The staff were very lovely and helpful here and you could pay for lunch and dinner food in the b&b restaurant with card. It was very nice to sit on the roof terrace for yummy breakfasts and other meals, or just to sit and read. The area was a bit noisy at night, but okay with earplugs. The area was very sketchy but we safely walked into the cbd briskly twice without incident. We were told not to walk out past 8pm, but I think this would apply to most of the city. I would recommend this as a cheap, safe and self contained option for people not wanting to dice too much with the urban jungle of Nairobi.

I chose Khweza from a website review because I needed somewhere to stay that suited my budget. However the staff were exceptionally friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them.. even my suitcase which was delayed at CAIRO was collected from the airport with care when it arrived in Nairobi. I had a friend to visit me and we had meals at odd times during the day, and they were delicious at any time of day, and served with kindness, grace, and courtesy. Well done everyone, I recommend Khweza B & B very highly .. Thank you all for a wonderful welcome stay in Nairobi .

At first, the location did not seem very appealing but after a couple days we started to feel more comfortable in the area and may have even enjoyed ourselves a bit when walking around and learning to know the 'other' side of Nairobi. The terrace is certainly a great asset of this place to enjoy your breakfast or an evening meal. It is also an advantage that you arrange trips and safaris around the country - we've visited the Nairobi National Park and Giraffe Centre and were happy to have done so through Khweza.

As mentioned above, the surroudings may seem a little discouraging at first. The rest was fine given the price of the room.

It was nice to have a restaurant on the roof top and not have to seek out meals. Staff were helpful and friendly. ABove all.......Peris, the tour coordinator, was our godsend. Because of her, we felt 100% confident in self planning our vacation. She booked us the BEST safari possible, even though it was at budget price. She helped arrange for drivers, booked our train tickets, and answered so many questions. All I can say is if you are planning your own vacation....book with Peris!

Budget hotel, however it was clean and had great staff. It was convenient to stay with them before and after the safari they arrange for you. Ask Peris to try to get you John as your safari driver!

Fantastic staff. We had a small confusion that Ken on reception handled extremely professionally and positively. Clean and charming building interior. Breakfast had good choices and it was so nice to be up high on the terrace. A real bonus. There's a dinner menu with drink avail. Reasonably priced. Our room had external windows which is impt to me. Some rooms have internal windows over the courtyard. There is a great cafe/bar with good espresso nearby (250 metres down the road beside Sarakasi Dome - turn right as you leave the guest house). It's a 20min walk into town navigating busy traffic and crowded streets w lots of stalls. An experience in itself!

We booked a room at Khweza B&B for our first 2 nights in Nairobi and for us it worked out very well. Very easy to communicate with the hotel, they arranged the airport transfer for us and were very helpful in general, making it easier for us to organize the activities in the capital. The room was ok for the price we paid and we enjoyed having a beer (or two :)) on the terrace. It's a fairly busy area, we felt safe but apparently it's better to wait inside the hotel for the taxi when it's dark. We would stay again at Khweza B&B.

The Khweza is a good affordable friendly stop for several days in Nairobi. The room was clean and everything worked. WiFi worked through out including the great roof top patio with city views, decorated with plants and a place to have a cold beer in the hot afternoon. Breakfast and dinner menu items were delicious prepared in the on site kitchen where there were wonderful aromas of good cooking every time I passed it. The staff was helpful in directions and organizing local tours. There is an onsite travel agent. Located within walking distance to several local markets, the museum and downtown. Little shops line the street that close at night. The actual street may appear a little daunting at first glance for first time travelers. The other travelers I met at the Khewza were families with small children, solo females and adult groups.

If noise is a problem ask for a room not facing the street. Trucks parked across the street start early in the morning. It was not too bad.

The rooftop restaurant was amazing and so was the breakfast. You could order breakfast from your phone the evening before, lots of choice, along with when, and the restaurant also had a selection of meals, beers, snacks and wine. The staff left us a little surprise in our room for our honeymoon as well. We had a mosquito net around our bed.

The area is a bit interesting for first time travelers to Nairobi. Essentially if you want to go out at night, order a Uber. The fact that the hotel has a restaurant is quite useful and we ate there most nights.

Friendly Staff: The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making our stay pleasant from the moment we arrived. Great Rooftop: The rooftop area was a highlight. Although we had to check out early for a flight and couldn't enjoy the breakfast, we did order drinks and food in the evening. The quality was excellent, and the prices were very reasonable, adding great value to our experience. Overall, our stay was enjoyable thanks to the friendly staff and delightful rooftop experience, but the shower drainage issue needs attention to improve the overall comfort and safety of the bathroom.

Shower Drainage: The shower had drainage issues, causing the catchment area to fill up and overflow onto the bathroom floor. This made the floor very wet and slippery, which was inconvenient and could be hazardous.

The best thing about this hotel is the staff. They are very friendly and helpful. Central location near to Cbd. Serve breakfast and dinner and sell some drinks too.

Slippery floor when it rains because rain comes in the hotel as the courtyard and balcony part is an open area. Can be noisy because of the design of the hotel and also central location. Sometimes neighbours working at the back alley till 2am. Not the hotels fault but it's the location. Hot water can be temperamental in some rooms.
