This is a large and busy property, but seems smaller because there are only 10 rooms on each of 42 floors. Our room was very small but thoughtfully designed. There was no desk or dresser, but we had storage drawers under the bed and in bedside tables. The bathroom was small but shower was of adequate size. Air conditioning worked well, once we discovered how to control it properly.

Breakfast is not included in the rate. The restaurant on the premises seemed very overpriced. Elevators were relatively efficient, but there was some congestion at peak times. The hotel charged us a "destination fee" of $30 per night ... I would prefer this to be included in the nightly rate for easier comparison. One morning there was extensive testing of the fire alarm system and intercoms, which lasted more than an hour.

This Motto is a great option for staying in lower Manhattan and we were comfortable and well cared for during our entire stay. The rooms are standard size for the city, but the modular storage and under-bed space as well as shelves and hooks made it easy to function even in close quarters. Location wise this was great for both work and proximity to bars, restaurants, theatre and shopping. Super easy subway access. Comfy bed, great shower, strong wifi, kind staff. Clean, well designed, fun and cute.

The scrambled eggs at Lulla are delicious and the waitstaff are friendly and attentive, as are the hotel staff. At the front desk, Relly who checked me in and out was awesome. The room has great lighting, design and ambiance. It was a really comfortable space and energy. Bonus points for the light up room numbers on the floor at the door entrance. The hotel is in Chelsea, but it's a block from the Flatiron district and Madison Square Park. There is SO MUCH to do nearby and several subway stations are a block or two away in any direction.

The only thing that was not great are the towels. They're terrible. Worn out and dry. I was honestly surprised because I've stayed in way worse hotels with much better towels. Overall A, the towels get a D+.

We were close to the subway, Starbucks, little stores and deli type places. Great pizza all over the place. Now the hotel offers two free waters per room but they have price tags on them which made me wonder if they'd charge us but they didn't. They do a $10 off per room per day but the hotel restaurant is very expensive so the $10 doesn't really make a dent in your bill but you can get a coffee at the bar every day to use that. The rooms are classy enough and beds are very comfortable. They are small and maybe only 10 rooms per floor. They don't have closets but you hang your clothes on the wall pegs or fold them in drawers under your bed. The only thing I found missing was a safe but funny thing and worth noting is it's under one of the beds in a drawer but I didn't find it til I was packing to go lol. My toilet was not fixed to the tile which I reported to the main desk. Hoping they fix that in 3408. It could have felt less to rickety had that been secured. Also, the shower handle/faucet broke during my daughter's shower late at night so it wouldn't turn off. I called the main desk maybe around 11 pm and someone came and fixed it, got the water off and handle working in a reasonable fast time. I didn't ask for compensation and they didn't offer so I'm not sure if they would have offered anything. It feels like a place that doesn't. I had gotten permission through booking.Com to stay a bit later on my two rooms since I had a 4:45 flight but the in person people said only til 1:00. It worked out I guess since we needed to leave earlier anyway but there seems to be a disconnect with who answers here and the actual hotel. They didn't have the names listed right in their computer but had the 2nd person's name mooshed with the last name.

The hotel’s location was fantastic—right in the heart of Manhattan and conveniently close to the subway, Starbucks, Dunkin’ Donuts, supermarkets, and a variety of restaurants. We especially enjoyed the view from our room on the 32nd floor; it was truly impressive.

The room itself was quite small and may not be suitable for families or couples looking for a more spacious stay. Unfortunately, not all of the front desk staff were friendly or accommodating. The TV offered very limited functionality—no channel guide or program info, and it wasn't connected to the internet. Additionally, the in-room phone didn’t work, and despite informing the reception, it was never repaired. This meant we had to take the elevator down to the front desk for any request, which was inconvenient.

The location of this hotel is great. Very walkable to the best neighborhoods.

The rooms were very tiny. I thought it was pricey for what you get.

The hotel is in a great location, just away from the hustle and bustle of the time square area but close enough that we walked but there's also good access to public transport. We stayed in a family room with 4 twin beds and this as perfect for our family of two adults and two teenaged children. It was great to be able to climb into our quiet space each evening and have a little bit of relative privacy. Although the room was small, the space was well thought out with enough storage so that we weren't tripping over our belongings- which as a family of 4 staying for a week were plentiful.

There was often a wait for the elevators at busy times as there were only 4 elevators for the whole hotel, but this wasn't a huge problem. Similarly, the reception desk tended to be busy, so it would have been good to have more staff on the reception, but the staff were helpful and friendly even though they were busy.

Great location and very comfortable. The hotel is super clean, the room well designed ( I stayed with a friend and we each had very comfortable queen beds and enough room to store our belongings which is not often the case in NY hotels). I was amazed by how busy it was at all times of day, and yet everything kept moving at a great pace. All of the staff were super attentive and kind, front the front desk to the cleaning crew. Another bonus was I sent a package to the hotel which arrived a day before my arrival and they safely stored it. Both my friend and I had to work while here, and they had a lovely open layout lounge that provided different places to work (although it is open so calls are not private). Would highly recommend!

The bathroom could use extra hooks and shelves for storing items.

Elevator slow

Good location, walking distance to tourist attractions but out of the hustle and bustle. Chic, modern decor with an NY twist. Jazz band started playing in the bar as we checked in which set the tone! King size room was compact but well set out. 11th floor has a decent street view but no classic skyline. We would definitely stay again.

No rooftop bar but lots of bars etc in the neighbourhood. Decor getting slightly scruffy.
