Location, decor, Patricia at reception and everywhere!, the food and the support. Make sure to eat there.
I did reserve a single room and expected small, but don’t recommend being in the attic space. It is a tiny room, quite stuffy and hot, and up at the tippy top of the establishment with only one small window to open for air .

Beautiful and very clean, it was a great stop on the Camino del Norte for me! I had delicious fish in the evening and enjoyed the sun from the huge shutter windows in my room. The bath was very welcome 🙏
I was a little disappointed that the peregrino discount couldn't be applied if I'd booked on booking.com. I booked on here to ensure I had a room for certain - the other website the receptionist showed me was not user friendly in my opinion 😞. I was also a bit confused when I came down for breakfast and it seemed to be a big issue that I hadn't stated I wanted breakfast the day before.

I have never given a 10 but this place deserves an 11. So clean, so uniquely decorated. So thoughtfully arranged and generously stacked with everything I could have wanted in my room. Quiet, beyond clean. I loved it and cannot find anything wrong with it….which I always do :)
It was perfect

This is a beautiful family-run hotel. We had a lovely dinner (arranged in advance) and the breakfast was excellent. There is a lovely sitting room for guests where you can read a book or relax. We enjoyed the history of the building which has been in the family for many generations.

This is such a lovely hotel! Decorated like a museum, makes you feel at home. The staff was nice, the room was sparkling clean and had a bathtub as a nice surprise.
Advice to the owners - to put moscito nets on the windows

Just the most delightful stay I’ve had since in Spain. The 3 storied house is full of family treasures and collectables. The Evening meal was delicious and well received. I would recommend a visit to this wee gem.

The location just as you enter the town is very handy especially if you have just finished another stage of the Camino. Really helpful front of house staff with great English . Really quirky and interesting decor throughout with a theme of Spain in the past . Uber clean bathroom . Good rates.
I can’t find a fault with this hotel.

When we got to the hotel we discovered we had mistakenly booked a single rather than a double room. Our host rectified the booking and accommodated us. We enjoyed home cooked food during our stay as well as very comfortable, clean facilities. Loved it there!

Probably one of the best places you could possibly stay on the Camino Norte. Absolutely wonderful: staff, decor, comfort, restaurant. The history of the building and its connection to the family that operates the hotel is heartwarming. Definitely worth the effort to stay here.
Just a small note: Despite what online sources might say, washer/dryer is not really readily available. However, the Albergue in town has such services.
