Modern, big, comfortable rooms (apartment and studios), very nice and friendly host (Johnny) and staff. Johnny speaks very good English and Dutch. First, Johnny gave me an apartment on the 4th floor. I didn't like it. Hot and unpleasant. I have then upgraded to a studio on the 2nd floor. Very nice, big living room with kitchen. The apartment had only a fridge and a microwave. I don't know if all apparemments are like that, you should ask. It's much less convenient than a full kitchen like the one I had in the studio. The description in Booking is not ckear on this point. The location is not central. But it's easy to get to the more lively places by taxi. It's better to set the price beforehand. To get to the plateau I was once asked 300 cve ($3), but if you propose 200 cev they all will accept. To Kebra Kanela, Prainha, they have accepted 150 cve. To come back to the hotel: not all taxi drivers know the hotel, but you can say "Benfica", the restaurant next to it (btw a very good restaurant with a very good breakfast with free service for 600 cve). During the day you can easily get a taxi just standing next to Benfica. During the night, it is more difficult. I asked for the phone number of 3 taxi driver, I would call them to go out and to come back. It is considered dangerous to walk in quiet streets alone during the night. Not a good idea to come from Kebra Kanela (a lively beach not far away) to the hotel. Taxis are a necessity, for every displacement during the night, not only from and to the hotel. Besides Benfica, the nicest thing in the neighborhood is the sidewalk on the seaside. Very close, one minute walk from the hotel. There is no beach, only rocks. Beautiful and pleasant, perfect for a walk or a joking early in the morning.

Everything went smoothly, from the late-night airport pick-up, to the check-in and the check-out. We only stayed one night, but really had a nice stay, in a nice, quiet and secure neighbourhood. The room itself was clean and had everything we needed. Johnny is very caring with the guests and makes sure they have a good stay by offering/suggesting all sorts of services and by asking if all is as expected. When checking out, we forgot a charger in the room and only noticed it 2 days later. I contacted Johnny to let him know, and we were able to pick it up from the hotel a few days later, without any issues.

There are no elevators, so if you're travelling with big suitcases, and you are staying in higher floors, be ready to do some heavy lifting...lol. But that wasn't really an issue for us, and doesn't prevent us from going back!

The spacious appartment had everything I needed, including the kitchen equipment. It was cleaned daily. In the third floor so relatively calm. It looks exactly as in the pictures, comfortable bed, clean bathroom, AC, calm neighbourhood, breakfast in the restaurant on the corner. But the absolute top is Johnny who welcomed us and helped us to arrange everything from the airport pickup to renting a car for a really good price, all with a wide smile on his face!!!

The host is amazing -friendly, helpful and one man travel agency! He made our stay unforgettable and managed to make our stay on the island exceptional with two tours he organized for us. The room is very clean.

We had no wi-fi for more than half of our stay and when we got it it was fairly weak. On our first day the draft closed the door separating bathroom and bedroom from the rest of the apartment and then we realised the door didn't have a doorknob -it was locked. Luckily the maid was brave and entered the appartment from the neighboring terrace - we still needed to keep the door stuck with the chair in order for it not to close again. The bed was also pretty squeaky.

Enjoyed every bit of my stay at Aparthotel Praiano.The Manager,John was very welcoming and provided a lot of info that was useful in navigating our way around the city. The location is perfect and just a few minutes walk to the beach.The rooms were very clean and amenities are well maintained.The staff were incredibly friendly and ever ready to offer assistance.All of this contributed to making our stay in Praia a pleasant and a memorable one. Will definitely recommend.

I had a nice stay at Aparthotel. The place was clean and comfortable and has the necessary facilities for a short to long-term stay. There are three restaurants within close proximity (including a sushi place), and the sea is nearby. Our pickup from and back to the airport went smooth, thanks to Johnny. I would totally recommend.

Very highly recommended to stay here, especially if you decide to use Praia as your base to discover this amazing country. The apartment is huge, really huge, the bed and the entire bedroom is very comfortable. The bathroom is clean, spacious, everything works smoothly and not that I needed, but you get your own dryer too. There are two small shops nearby (2 mins on foot), several nice restaurants with local and usual international food if that's what you are after. Bus 8, which takes you downtown for 50 ESC is 5 minutes walk, the shopping mall (atm, supermarket etc) is also there. One of the nicest beaches in the city is also 5 minutes by foot. Walking to downtown is also fun and fine, it takes about 25 minutes, almost entirely right by the coast, so it is a really nice walk, did it many times. I had breakfast included in my stay, served just next door: nothing unnecessarily fancy, great omelette, cheese, fruits, coffee, and of course cachupa - but not any kind, in fact one of the best I had throughout my entire stay, don't miss it! Yes, the neighbourhood is very safe (not that I had any issues anywhere during my 2+ weeks) and quiet both during the day and the night. If you are traveling alone, especially as a woman, this place is perfectly safe - the entire walk from downtown Praia to the block is illuminated, based on the plates most of the neighbours are diplomats and you have security guards at every 200 meters. I left the best and most important for last: the owner of the place. Johnny is the perfect host, like your long lost high school friend: he knows everything and can arrange anything, but also leaves you alone if that's what you want (that's what I needed). He is easygoing (like almost everyone around here), easy to reach, speaks English and I think French apart from Kriol, Portuguese and Dutch. You can tell his love for Cape Verde and his job the minute you meet him. I would definitely come back again.

Our host Johnny is super friendly and helpful. He organised a pickup & drop off from/to the airport. Johnny gave us all the information that we needed during our stay. We even came back for our last 3 nights because everything was super clean and tidy. Rooms get cleaned daily and the staff is friendly too. We definitely recommend staying here. Thanks Johnny!

The location was fine for us, you could walk easily to the shopping mall where they have great coffee and breakfast. Also the beach isn't too far walking from the hotel and taxi's are cheap if you don't like to walk..

Kitchen was ok/good for cook Very nice, friendly and great housekeeping ladies :) Good Service at reception upon arrival. Good Television and wonderful Rain Shower ! No Stress Holiday Feeling 😀

An elevator would be good for Initial baggage carry up to 4th floor but I took it sportive :)
