaurants walking distance too. Great value for money in the summer 👍🏽👍🏽

For what we paid, can’t complain

The hotel is posh and has both public and private baths, FOC laundry on each floor, FOC parking, and a king-size bed in our double room. We feel very comfortable. TV has BBC in English. Most other hotels only offer Japanese channels. There was a Seicomart less than 2 mins walk away where we could get our BF items. The staff were very helpful and the service was great ! Also, I caught the rainbow just outside of the hotel after a rainy drive to the hotel from Hakodate.

It was the lull season (tail-end of the autumn season), and not many restaurants were opened, including Aya Niseko's own kitchen. The toilet and bathroom were tight. Your face would be fairly near the wall when you sit on the toilet :).

The hotel looked new with an impressive lobby with designer touches in the common areas. The staff were generally helpful and attentive. One staff in particular knew we were looking for autumn foliage, spotted us on his way home and stopped his car to share with us a couple of spots that we could see the autumn colours. We didn’t catch his name but he appears to be from China. Really nice guy.

The room we got (Atelier) did not have air conditioning and also did not have windows we could open. It got quite stuffy in the room but the staff brought us 2 fans which really helped. It would also be helpful if there were some ledges near the sink to put our toiletries. The design seemed to prioritise aesthetics over functionality.

Elegant and understated interior, with spacious well-equipped studio, which has everything you need for a comfortable stay. There's a kitchenette filled with pot and pan, cutlery, cooking stuff, goblets for wine & champagne, knives, tea and coffee cups, 3 garbage disposal bins, ... coffee maker and Nespresso capsules, tea bags , ... 2 pieces of welcome cake was thoughtful and classy tin bottles of mineral water. Love the toiletries and public onsen.

Tel system NOT WORKING !!!

Very spacious, clean, very attentive staff. Mini kitchen very handy.

There is not pedestrian walkway where the hotel is located, you have to walk on broken path for about 100m before there’s a crossing, not a huge deal but at night with cars it can be quite dangerous. Also the shower already shown a lot of wear and it seems like no maintenance was done and it won’t take long before it gets awful. We went in low season so the price is really good no complain there but in high season prices not sure if it’s worth it.

Really well-done accommodation. Everything needed is provided for in the room, including small kitchen. Great onsen too.

Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed in the off season. Niseko is a convenient place to explore everything west of Sapporo. But still mainly a winter destination. As a result it’s quiet, a lot of the shops and restaurants are closed in summer.

We paid extra for the mountain. View was nice and the onsen was good although even the outdoor onsen has no view.

The apartment does not have windows. In autumn, which is when we were there, it can be a little stuffy because there is no air conditioner and the ceiling to floor glass panels cannot be opened. The small room with twin bed doesn’t not come with wi does at all, and also no view, feels like a helper’s room

Motorcycle friendly accommodation in Niseko with off street parking. Very friendly helpful staff. Large, clean, quiet room. It has an Onsen and Spa. I would stay here again.

I very much enjoyed my short stay but the restaurant was not open for diner and there was no bar. Staff were helpful and made restaurant and bar recommendations so not a big issue. Less options in summer than winter high season. Breakfast was Japanese option on,y - no western option.

kitchen had no basic condiments like salt and pepper.no fault of aya but I believe it was low season as a lot of restaurants we wanted to go to were closed.

It was one of the top notch hotel in every aspect.

Everything was superb, but there's neither a restaurant nor any brief cookware such as microwave oven.. I asked heating an instant food to one of the staff at the front desk, but just had the resolute "NO" with frowning, making me have the feeling I did something wrong.
