Beautiful hotel and setting. Great base if you want somewhere quiet and relaxing to stay. Staff were all really nice and attentive. The pool area is fabulous and the all inclusive drinks selection is actually really good! I’ve noticed a lot of confusion in some reviews regarding the pool area but we were able to use both sides without paying for any beds and used both the hotel (AI) bar and also the Puro Beach bar if we wanted some fancier cocktails (which we paid extra for). Rooms and hotel in general are super clean and good variety of options at breakfast/dinner. We booked the lowest grade room (as we knew we’d be out exploring most of our trip) and we had a lovely balcony with a beautiful sea view.

Extremely minor point but it seemed the majority of the Puro Beach sun beds were broken.

- location and free parking, - private pool, - decent selection at breakfast, - kind staff, - clean rooms, - privacy of each apartment, - lovely gardens, - mini fridge, - option for gluten-free bread, - early check-in and check-out + the cold breakfast. Additional details that could improve the stay: cutlery in the apartment with a small kitchen (kinda strange not having anything to eat/cut with), musquito nets (at least on the two windows by the bed).

- squeaky bed, - poor dinner selection (some days), - poorly marked allergens on food, - toilet took 5-10min to refill the water for flushing, - bugs and musquitos (missing musquito nets).

Staff were so very pleasant. Drinks were served in proper glasses. Entertainment at night great. Food had good choice. My favourite club was very good. Sea view fab. Comfy beds at pool with steps so height good. Bathroom at pool also. Snacks at pool bar nice. Air con in room very good. Balcony big. Shower excellent. Kettle abd coffee making facilitiesin the room. Early cold breakfast provided on departure. This was a trip with my mam and it was very safe and easy. 3 days was perfect 👌

The music at the pool was repeated and loud but it was quiet at the adults only pool. The phone in our room did not work and milk and drinks from mini bar not replaced. The cleaning was rushed each day. Nothing else around and there is no beach. There is access to the sea down a steps,/ladder

A beautifully situated hotel, with friendly staff and a great choice of food every day . We stayed in a sea view suite with its own plunge pool which was really spacious and well worth the minimal additional cost. We will certainly be returning in September.

Our rooms were spotless and the air con was excellent - it was 35 degrees but felt like 40 so walking into a cold room after swimming was essential. A very wide and diverse range of food was on offer - we had vegans in our party, we were delighted to find chia and flax seeds as well as a variety of smoothies at breakfast. Our carnivores were equally happy too with the range of food and really enjoyed the mediterranean diet. Compliments to the chef's at Alua Soul it was delicious. Loved the pool areas and the informality of the snack bar - again everything was spotless and the alua soul staff happy and helpful. I also thought the nod to Baleric music, with an afternoon DJ playing laid back baleric house was a nice touch (not a cheesy tune in sight thankfully) and what Hyatt was doing in terms of updating Alua Soul suited the incredibly laid back atmosphere of the S'algar resort, a place with a really wide range of clientele ages. If you think this is a new Ibiza, then think again, it isn't and nor should it be. The hotel itself (currently Alua Soul) has managed to keep its air of understated elegance, architecturally the building is a timeless classic, indeed S'algar was one of the first tourist resorts on Menorca and really is evocative of a by-gone era (I'm not including the St Louis Hotel in this!), the gardens are beautiful and well maintained. There is no night-life or beach, but rock platforms to bathe on set around a small harbour. To swim in the sea you enter right off the rocks, which we found excellent. This resort focusses on relaxation, health and water sports - the diving and snorkelling is excellent. There is an excellent wild swimming Cala close by and the beach at Alcafur is small but beautiful - all within walking distance.

It would be difficult to find fault on what was a truly excellent family holiday - oldest member of our party was 81 the youngest 16.

In general it was a really exceptional hotel.

If we wanted to stay in the chairs in front of the pool we had to pay.

My favourite swim up suite was a lovely room. Very private with your own plunge pool

WiFi was not good to the swim up rooms as they were across the road from the main building, which was a shame since these were the most expensive rooms, they really should invest in an extra router for these suites. All inclusive food wasn’t bad, it was just ok

The photos don’t do this place justice, it’s a lovely hotel with a spectacular pool area overlooking the sea. The palm trees in the pool area are a special touch and the beds are super comfortable.

The food was OK but maybe a little room for improvement. If you like fish, there’s always a white fish to choose. The paella was there every day for dinner.

Clean, fresh and spacious hotel. Quiet room overlooking garden very peaceful. Breakfast was amazing: quality and variety. Staff were professional, welcoming, friendly and well informed. Pool area fabulous!

I loved it all

The staff are amazing, we come back year after year. Food is great, heavenly location looking out to the sea. Love the fact the staff recognise you and look after you.

Hotel has now become a big chain and guests will now have to pay to lie by the lovely pool. The pool is amazing and well kept but to charge hotel guests crazy money is not good
