Cool, quiet (given you are in the middle of NYC), staff very friendly, comfortable beds, safe. The location is okay, within walking distance of Little Italy, the Ghostbusters building and the World Trade Center memorial.

A fridge and safe are needed in the room; food is too expensive in NYC and so when we had leftovers, there was nowhere to put it (I do not feel safe putting it in a public fridge in the basement, sorry. That is food and anyone can mess with it). A safe is needed for passport and money, which is standard at most places for international travelers. Single women traveling solo may not feel safe in the area at night.

Good location: close to metro and walking distance to Soho and villages. Safe: hotel entrance is locked at night and there was always someone at the desk. Staff is friendly and helpful. Relatively quiet: although located in a busy street in front of a very noisy train, the double window glass did the work and I slept well. Room was small but well organised and clean. Shower was great and with amenities. There was a fridge in common area as well as hot water. Luggage storage- unlike most hotels in NYC, Mimosa agreed to store our luggage for 5$ a night.

Location is good and the hotel was secured but when stepping outside of the hotel the neighbourhood felt unsafe to walk at night. Specially for single (female?) travellers: drug addicts and homeless under the bridge nearby. During the day felt safe and very busy. Noisy and busy outside (see my comment about the good windows)

The room was exactly what I needed for a short two night stay where I was out all day and only needed a place to sleep. Nothing more, nothing less. The room was small but clean and comfortable. Although the hotel is right next to the bridge, I found it to be pretty quiet at night. Earplugs were available upon request. Perfect location, just a short walk to the F Train (East Broadway) and not far from B + D trains (Grand St). Fresh towels available daily and the room has hairdryer, shampoo, conditioner, soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, razor. Reception was nice and helpful whenever I needed anything. Even before I arrived, they were responsive to messages I sent on Booking.com. The lists of coffee / breakfast / food recommendations were a nice touch - I ended up going to one of the recommended places (Kong Sihk Tong) and it was delicious.

Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and would stay there again. That said, the room was pretty expensive for the size (nearly 200 CAD a night), but I understand that this is on par with other accommodations in the city. The convenient location makes up for it. I wish the rooms came with mini fridges but there is a communal fridge in the basement (C level) where the vending machine is. You just need to label your food. This wasn't a huge issue but my room was quite cramped and my bed was really close to the door. You can easily hear people in the hallway but thankfully other guests were very quiet during my visit so it actually wasn't an issue. The size of the room was just enough for one person.

The bed were comfortable and everything was very clean. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making our stay as convenient and stress-free as possible. The hotel is next to a raised subway track, but the noise was barely noticeable, I guess they have really good insulating windows! There was also a heating lamp in the bathroom to make it more warm there! At one point we asked for some glue to repair a paper tear, and they kindly provided what we needed. After checking out, were also able to store our luggage with them prior to leaving for the airport. Thank you guys so much!

The hotel is very good, located in Chinatown, which is super cool and different. I walked around the neighborhood a lot and found it very safe. The staff is friendly, and there are amenities like shampoo, conditioner, moisturizer, a dental hygiene kit… The bed is comfortable and the shower is great. It’s right in front of the subway, but the double windows reduce the noise a lot. The only drawback is that it didn’t quite match the photos shown at the time of booking, but it’s still a very good hotel. Recommend it!

The hotel staff were very nice and cordial and explained everything. The room isn't the biggest, but to be expected in New York. The bed and cushions were comfortable. Just a 5-min walk from 2 metro stations, making it easy to get around the city. The room was always tidy and clean when we got back. Check-out was fast, and we were able to leave our bags at the hotel to roam around the city before going back to pick them up to go to the airport.

The ONLY negative I can find is the window wouldn't stay wide open, so I had to use the curtains to keep it like that. I like to air out my room. But other than that I didn't have any major problems during my stay.

Small, quiet and very comfortable hotel. Very welcoming staff. Medium size room but well equipped (direct USB connections, good Wifi) and good size bathroom. The service room (microwave, fridge, kettle) is very convenient. Grocery stores nearby. Many restaurants with authentic Asian cuisine in the area. The Brooklyn Bridge and City Hall are a fifteen-minute walk away and and there are nearby several subway lines for quick access to downtown Manhattan.

The windows of the room cannot be opened for those who like the fresh air but the general air conditioning is efficient without being violent and the double windows guarantee silence in the room.

Location is close too many good places to eat, mainly asian food. It is within a walking distance to Brooklyn bridge, and 3 metro stations for different lines. Soft comfortable bed, very good bathroom amenities. Great communication before arrival, information is concise and clear.

I heard many reviews about the noise as the hotel is close to the railroad. Yes it is quite noisy (all day) but I am a good sleeper so did not really have a problem with it :) Room rate is quite high however I would stay here again if I come to New York.

The hotel is a sweet little retreat in Chinatown. While on the small side (small lobby, elevator, hallways, room), it is delightfully cozy and comfortable. The room is not spacious by any means, so a larger person might find it too tiny, but it has all the essentials...great bed, TV, place to plug in your phone, desk, hang bar for clothes. I've stayed here before in a room with two twins, which was a little larger than the single queen room, and next time I visit I'll likely do the two twins as it's just a bit more space to move around for two people. But size is a small concession to make in order to have such a great price! If you want a safe, immaculately clean, kindly-staffed hotel where you can rest your head after a weary day traipsing about Manhattan spending the money you didn't have to pay for your hotel, look no further. It's a short walk to the Metro and there's enough hustle and bustle all the time that it is safe to walk. Easy walkability, with only 5-10 minutes to Little Italy. One particularly great feature is the insulated window which keeps out the sounds of the city. The front desk gives you great printed lists of local places to eat and shop, and the staff is very cordial! Will definitely stay again.

If I were a large person, I might not like the overall diminutive size of everything. But for two women having fun in the city, it was terrific.

The location is perfect for a stay in Manhattan. Short walks to subay stations or bus stops, loads of restaurants nearby and nice recommendations for local attractions, restaurants and gimmicks nearby from the staff. The reception is occupied 24/7 with very polite and helpful staff. The room was clean, the bathroom was fully working with hot water and good water pressure. There were USB charging sockets so we didn't even need adaptors for our EU devices. The TV supported the most common streaming services. The wifi was flawless and easy to connect with. Although the hotel is directly next to a highly used train track the noise was barely noticeable. There was a microwave for common use. All in all a very pleasant stay especially for the fairly low price.

The AC is not controllable from the room itself but only via the reception which is a bit unhandy.
