The room was very clean and spacious. Beds were very comfortable. Parking right in front of room. The room had a small kitchen and few basic things.

The check-in process. We reached at 16:30 (30 mins before time) and the staff dint speak proper German nor English. He just kept saying IMEL IMEL.. Later I realised he wanted me to check my email or message from booking.com. And 5 mins before 17 I received a message on booking.com with details of checking in and number for the lock. I would prefer a better check in process. Guests might arrive couple of hours before they can't ask them to wait in car and close the door.

We stayed here during our visits to the Christmas markets in Colmar and Strasbourg. Although we arrived relatively late, the staff still accommodated us for dinner, which was delicious! We highly recommend dinner at the hotel. Our room was comfortable and spacious enough for our family.

The shower was either clogged or poorly designed, causing water to run across the entire bathroom floor. We had to turn off the water while soaping up and tried to finish quickly. Regarding breakfast, we found it to be lacking. The portions were very small, and the only thing our children wanted to eat were the croissants. Additionally, we weren't offered coffee or any other drinks, even though other tables received them. We're not sure if this was because we didn't arrange breakfast in advance.

Good price, very quiet area, comfortable and clean. The room was big and it was possible to make it dark because of the shutters on the windows (which are not always available in countries like Germany) - as a light sleeper, I appreciated it! We informed them that we were going to be slightly late for check-in but they were accommodating with our needs. Communication was alright.

We had a bit of troubles with the door codes / password. We got there slightly later than check in time (they were ok with it, luckily), but we couldn't get the door open using the codes. Eventually we got on a call with someone, but we couldn't get the door open anyway. Eventually they sent someone to open it from the inside. Technology can be helpful but sometimes it isn't! All in all, we just lost 10-15 minutes before getting this solved.

All staff was very attentive,kind and friendly. The dinner was EXQUISITE and tasted AMAZING in everything we had! Compliments to the chef! We stayed in a suite, and it was CLEAN, SPACIOUS AND COMFORTABLE. WONDERFUL place for a family trip to Europa park its only 8mins away. Suite has a small yard/ patio area and the location has a small playground. Breakfast was good,fresh and DELICIOUS. I mentioned my husbands birthday was the next day, and they set up a table with champagne and a birthday 🎂 🥳 cake for the family. BEST place for a family vacation!

The apartment was spacious and clean. Really perfect for a family with a car. Internet was good.

The facilities were a bit old. The shower didn't work well. For people traveling with public transportation it was very limiting to go back and forth to EuropaPark. I mean there was only the one bus that gets you there quickly, but if you miss it you'll need a taxi. But if you came with a car, it's very convenient.

Our stay at Black Forest was overall positive. The location is beautiful and peaceful, perfect for relaxing and enjoying nature. The space was clean and well-maintained, and the staff were friendly and attentive.

One area for improvement would be the drainage in the shower, which had some issues during our stay. Despite that, we had a good experience and would consider returning in the future!

Very nice hotel in a great location for a visit to the Black Forest or Europa-Park (10 minute drive by car). Our room was in the main building and it was spacious (enough, for 4 people) and in excellent condition. All staff was very friendly and accommodating (e.g. quickly getting us an extra air fan and towels). The restaurant deserves a special mention as the quality of the food was outstanding! We enjoyed a very nice dinner in the biergarten during a tropically warm summer evening.

During peak season it can be a challenge to find a parking spot - if you arrive in the evening you'll be without one (if needed, there is small parking lot nearby and you can park in the street in front of the hotel). Rooms did not have airconditioning so they will get hot during warm summer days (air fans are provided and help a little bit). Not a negative but something to be aware of: during our stay our room was not serviced (we stayed 4 nights), which we didn't know upfront. However it was very easy and quick to get extra towels and amenities from the friendly hotel staff.

Good-sized, modern apartment with airconditioning. Mini fridge with a small freezer compartment, kitchen essentials all available for basic cooking. Ideal when traveling with a car, about 10 min drive to Europa Park, a few mins away from an Edeka supermarket. Enough parking space (free). Friendly staff. They have their own restaurant but there is also a good Italian restaurant nearby.

Restaurant quality was not consistent, food was great one night when it was not so busy (hamburger and snitzel) but when it was full capacity, the meat was dry and burnt, steak was not the best quality either, maybe shortage of staff? Our apartment was also not cleaned, not until we asked for it after our third night of stay ( we stayed 4 nights). We had to ask for coffee and sugar in the mornings as there was no housekeeping so they were not replenished. Breakfast was offered at 10 euros pp for us but we only had it once, it was just okay. The following mornings we just bought fresh bread at a nearby bakery. There were a few mosquitoes in the room so check first upon arrival, my son had a number of bites, I think they came in from the bathroom window.

The location was calm and peaceful and ideally situated. It was the perfect venue for visiting Europa Park at a reasonable family rate. It included a nice Bier Garten as well.

The menu was a bit pricey, but the food was of good quality. There did not appear to be a children's play area. The staff did not have much information when requesting local services, though they were quite friendly and generally helpful,

The location is excellent if you visit Europa Park or you are in transit or just want to enjoy a quiet place for a few days. In the apartment we stayed, the rooms were biiiig, the mattresses were excellent and everything was very clean. The place is prepared with the kitchen and all the things even for long stays. In our apartment, we had A/C in every room, literally (including in the bathroom). The breakfast was decent. On the other hand, the dinner was just great. They have a large terace dressed up like a small garden. Unfortunately, we had dinner here only in our last evening. Great dishes and service. Actually, the whole staff there was always ready to guide and help us during our stay. At the moment we were there, they offered free parking for everyone. Good value for the money. Highly recommended!

In the children's room, the bed squeaked very bad.
