Great property close subway, We had a quiet room at the back of the property. Breakfast was satisfactory. By New York standards its good value. The subway makes it close to NYC.

The area is a bit dodgy. Lots of homeless but never felt unsafe. Plenty of restaurants and fast food joints close by.

I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The location, close to the subway station, made it convenient to access the places in Manhattan I wanted to visit. The room was impeccably clean and tastefully furnished. It was a nice touch to find a coffee maker in the room, which I greatly appreciated. The lobby served as a comfortable spot to wait for my wife. Overall, it was a good experience, but these two points could make the stay even better.

However, there were two aspects I was less pleased with: a) The hotel's use of plastic dishes and packaging at breakfast was not environmentally friendly. It would be great if they could consider more sustainable alternatives. b) Unfortunately, the windows in the rooms were permanently closed, making it impossible to enjoy fresh air. This meant we had to rely on the air conditioner throughout our stay.

Convenient location to attractions we were visiting - Arthur Ave and NYBG.

Lobby restaurant had DJ playing very loud music during afternoon brunch and during dinner hour. Opted to order Uber Eats and eat in room because too loud for dinner conversation. Complimentary breakfast didn't offer any healthy options, no fresh fruit or higher fiber breakfast bars, for example.

Location: 50mt away from the subway. One stop away Manhattan/Harlem and few stops/20min from Midtown/Lower Manhattan area. Quite area overall, nice vibe, very clean property. Hotel provides free water fountain (still and sparkling) 24/7 for guests, really appreciated! Room: decently sized, clean, well equipped with all necessary amenities and a silent but powerful a/c. Comfortable bed. Breakfast: served at ground floor, it has a decent choice of sweet and savory items, overall good quality. Staff: special mention for the ladies at the front desk, always smiling and ready to help & support on all requests we had during our stay. Also Rosa and her team at the restaurant were a vibing and funny addition to the experience.

Bit noisy surroundings, with trains passing by the nearby railways, but nothing dramatic. We slept like babies with no disturbance

Wingate by Wyndham Bronx Haven Park offers a clean, modern stay with thoughtful amenities and a welcoming vibe. The rooms are compact but well-designed, with comfortable beds, plenty of charging ports, and a sleek bathroom setup. I especially appreciated the complimentary sparkling and still water dispensers—such a convenient touch! The location is just a block from the subway, making it easy to reach Manhattan in minutes. While the surrounding area feels a bit gritty and many nearby shops are vacant, I felt safe walking to and from the station. The hotel itself is secure and well-maintained. Breakfast is simple but satisfying, with options like bagels, waffles, and yogurt. The on-site Latin fusion restaurant adds a nice flair, and the rooftop terrace is a great spot to unwind. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. Overall, it’s a solid choice for travelers who want a clean, comfortable base with quick access to the city—especially if you’re not planning to spend much time in the room.

The location is close to Metro and bus station, very easy to get around with public transport. Joselei is really nice and helpful. I asked for a quiet room, I can see they tried their best for this. The AC is not so loud. There are some shops nearby.

The hotel is close to the railway, if you are a light sleeper, this can be a problem. They did not clean the room until I asked them to vacuum clean, because I could see a lot of dust on the floor and the surface. The breakfast was poor, otherwise I could rate a 9 for my stay. The elevator makes "ding-ding" sound in the night, which is not so good for sleeping. I believe they could remove this sound.

We booked this hotel due to the fact it was 1/3rd of the price of all other hotels between Christmas and new year. This hotel is in the bronx but barely. If you get the express 4 or 5 line subway it will take you 15 mins to get there from grand central. Then it is a 2 minute walk from the station. The staff were friendly and welcoming on check in. We stayed on the 10th floor with a king bed. The rooms aren’t huge (space down the far side of the bed is just big enough to walk down), but well laid out and well finished. Our sink was in the room and the bathroom is made of slightly opaque glass (small toiletries were provided). If you are going with a friend make sure you are comfortable with each other! We were opposite the lift but couldn’t hear too much from there (there are only 10 rooms on that floor). Some rooms face Manhattan but you can’t see much from there. Most rooms overlook the railway lines so bring some earplugs if you are a light sleeper but it didn’t bother us. The water refill station for still and sparkling water is a great addition so bring your own bottles (or reception can give you one). The Complimentary breakfast with Tea, coffee, juice, cereal, pasties, muffins and bagels was a nice added bonus.

Such friendly and professional staff. Great vibe in the hotel with Rosa at Parks restaurant so lively with great music and lots of laughter. The restaurant/bar is a separate business from the hotel so reviewers who lower their rating due to music coming through to the lobby are being unfair. Room was quiet most of the time and is well appointed and had everything we needed. Reviews that drop their rating due to the area are also being unfair. It’s the Bronx! We walked everywhere and had no trouble at all. There is homelessness and people struggling in all areas of the city we visited but everyone just does their thing and gets on with life despite the current challenges. We had lots of help everywhere we went and nowhere more than here. Thanks!

Check in time a bit late

Our stay was very pleasant, the room was clean and had everything we needed during our trip. The hotel was well-equipped and the staff was really nice. The breakfast was great. It took us only 15-20mins to get to midtown Manhattan by subway.

Although we had no atrocities of any sort, the neighborhood looked a bit sketchy. Good thing that the subway was very close to the hotel. The window in our room could not be opened, only a tiny bit, it would’ve been great to air out the room if we could have. Breakfast would be even better if there were some kind of meat/cold cuts offered as well.

Despite the neighborhood being a little seedy, this hotel was comfortable, clean, convenient, affordable and boasted a really helpful, friendly staff. SO easy to get into Manhattan on the subway from a stop about a block-and-a-half away! The bed was a little soft for my taste, but others might like that. ~mp

As I mentioned, the neighborhood is somewhat shabby: poor, run down, a bit dirty, "gritty" in that NYC kind of way. It did not feel unsafe, it just looked unattractive. ~mp
