What a pleasant suprise! I was having a course for 5-6 days in Columbia and stayed here. Location awesome, neighborhood safe. The room was so cosy and tidy and they thought of everything! It was so clean and the bed was amazing. But above all: the gentlemen in the lobby downstairs made my day everyday. So gentle, so nice, so hartwarming. Keep up the good work!

You should know that they do not offer breakfast. They have a sufficient lobby in the basement where you can warm up food or have your own breakfast! Bed was amazing, only the sheet was very loose, bit strange. But regarding this is the only complaint, I can def advise you to book here!

The only hotel in the Washington Heights area, offering very good value for those that need access to the nearby NYC Presbyterian hospital or Columbia facilities. The rooms were surprisingly quiet, cozy and all the amenities worked. Bathroom was fine, everything was very clean. Maid service each day. The front staff was very friendly and accommodating, always greeting you with a smile. They also brought up a mini fridge which made our extended 2-week stay much more comfortable. The neighborhood looks rough--and it probably is later at night--but it has a lot of character. There's lots of food places, a supermarket, even a Target all within walking distance. The subway is a three minute walk down the street.

The air conditioner cooled, but it didn't seem cool enough. Those appliances make noise, something I'm not a fan of. But it never got too hot. And the windows opened and let in cool air.

The staff were amazing , housekeeping prepared my room daily. Eric at the front desk is the very best he went above And beyond for me.as my husband was in the hospital he,, made sure that I got into the cab safety and that anything I requested restaurants directions and any questions that I had All front desk staff were very good but Eric was a stand out .He deserves a accolades.

I didn't understand the heating system.

Very close to the subway station (trains A and 1) Nice view One of the receptionist was really nice and welcoming (unfortunately I dont know his name)

a bit expensive for what it is there are some snacks and drinks available for a fee, i didnt ask for the price right away but then i saw the huge amount to pay.. just for some chocolate bars and drinks. If i knew i would have gone to the closest supermarket. I understand the prices in a hotel are higher than outside but this was way too expensive ! Be careful with the prices

Most everything. Room was smaller than we're used to but that's NYC. Rates were competitive, location was excellent - just minutes to walk to subway lines and amazing food (bagels, pizza, delis)! Front desk / security was excellent, very friendly and helpful.

Room doors close soundly - which is a good thing. We had a couple with 2 kids next door, the first night we were awoken several times by their door slamming closed. The next day I asked if they could not slam the door at night, they apologized and must have talked with the kids because no more loud bangs after that.

The rooms were very clean and the hotel itself was VERY clean even on the outside!! The location was perfect, due to me needing to walk to the Armory for an event to see my son in college. The only thing that was an issue was finding food, since I was alone, I did not feel safe to travel alone to find any. But the deil across the street had food there that I could eat. The most important issue that I was to mention is the staff member who works there Luis Gonzales, he went above and beyond to help me with a really bad situation. When a cab was called from me by this hotel and I was being driven to the airport and mid-way to the destination I was being put out of the cab due to not having cash!! I was super scared and I was able to beg the driver to take me back to the hotel and he did Luis was there to help me get other travel arrangements to the airport, long story short Luis then had a staff member call me that night to make sure that I arrived home back to Georgia!!!

The taxi service was the worst that I had experienced during my entire trip. I was told before traveling that New York people were rude and nasty to people, it was my first trip there and that taxi cab driver almost made me not want to come back!! But Luis Gonzales was able to help me, so I felt a little better. I will never forget this incident ever.

Hotel is very quiet, the staff is super friendly and helpful, it's a bit far away from downtown Manhattan but very well connected with express subway, convenient to have the deli at the corner. Gym and lounge room with microwave was very convenient, views from our room of Manhattan in the far distance was beautiful, room small but clean, good beds, good size modern bathroom

I wished the room was a bit bigger, with three people we were a bit on top of each other. I missed a little fridge

I liked that the room and hotel was clean. I liked the location for what I was in town for, I walked there. It also had a Starbucks, McDonald’s and Taco Bell close by. The employees sealed the deal. Everyone was exceptionally nice and welcoming! No favor turned down, no frowns. It was smiles across the board. They were fantastic.

The only thing I didn’t care for was it was smaller than what I’m used to. But I will take a smaller room that was clean AND has excellent employees. The front desk staff was too legit to quit. They were beyond excellent.

Good location, close to the subway, small room but had everything we needed. Since we were staying 6 days they gave us a fridge for the room too! Staff was so kind and helpful and got us anything we needed and answered all questions and needs quickly. Above and beyond!

We have stayed at the Edge Hotel many times in the past. As always the staff was very accommodating and friendly. And the rooms were very clean.

Please bring back the continental breakfast. This was available on our earlier stays and we missed it very much. This really could make the difference on future bookings.
