We used a reception and all facilities of the Hotel next to our Villa on the other side of the street. It seems that the owner of the Villa is a close friend (or the same person) as the owner of the hotel. Everything worked out perfectly.

The neighborhood didn't look like a safe place.

The room was clean and warm, including bathroom, there was an interior courtyard that looked nice and gives the place a private atmosphere. The stuff was very helpful and nice.

The smell outside was awfull, probably from some nearby factories. The location was not visible from the street, you have to go to the hotel nearby to check in. The parking is also at the hotel.

This will be a slightly longer review so be patient. Arriving there it was no sign to show you were the place is. Actully you need to call to the contact number and you will find out you need to go to the reception of hotel senator to actually do the check-in. I was given room no. 7 which was sort of ok except : a. some phone numbers written on the walls by some previous guests which they forgot to clean; b. the matress which was very hard. After 2 nights I complained at the reception and after the week-end they managed to give me a different room which was way much better and, very important, I could sleep properly. Apart from this the furniture is new and one can see they are trying to get to 4 stars hotels level and most of they time they also manage to get there. Room is generally quiet except a bit during the week-ends when there are parties/weddings scheduled at the restaurant. The "local specifics" is to have the music loud enough so that also neighbors know it's a party there. Not a big worry though - you could hear the music but not that loud and it would eventually stop at midnight. One thing worth mentioning : internet connection is very good, connection is stable and high speed. I could do video conferences with people all over the world and it was absolutely no problem. There is also a working desk and a chair and an power outlet easily reachable (no need to crawl under the desk). The TV sets are also high quality (Samsung) and have a decent size: if you bring a chromecast with you, you can plug it in and see your favorite shows.

There are 3 things which can be done better: 1. pay more attention to cleaning the room after the guests have been there. It is not right not to see things written on the wall of a room and this makes a bad first impression. 2. matress quality varies from room to room: in the first room it was very bad, in the second it was good. As part of the quality check when one room is ready someone from the staff should sleep in that bed for 2-3 night and give an honest feedback. If it's not good for him/her, then it's not good for custoers as well. 3. there is a weird smell in the bahtrooms - like wastewater or sewerage. One could temporarily fix this by leaving the bathroom window open but this will not work in the winter. It might be expensive to fix however it needs to be fixed otherwise it will drag the scores down in the long run.
