Excellent value for money. Staff were really helpful - they facilitated late check in for us and provided us with a welcome drink. Our room was spacious and clean. The location is great - you can walk straight down the road to the beach. Also close to lots of cafes and restaurants. You can use the pool 24/7 which is fun. It's a very small hotel with only a few rooms, so it's always nice and chilled. It's also off the main street so super quiet, which is great as Canggu can be a bit hectic!

They organised a driver to bring us to our next destination. This driver brought us to a coffee plantation without being asked to. Locals advised us afterwards that this was a bit of a scam for tourists. It's possible this shouldn't be a direct reflection on the hotel however!

The property was in a very convenient location 5 min from the beach and close to everything that we wanted to go to. There were tons of shops and cafes around. The property itself was a very cute and beachy vibe. The room was very clean and spacious and the hotel provided us with everything that we needed. The staff was exceptional and greeted us everytime with such happy smiles and they went out of their way to help us with anything we needed. Upon arrival, they immediately took our bags for us and gave us welcome drinks. They also helped us with any questions we had. When we were checking out, we accidentally walked in while they were having a staff meeting and the owner was there. The owner was vey friendly and accommodating and took time to have a conversation with us. We overheard a little of their conversation from their team meeting and from what I could tell, the owner takes very good care of his staff. I highly recommend this stay and would definitely stay here again if I come back to Canggu

I absolutely loved my stay at Guru Hotel. The room was spotless, and the location couldn’t have been better—right in the heart of the action, with loads of great restaurants and local spots just steps away. As a solo female traveller, I really appreciated that the hotel only has six rooms. It felt safe, intimate, and personal without ever feeling isolated. I stayed in the ground floor room with direct access to the pool, which was both peaceful and incredibly convenient. Even though it was quiet, I never felt alone—the concierge was always just around the corner if I needed anything. It struck the perfect balance between privacy and a sense of being looked after. Highly recommend this gem of a place—I’ll definitely be back!

Everything! The whole place was really nicely done; there was some building work going on so I didn’t see everything but that was all kept out of the way and didn’t disturb! Pande, Tuwi, Nining and Arya were all so helpful, letting me know about any issues and when things would be resolved, ready and available for any questions I had and just happy cheerful people! The pool was lovely and a great way to relax! It was a lovely location :)

You could sometimes hear the nightclub in the evenings, but it wasn’t really that bad! And location wise, it can be a bit longer to get to places like La Brisa if you don’t like getting on a moped - the traffic for cars takes a bit longer, but it didn’t affect my stay, just was way quicker the one time I took a moped!

Arrived in Bali to find that our luggage had been lost on the previous flight, continuing into the next day with no luggage, we had no idea on where or when our cases would be dropped off. The hotel staff were straight onto it and they were in contact with the airport constantly. Finally 2 days into the holiday, our luggage arrived and I can’t thank enough of the three staff members enough for their continuous help, because without them we would of definitely not received our cases that quick. They went above and beyond to help us as much as they could always offering us coconuts and fresh towels and asking if we need anything The hotel is so nice, it’s not your 5 star hotel so don’t expect it to be so flash but it’s so nice and chilled. The bed is so comfy and rooms are basic but very tidy and clean. Close to all the bars and restaurants all walking distance It is noisy with the music from the beach clubs but you don’t expect to be quiet when coming to canngu. The music didn’t put us off whatsoever and we will definitely stay again when we return to Bali

Guru Canggu was a fantastic stay because of the beautiful ambience and serene atmosphere. It really did feel like an escape once you walked through their gates. The room was very clean and spacious. The decorations were well thought out. The bed was so comfortable. The staff were super friendly as they made my husband and I feel so welcome. We even tried out their Balinese massage and even had it in our rooms so it was more private. Well worth the price for what we paid for. We really hope to come back in the future!

The only thing to keep in mind about this place is that although it is relatively quiet, you may hear the bass and loud music at night from further away. But this is just a nitpick cause we prefer more peaceful spaces. It does die down around midnight.

The photos we saw to book reflected the inside of the room and the outside area perfectly, it was exactly as we expected. Room was super clean and cool with the air conditioner, a beautiful space to relax. The location is off the main road, so it was a peaceful place to come back and rest, but close to restaurants and shops. An 8 minute scooter ride to the beach. The staff were amazing. Very kind, happy to talk, and super accommodating for our late check in, took our luggage up and down the stairs and gave us tips for all kinds of activities and restaurants. We tried one of the restaurants (L’Osteria) and had a great night.

I loved that the staff was so sweet and professional! I got a text on WhatsApp every morning where they asked if I needed anything. I even got a free massage because they liked my energy :) The hotel is very secluded from all the noisy bars and clubs in Canggu, but close to all the best restaurants and cafes. The rooms were beautiful with that typical Bali style and they had a great driver who picked me up at the airport. I would definitely stay at Guru Canggu again!

There wasn’t enough toilet paper, but I could’ve asked for more of course if I needed. The safety box was also broken.

We loved our stay at the Guru Canggu! Especially due to the most wonderful staff, they were so so welcoming and helped us with any requests we had! They made our stay very enjoyable and fun. We would stay here again if we come back. It was a great vibe and great location. Don't hesitate to book this place!! :)
