A sense of quiet contemplation in the outdoor areas, a pool to cool off in and daybed lounges to read in the shade. Apartments were individual and unexpected in layout. It was great to find such historic buildings to stay in. Nearby taverna was a very good one with fine home-cooked dishes

Stairs are a nuisance but you don’t book old buildings without taking this into account. The spa bath is probably a bad idea that seemed great at the time. Can’t beat a roomy shower stall where the water can be contained. Light switches are a bit high tech and hard to work out. Minor gripes. Nothing to detract from the spell this place casts when you stay awhile

I am slightly conflicted in writing this review. This beautiful village gains its attraction in part because it is not very well known and because it retains the spirit of a mountain village in central Crete from an earlier age. And long may that last. However, in honesty I must also say that this accommodation in the centre of the village is a remarkable place - our suite was so beautiful and well equipped, and the garden so well cared for. The pool is really lovely. We had a jacuzzi in our bedroom but there is also a lovely comfortable lounge and kitchen. This genuinely a really beautiful place.

Great value for money hotel. Easy to locate the hotel as we had follow the provided directions. Park in the main square 150 meters away. Very clean, fresh, huge size suite, with everything that we might need (laptop, Jacuzzi bathtub, hangers, linens, bathrobes, Netflix tv, WiFi with high speed, coffee machine, kettle, fully equipped kitchen). Bed was so comfortable that we had slept so nice and calm. Personnel is very friendly and polite, they had take great care of us, with a warm welcome and providing us with many details for the area. They even had treat us a with a small bottle of wine and fruits !!! Pool and walled garden is just a gem !!! So calm and relaxing in this 'hidden" green oasis. Location is amazing as you are very close to every location / attraction in Crete: - 25 minutes drive to Rethymno - 60 minutes drive to Chania - 50 minutes drive to Plakias and south beach We would return back for sure.

We had stay only for one night ... We had to stay here for more than 3 nights to explore the whole area and the surroundings !

We loved the village and the hotel with his beautiful venician houses, the pool was great, the small kitchen was comfortable, the house was very clean. The garden around the pool is very well taken care of and very beautiful.

The beds were a little bit hard

Where to begin… stunning accomodation and grounds. We stayed in the ground floor suite with the ‘cellar’ ceiling in the bedroom which was beautiful, romantic and cosy. The pool is equally exquisite. The setting and the town spectacular in its beauty.

The suites are quite difficult to find- a tip is to park in front of the church in Lappa (Upper Agriopolis) walk into the village through the arch and the Suites are located about 100 m down the road at the end of a small turning on the left.Its a beautiful and quiet location with a great small pool. The suites are a good size (if a little quirky in layout). The TV has Netflix and variety of other channels.

The kitchen could have been equipped better with more plates, glasses and standard cooking items (saucepans?). There is an oven and a hob so it would be possible to self cater very well. The light switches were a bit strange and took a bit of getting used to- they are (sort of) touch sensitive panels.

The welcoming, the stuff , the lemonade and pasta flora were amazing. The mattress was super soft and comfortable. The ambience was really cool and relaxing. Really interesting decoration outdoors and indoors. Overall a really good experience!

Beautifully manicured grounds. Lovely buildings, very private. We loved our 3 night stay here; there was the perfect mix of privacy plus a few other people to chat to. Lovely comfy bed & the kitchenette had just what we needed.The pool area was very secluded. Everything spotlessly clean both in the room and the grounds. We found plenty to do using this as a base & had some lovely meals including fresh trout from the restaurant at the nearby water springs.

Reluctant to say anything negative as we has such a nice time here but there was a slight smell of damp when we first entered the property which was soon dispersed by opening the windows. It was quite hard to find the accommodation, more explicit directions would have been helpful.

Nice old traditional stone building, well equipped. The bedrooms were large, and on the first floor. Nice garden. Very quiet.

Direct access by car is possible but without parking. Parking is possible in the village central place, some 200 metres away.

Spectacular, unique and spacious. Very warm welcome , lovely swimming pool and garden. Good dinner recommendation we would thoroughly recommend it,
