The staff is helpful and friendly. The facilities in the room are great. The view from the room is amazing. The non-smoking room is really without smoking smell. The location is the key that we book this apartment. Above a shopping mall and metro station, walking distance to the Beijing Road Pedestrian Street.

There are many agencies that are also renting apartments on the same building, the reception of Pengman is not at the front hall but just behind it, connected to the shopping mall, so it is easy to get to the wrong reception-desk at first for check-in. In the rush-hours, the lifts can be busy.

The place is very central. Right on top of the Gongyuanqian metro station. The building is directly connected to the metro station, no need to go to the street to take it (especially helpful when it is super hot or raining). It is also 5 minutes walking from Beijing Road, pedestrian street full of shopping centres. The rooms are big and well equipped. Perhaps not the best decoration. But they are cheap for what they offer. The building is modern and tall, built in 2013. Well maintained.

The only grievance is that the entrance to the apartments can be difficult to find. It can be reached from inside the shopping mall (called Amall) at the ground floor, or from outside the building, from a secondary parking alley. If you don’t find the entrance just walk surrounding the building, and at some point you’ll find the entrance to the hall with the receptions of the different apartment companies (which is a different entrance than the main one of the shopping mall). The people at reception don’t speak one word of English unfortunately. But Google Translate will do. Do not forget to get a VPN software before you go to China! Slow lifts by the way.

The location is right above the Metro station and close to so many eateries. The busy life upto late at night made the area sage to enjoy evening walls and shopping. Despite the high traffic of guests within the building, the many lifts made movement to and from the room very fast and not congested.

That there was no sitting area at the front desk. My flight was in the evening, so after checking out of the room, there was nowhere to sit as I waited to leave for the airport.

We have stayed in this buidling before but different apartment. We love the location. Central to all we needed to do in Guangzhou. The metro is underground as well as a shopping mall. A short walk to Beijing li and Haizhu square. We loved that they provided pots and plates, cutlery etc. We also loved the washing machine.

It could be more clean. Hairs everywhere and beds barely moved to clean. Could do with a draw string to put clothes to dry after using the washing machine.

The apartment was ideally located, it was very clean and the room was spacious for a family of 6 persons with 3 large double beds. Shower room and bath were great, good hot water and a powerful shower, the bathroom had towels, toothbrushes, razors, soap, shampoo and other items along with a hairdryer. We were on the upper floor of the apartment block but there were a number of lifts and it was never busy unlike some apartments we have stayed in, in the past. Thanks for the great stay.

The only thing that we think could have been better was the internet which was a bit slow.

- We asked the apartment guy to book a taxi to the airport, he confirmed, then when we asked him about it when checking out he asked us to wait for 30 minutes ad they didn't book it. This was very unprofessional as it could have led to us missing our flight.

Picking up the keys was very straightforward, when we made the booking the hotel offered to organise an airport pick up which was very good. The transfer cost about 250 Yuans. The hotel is in an excellent spot right next to a Metro station which was excellent. We got the metro to most places we only used a taxi once in the 4 days we were there.

There was a glass door on the bathroom and I am not ready to embrace going to the toilet as a spectator sport just yet

One of the biggest advantage of staying in A Mall regardless of numerous companies found like Pengman is the metro line 1&2 beneath the same building,no need to go outside. Pengman apartment was as follows 1.Comfortable bed 2.Well equipped kitchen and bathroom. 3.Daily complimentary toiletries were given along with bottles of water for consumption. 4.Controlled access to lifts.

1.I booked my room nearly 2 weeks ago,made clear request for non smoking room but was given smoking room,upon arrival at 1 a.m room was stinking like hell,had to leave windows upon to dissipate cigarette odor. 2.Staff on counter never spoke english,very difficult to communicate. 3.Room was ocasionally not cleaned,happened thrice during our 2 weeks stay. 4.Room was not properly cleaned,stayed another apartment in A mall before and room service was exceptional. 5.Was supposed to stay in room over yuexiu park but was given on other side of building with view on city.

The apartment is in an excellent location. It is very close to the metro station, making transportation easy and convenient. It is also near markets and popular shopping streets, offering quick access to everything you need
