We had a great stay at Hotel Alpenhof in Saas-Almagell! From the very start, the communication was excellent. Since we were arriving late in the evening, I had a very nice conversation with someone from the hotel, who gave us clear instructions on where to find our keys. They also reassured us that if we needed anything, we could just let them know, even though the reception wouldn’t be open during our stay. The hotel itself is quiet, clean, and well-maintained, with a beautiful view and a convenient location close to everything. Our triple room was surprisingly spacious, providing plenty of comfort during our stay. Breakfast was decent, with unlimited coffee, and the staff serving us was incredibly kind and polite. For dinner, we went to Monte Moro, and it was a fantastic experience. The food was delicious, and we left absolutely full and satisfied. The waiters were extremely friendly and accommodating, making us feel very welcome. I even had the chance to meet the person I had spoken to before arriving, as he happened to be at the restaurant, and he greeted us warmly. Overall, it was a pleasant and hassle-free stay, and we truly appreciated the hospitality. Would definitely recommend!

We loved hotel Alpenhof the first time, so there was no doubt coming back here. We occupied room 304 this time. It’s a nice spatious room with big windows and a wonderful view, newly installed bathroom and a big balcony. The personell is still the same: friendly and capable. Breakfast choice was complete and great. There was a little doubt whether I should give this place a 10, because not often a hotel gets to feel so familiar.

The hotel is fully equiped with cosy chairs and corners. Looks as a fully functioning hotel. But at this moment it is more of a pension or B&B. I think they will have to make a choice what clients they want to serve in the future. They have a regular group of workers (long staying guests) now, occupying many rooms and dining there. Using diner at the hotel was no longer an option. For the ‘tourist client’ a table was reserved at the Mattmarkblick (250 m), which proved to be a fine alternative. Due to the absence of personell in the afternoon the drinking of wine and beer on the terrace after the long walks was no longer an habit.

This was my second time staying here and I chose it again on purpose. It is in an excellent location for skiing at Saas-Fee or Saas-Almagell. Everything is close by - we never needed to use the car the entire time. The temperature inside was always perfect. Breakfast was included and so was a pass for the bus.

Our queen-sized bed was two twin beds pushed together so there was a gap in between which wasn’t very comfortable.

I was a little disturbed to see the low scores of other guests before checking in, but the actual situation is very satisfactory, which completely exceeded my expectations. For the price in Switzerland, the room is clean, the breakfast is rich, the parking is convenient, the staff is friendly, what can I complain about? All I can say is that the off-season hotels are cheap, but that doesn't mean the hotels are low quality and cheap. I will stay again if given the chance.

If possible, please write the wifi password in the room.

Pluspunten · Unfortunately the whole family got sick on our trip to Switzerland. Apart from the huge dissapointment of not being able to enjoy our winter holiday, Jedrek and the other staff did everything they could to make us feel better and really took care of us. They even offered to walk our dog if we weren't able to do so ourselves and even though they were very busy still managed to smile after the 100th request from our side to make something (pancakes, porridge etc) for our little girl! Thanks a lot guys.

The hotel is in a great location, close to the lifts and downtown with restaurants. The rooms are spotlessly clean. The breakfasts were good, although somewhat repetitive. The sauna area is sufficient and in very good condition. The staff is polite and helpful

The rooms could be more soundproofed; at times, noises or pipes could be heard

1. Fantastic location surrounded by huge mountains, wandering trails, cable cars/ skiing lifts. 2. Very friendly and prompt staff offering excellent service and support. 3. Clean and tidy rooms, sauna facility in the basement.

The room & bathroom were small and with just very basic amenities. It would be great to have a couple of hooks to hang the jackets; a water cooker, a couple of plug sockets at the table, a drying stand in the balcony for clothes, to name a few.

Great location, free parking. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very good breakfast. Offered to put the sauna on for us but as we had just escaped 37 degrees in the Rhone valley we passed! Comfortable room with balcony overlooking the mountains.

No restaurant for dinner in the summer although lots of choice in the village within a few minutes walk. No bar.

Hospitable staff. Clean. Basic breakfast. Got free pass for elevators/gondolas in the valley which was a pleasant surprise. Parking right in front. Decent room size. Huge balcony with the view into the valley and mountains.

A bit dark in the bathroom. Lack of warm food for the breakfast (aka fried eggs...).

Due to some works in the hotel I was rebooked to another hotel close by (Monte Moro) with the same conditions. I was timely informed and the stay at Monte Moro was great. I highly appreciated the proactive communication and friendly service.
