Every single staff member throughout our entire stay greeted us. The level of professionalism and attentiveness was as good or better than I've experienced at higher end properties. The guy at the front desk saw when he checked us in that we had our own water bottles, and he told us where we could find a water dispenser with filtered water in the fitness center. It was nice to have filtered water instead of just tap or buying bottled.

One morning during our stay the fire alarm went off. It was a false alarm. I think something got burned while they were making breakfast. It wasn't the most pleasant way to wake up at 6am, but accidents happen, and the staff handled the situation with urgency.

This is a great hotel for our stopping point from wv to fort myers. Holiday Inn Express is one of my top choices in a hotel brand. Sometimes it isn’t the cheapest option but anytime I book at a Holiday Inn Express I know I will have a clean room with clean bedding & free breakfast in the morning! Before we entered the lobby my daughter commented on how amazing it smelled. As soon as the lobby doors opened I knew what she was referring to. If I could sit all of my belongings in that lobby to get that smell on it & take it home with me I would. I can’t even explain the smell, it’s obviously an air freshener type smell but not overwhelming or headache-inducing. The gentleman at the front desk, Will, was so helpful & kind! He’s probably the nicest front desk person I’ve ever encountered during check-in. My daughter even commented about how nice he was after we checked in. We didn’t use the pool, our swimsuits were still packed in the car as this was just a pit stop. Our hand washing soap was out but I walked over to will & he gave me a bar of soap & I was fine with that since we’re only here for an overnight stay. I have no doubt, if I would’ve pressed the issue we would have a brand new hand washing soap installed not long after bringing it to Will’s attention. Breakfast was fantastic, another reason I love Holiday Inn Express. There was a variety of options for food & drink. The pancake machine got stuck when I was making a pancake but they were very quick to come fix it. I didn’t get a pancake but I could've if I still wanted one because it was fixed by the time I finished eating.

The only negative I can think of is temperature of the room through the night. When the air conditioner kicked off it would get hot really fast. As soon as the air conditioner came back on it was fine.

This is your standard Holiday Inn Express experience. Everything was as expected and at value. Nice, clean facility, clean room with everything in working order, and friendly staff. Convenient breakfast hours.

The breakfast served at these hotels makes me feel like a pet being fed dry kibble. IHG/Holiday Inn brands need to up their game. Send your food services people on a trip through Latin America staying at hotels to see how food should be done. While what is served at these hotels is "eatable" and "caloric," it's really pretty gross. You can do better, IHG, and it doesn't have to cost a lot. It just takes effort.

A truly fantastic stay. Hotel was very clean, inviting, very very nice. Room was clean, spacious, quality toiletries and amenities in the room. Bed was comfortable, we had a really relaxing stay. Breakfast was better than we expected with lots of choices. All well displayed and tasting delicious. The personnel was extremely helpful and polite - Thank you Tyler for great dining recommendations! Pizza lovers will not be disappointed at Tony & Al's Deli (a favorite of the locals), and if you'd like to try authentic Thai food visit Tip Thai Cuisine downtown Starke.

The staff was wonderful and friendly. The breakfast was good with lots of variety. I liked the back patio and the kind people who worked there.

The pool was closed and it was one of the reasons we rented the room in the first place. That was disappointing and no compensation was offered for the inconvenience.

It was very clean and the staff were very pleasant and the breakfast was amazing. It exceeded my expectations and made my children feel like they were in a fancy hotel lol for a mommy on a strict budget it made the difference in our holiday time together. I can't afford to travel much but this visit was worth every dime the buffet breakfast was their highlight lol thanks for the beautiful memories.

Nothing it was a great stay

Easy to find good location which was very clean,friendly helpful staff, breckfast included, and fairly reasonably priced considering this was a holiday weekend. Would stay again.

Paid and booked on booking.com in advance. At check in was required to give $50 deposit ( refundable) but not aware of this till check in. Was advised refund will be put back during business hours in 3 days. Checked out yesterday so waiting on refund.

Clean property, I recommend this facility compared to others. Room was clean, bathroom was clean. Staff very kind and understanding. I am deaf, staff didn’t brush me off, didn’t make me feel like a burden. Staff was very helpful during my stay. When I asked for help, they were very kind in helping me with anything I needed. Oh and I absolutely love that my room had a fridge, microwave and Keurig coffee machine!

The young ladies who check us in were so professional and polite. It was refreshing to have such outstanding service. The breakfast was a good amount of choices and delicious. Our beds/ pillow/ linen were so comfortable and the cleanliness of the room was immaculate. I was VERY impressed with this hotel and would stay again when in town to visit family without hesitation.

The con would be the AC was a little loud when it turned on and off.
