Deep in a concrete jungle lies a quiet oasis. As you pass an invisible border under the interstate it opens into a quiet haven. Regardless of the fact that the interstate is a stone’s throw from the property you would never know it with how quiet and serine it is; almost as if the troubles and problems of the outside world are not allowed here. The staff is one of a kind from the management to the dishwasher. The rooms ( I was lucky to stay in the Rachel suite) were clean, comfortable and quiet; almost as if you had stepped back in time. The bistro is definitely a must try; Incredible ambience and staff. I booked this place as an impulse and was so glad I did. Well done Cone Inn. Well done.
All it needed was a tiny post office, a gift shop and a community center and I would have a difficult time leaving.

This is a review of 2 nights in room #30, Luxury Suite. Thoroughly enjoyable with all of the modern comforts, in beautifully preserved and, where needed, restored buildings. We loved the balcony, the biggest towels I've seen at a hotel, a great shower, full kitchen, the A/C worked great, the bed was very comfortable. The location is great, love the free parking, within walking distance of the bars & restaurants we wanted to visit and the history museum. Everyone we talked to who works here was super friendly & helpful. The breakfast that comes with the room is basic but complete, with eggs, meat, potatoes or grits, and toast. Or you can order something a little more interesting and get a $5 discount on one of those meals. Between the 2 of us, we tried the basic, the avocado toast, a Benedict, and pecan French toast. All were perfectly executed. They serve real cream with the coffee. Having breakfast here went quickly and our server was great, very personable. Adorable place with French music playing, beautiful bar, a few beautiful lamps. One of my pics shows how thick the walls are of the building we stayed in. Our room was above the restaurant.
The only unusual thing about our room was that the one TV was in the bedroom, not the sitting room. The bedside tables on each side of the bed are tiny and there was room in the bathroom for a little table, which would have been appreciated, but there wasn't one. It would have been handy to have an ice cube tray in the freezer. Besides those minor things and some dirty windows in our room and in the restaurant, there's not much to complain about here.

The property was absolutely perfect. It was a step away from the busy city life but we could easily walk to downtown still. The rooms were spacious and the cafe was divine! Though modern, you felt like you were in a cozy little village. Our view was quaint. I only wished we stayed longer so I could paint out on the balcony. The hubby and I loved wandering the cobble streets, spotting the occasional kitty here and there. It was truly peaceful. If you are getting breakfast at their café, I would highly recommend the bourbon pecan French toast. It was honestly the best French toast I ever had and I love French toast.
Nothing I could complain about. It was worth the money and I would do it again.

Plenty of space for the family and the privacy of having our own space. Friendly, helpful, welcoming staff. Great customer service! Private parking behind the family bungalow. Super comfortable beds. Very clean. Great layout. The included breakfast was delicious. Great location, walking distance from several points of interests. Quiet area!
Only 1 room key. Unfortunately, the area nearby is wooded so spiders/ insects are coming in from outside. We didn't like that there was a random cat outside on the patio.

This was unlike anything I've experienced before! We turned onto the cobblestone street to find strug lights crossed above the street from building to building! It created an amazing ambiance. Felt like going back in time without sacrificing conveniences. The hardwood floors were solid with no creaking, though I wouldn't have minded a little. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and special. The grand porches had gas-lite scones. The people were all amazing. I definitely want to visit often!
The bistro was expensive, but the food was out of this world! Truly fine dining. Honestly, I've never had food this fancy and delicious before! Regardless of my inexperience with this kind of dining, everyone was so welcoming and inviting.

The place is so beautiful and well preserved. They do such a good job of adding modern touches without compromising the rich history. The staff is so kind and accommodating. You can hang out in the lobby in the parlour, sip on a nice drink and talk to your friends. The rooms have super comfortable beds with a spacious bathroom. The breakfast is a small fee if you stay and is offered across the street. Downtown is only a short walk away passing by Fort Conde on the way. Highly suggest staying here!
Gym wasn’t open. But it’s not a huge deal! They are working on it.

A fun and charming Inn. Our Suite was nicely decorated and very comfortable. The staff was friendly, helpful and professional. The food at the Bistro was incredible.
A big drawback is that the Inn is located right next to the highway and the train tracks. The non-stop noise throughout the night was pretty bad. After our second night, my husband and I purchased earplugs which helped a lot. The noise factor is really the only reason we would not choose to stay at this Inn again.

A beautiful and unique stay that transports you back in time. We truly appreciate that so many old houses have been preserved, allowing us to enjoy our stay there. The breakfast at the Bistro was excellent, and Glenn provided us with fantastic service, including recommendations for day trips and tips on how to avoid the heavy traffic during the holiday weekend.

I had never been to Mobile and it was all so pleasant. This is a very nice place to stay, so close to the city and a nice break from the usual city hotel room. We had a king suite which was lovely.
They charged 16$ for early check in. I frabkly didnt understand what it cost them... the room was ready, there was no expedited cleaning or anything... other hotels let me in if the room is ready. We wanted to make it to the Africatown Heritage museum and it was only 16 so we paid. Just seems there are so many extra fees anymore...

I liked the attention to details. The staff was efficient, helpful and courteous. Rooms were clean. Our view from our window was the brick streets. Walking distance to downtown Mobile, the Mobile cruise terminal and attractions. A free or discounted breakfast with our reservation to Bistro St Emanuel. $$. Over all we had a wonderful time exploring the down town historic areas.
Street parking only for those that are not going on a cruise. Free garage parking the day before or day after you go on cruise. And you would have to walk across under the freeway(interstate) to go back and forth to your car. Our room was advertised as being sound proof. It was quiet other than hearing out neighbor above walking across their floor.
