So glad I chose this hotel rather than the any of the higher end hotels near the Amristar airport. The Surestay Hotel is located only 300 yards from the Golden Temple and less than 100 yards from the Jallianwalah Bagh, both venues of which I was extremely interested in visiting daily. It's also smack in the middle of an bustling marketplace for those that want to get their shopping in. The Surestay has many of the amenities of higher end hotels at a far cheaper price, including laundry service and a nice breakfast up on the top floor (a special mention to Deepak and Sandeep who provided excellent breakfast service). The taxi service they use is much simpler and just as cheap as soliciting taxis from the various travel agencies around the area. The room is nice, with a comfortable bed and ample hot water showers, which was greatly appreciated after experiencing some of the more austere facilities at various ashrams I had stayed at. There is really no downside to staying here. It seems they are often fully booked, so best to get your reservations in as early as possible.

The location is perfect—just a short walk from Jallianwala Bagh and the Golden Temple, making it easy to explore the area. Whether I was wandering through the city or relaxing at a local café, everything was within reach. The rooms are impressive! Spacious, beautifully decorated, and fully equipped with all the amenities you could ask for. The bed was so comfortable that I enjoyed a wonderfully restful night’s sleep. Overall, my experience at Surestay was absolutely delightful. I can’t wait to return and would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a memorable getaway!

SureStay by Best Western in Amritsar is an excellent choice for anyone visiting the Golden Temple. The location is unbeatable—right in the pedestrian area, just a short walk to the temple. The room sizes are surprisingly spacious, larger than the average, which adds to the comfort of the stay. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, always ready to assist. A special mention goes to the wheelchair they provided for my elderly father—it made navigating our trips so much easier. Being above a McDonald’s might appeal to some, but there’s also a great selection of quality local restaurants in the area to explore for authentic flavors. Overall, a comfortable and convenient stay with thoughtful amenities. Highly recommended for families or anyone visiting Amritsar!

A good standard clean property just opposite the Jallianwala Bagh entrance and so so so close to the Golden Temple is a very big plus point. Given the fact that this is an old city full of small lanes, this hotel is right on the neat and broad Heritage Walk. The breakfast is not so elaborate but definitely good and tasty. The staff were all very courteous at all times. There’s just one (non) issue however. Do not expect any parking facility since Heritage Walk is strictly pedestrian only and doesn’t allow vehicles. The hotel will direct you to the nearest point and help you with porting your luggage.

The hotel is located in a central area along the Heritage Walk, which is a pedestrian zone in the city and within walking distance of the Golden Temple. The area is vibrant, with numerous shops and street food vendors. Our rate included breakfast, which primarily featured Indian cuisine. We enjoyed it every day of our stay and absolutely loved it. The staff was extremely caring and accommodating. We had many questions, some of them quite trivial, but they were always patient and helpful in addressing them all. :) They also arranged a hassle-free and reasonably priced taxi pick-up from the airport, which was especially convenient since we arrived late at night.

I am not sure if it was the floor material, but it didn’t feel like it had been cleaned properly. I would suggest improving this aspect. This isn’t something the staff can control, but it’s important to note that the area surrounding the temple (1.5 km radius) prohibits the sale of alcohol and meat. I wish we had known this before arriving.

It’s very close to Golden Temple. The staff was very good - would like to mention about the staff Saajan who was really very helpful and humble. He took good care with helping my mom on wheel chair and with pick and drop from taxi stop to Hotel. The housekeeping staff - Gurmeet, Nikhil, Roop Lal were also good.

The food options can be better and the restaurant /cafe can have lunch and dinner options as well. Only breakfast is available at cafe and we need to order room service for lunch and dinner.

It’s a very modern, clean and well located hotel with extremely efficient and attentive staff. Reshma, Vivek, Gurmeet Singh and Sajan at the reception were very helpful and so were Sandeep Singh and Deepak at the restaurant. The food was quite delicious and homely. The location is perfect to feel the heartbeat of the holy city. We absolutely loved our stay here.

There were minor issues like pillow cover being itchy and slight leakage in the bathroom but these were promptly attended to. So no complaints at all!

It was an exceptionally comfortable clean and cool room With a continuous light sound of prayer from the local gurdwaras. I needed to sleep during the day and the blackout curtains and general peaceful room made this possible and so I was refreshed to continue with my day. There is nothing negative about this place. The staff are exceptionally professional. In particular the porter, a young man called Sajandeep Singh. A very humble, extremely hard working young man. Thank you Sajandeep for all your help. Nothing was too much for you and you were highly professional and helpful at any time required. Jaliyaan vala baag is a stone throw away and Harmunder Sahib a 3 minute slow walk. The pavements are lined in tiles so you can comfortably walk bare footed to pay your respects…

There is nothing I didn’t like. It was beyond satisfactory.

It was my 5th time visiting Amritsar with family and I have tried five different hotels all the time. Finally I know which hotel I need to book always again. The rooms were exceptionally clean without any smell and bad odor which is common in all the hotels in that area. The bed sheets were changed every day and the hotel was 2minutes walk from Golden temple. I would recommend this hotel on booking.com any time.

Everything Specially spacious rooms and no bad smell

Perfect place to stay which is only a 1 minute walk to Golden Temple and surrounded by a shopping haven and vast restaurants including a fast food (McD) next door and a good money exchange place a few lots away. At the Front Office, Ms Reshma was very clear in her explanation and provided useful inputs that made our stay very comforting. The Hotel's in-house restaurant also served good simple food. Other staff were also very helpful and always on-hand to help with carrying luggage and attending to ad-hoc needs.
