The location and area of the resort are truly magnificent. The food — 100% vegetarian and for those who follow a plant-based lifestyle, this is a true gastronomic paradise. Doctors and other stuff warmth and dedication made stay not only comfortable but truly restorative. Yoga classes are for all levels.

It was a bit disappointing that although the initial booking was made through Booking.com, my bank delayed the payment at the time of processing because there were several large transactions on that day. As a result, I had to make the payment a few days later, but this time directly with the hotel — and the amount charged by the hotel was higher than the original price shown on Booking.com.

on arrival i was placed in a different resort of sun category (soma palmshore) which I did not understand at all .I was taken on long taxi ride the next day to my booked resort to meet with doctors… still did not understand. after some hours I asked to see the managers as I was physically n emotionally exhausted by then… he told me the resort was full and my reservation had been double booked. do at first I had to stay in the other resort a lot less confortable. I was offered last 4 nights at Manaltheeram but would have to change rooms. my one week stay was to rest deeply and all this changes did not feel restful . do I opted for last 2 nights in a lovely cottage at Manaltheeram. but disappointed I did not get to experience my whole week there as booked

Resort of high standards and quality. Staff was outstanding. Very clean and fresh, spacious room, fresh linings, territory is well maintained and gorgeous nature. Food was amazing, healthy, delicious, good variety. Massages were great. Service was perfect.

Wish there were more water bottles left in the room. Can always call, but still would be nice if 2 bottles per person left in advance.

The location was superb, on a small hill just in front of Adimalathura Beach and next to a Hindu temple with a giant statue of Shiva. Soma Manaltheeram is an ayurveda hospital in a resort environment and we decided to have a week of slimming ayurveda treatments. Hence, we had every day around 2.5 hours of treatments, one hour yoga, and a special slimming diet. The treatments were intense, but effective, as I lost 4 kg. I found the setting incredibly beautiful, especially the open-air space for yoga in front of the beach and the open-restaurant, and I particularly appreciated the kindness of the whole staff.

guests should be respectful about what they get (eg taking food and don t eat Would be nice they would soso look for Women teaching Yoga and Meditation There should be Shared taxis to care for climate instead of individual cars for each guest

This is a wonderful ayurvedic resort to refresh and reboot. The rooms all have aircon and the place is tranquil. The setting by the sea is particularly beautiful. The staff is incredibly kind and considerate. This place is well suited for solo travellers as it is easy to meet other people.

It would be good to sort out the Wifi and ensure it works all over the resort.

Great value for money, perfect place to relax. Everyone was very helpful, especially the new restaurant manager. Beautiful views and private seating.

Unless you want to pay above average rates for the buffet the waiting time for food was long. Being at the beach isn’t very relaxing with men trying to sell stuff, I felt I needed to keep myself modest.

Honestly a genuine place to get a taste of Kerala. The staff were amazing and the noise of the ocean shores while you were sleeping was very soothing. The best part was that I had lost my credit card there and the staff posted it very securely and promptly to my Mumbai address. I would recommend their evening Meditation and yoga session.

Nothing apart from the fact that the bathroom in our room wasn't clean upon our arrival with hair on the wall and toilet paper not being changed but Praveen from house keeping promptly tidied up the place. I would have given this place a 10/10 otherwise. However, I will definitely be back and would recommend all my friends to stay here. A side note - Beware of a taxi guy at the front named Shyne (with a Y). He is not associated with the hotel but loves overcharging the guests. Take a tuk-tuk anywhere and it will be much cheaper.

A slice of paradise — stunning grounds, superb treatment and very friendly, helpful staff. I love the food and Ayurvedic treatments and feel so much better leaving than I did arriving.
