The food was excellent at breakfast and dinner was exceptional with Continetal, Indian and Asian dishes on offer.The Staff were also very pleasant and helpful. The location was superb with fine gardens, plants and flowers in the well tendered gardens The views over Ooty were spectacular from so High. The reason we chose this property from so many was the colonial charm - the hotel looked like it must have done in 1925 with old photos, prints and other memorabilia on show What history! The location was great, being away from the hustle and bustle of Ooty down below. Would definitely stay again.

Not a lot though a few tweaks could be in order such as net curtains where our bedroom was visible from other guests and staff. I do think though that only ours was affected. One BIG negative was the fact that the hotel did NOT serve wines, beers, cocktails etc.A big shame when such lovely food was served and not in keeping with the requirements of the modern international traveller!

We had booked 3 rooms. But when we saw the rooms they were very small, so Manoj the manager on duty happily upgraded us to better rooms with a sit out and a lovely lawn in front, with a view of Ooty. These. rooms were very good and comfortable, The staff were very helpful. The 2 ladies who cleaned the rooms were very good, unfortunately I do not know their names. Shekhar who was on night duty came and gave us hot water bottles which were so welcoming, he was also very helpful. The food was superb we had most of our meals at the hotel.

The initial rooms we had had booked very nor very good, but that is not really the fault of the hotel. It is what I had booked on line. The rooms we changed to were excellent. Because of the cold weather the food was getting cold. But again not the fault of the hotel, for example the soups were being served piping hot but were cold by the time we finished.

The look and feel of place is excellent. The front garden is excellent place to be in, perfect for photo session.

The site needs some maintenance to be done to increase the experience level. WC was not cleaned well, especially the area behing the cover joint - out of sight, out of mind. Food taste can be better. I stayed in Destiny Farms by the same company during the same trip, and the food taste was far better there.

Just mind blowing and exceptional stay we had a wonderful and a great stay Mr Sekar uncle the night manger took extra efforts to make us feel at home all the staffs working there were just so loving we just felt like home there and importantly thier food was just above the expectations it was just awesome as possible that flavour of the food will make your taste like heaven ❤️✨❤️thank you everyone for making our stay heavenly ❤️✨❤️

There's nothing to say that we didn't like about the stay

Good and quiet location, well maintained, well trained and friendly staff, a slight ‚touch of Britishness‘, fireplaces which are still working (!), tasty food in Restaurant - even suitable for sensitive european stomachs - you can even eat the salads there! Special thanks to staff member Shekar who provided a perfect turn down service at evening time. Bringing sweets, lighting fire in fireplace and bringing hot water bed bottels.

Nothing to complain

Front desk staff is very helpful and friendly. Manoj from front desk is very helpful. Hotel will arrange cab or auto for you if you are interested in local sightseeing. Food quality is excellent. Must Try - Continental food and Kabab . Breakfast spread is decent includes Idli, Medu Vada , Paratha, Poha etc.

Food is bit expensive. Room required little make over.

Homely, no stairs, spacious rooms, excellent food, very friendly and thoughtful staff. They provided bedtime chocolates, hot water bags and heater for the room. There was hot water immediately available in the taps and shower

Beautiful heritage property with great surroundings. Staff could not have been more helpful. Vimal, in reception, managed to get us an amazing room (ask for Prospero when you book). Regan brought us everything we asked for at breakfast. Shakar delivered nightly hot water bottles and checked our heater. We will definitely return!

Alcohol is not available (although you can buy it outside and bring it with you).

Lovely location, quirky colonial feel, comfortable and clean, beautiful garden and views. Staff helpful, Concerned as there are some bad reviews, at the end of the day its not 5 star but it’s not 5 star prices. Wouldn’t rave about the food but it was fine.

Built in 1900s and frequently visited by britishers This hotel will win your heart the moment you enter the gate. It has a very good ambience and positive vibes for relaxation. The breakfast buffet has a lot of options to choose and fill your tummy. The staff is also very friendly and cooperative.
