Amazing places and the view very nice. I liked the rooms style more than the villas. The staff friendly and helpful. At night the place very quite.

I hope to put shading or something to cover the full area of the bath area to increase the privacy.

Beautiful resort with stunning gardens and a lovely infinity pool with an outlook across a little river at the tropical jungle. We were made to feel totally at home with the wonderful friendly and helpful staff, who were always attentive and ready to help. The room was beautifully appointed and comfortable, air conditioning kept temperatures comfortable. Our deal included breakfast which varied each day with freshly cooked options together with buffet. Highlight for us was the special banquet dinner that included a great spread of food and traditional music and dancers. Ketut, the restaurant and bar manager did a great job and he and his team made it a special occasion.

The layout of the resort is on a steep hillside which means there were a lot of stairs to negotiate, although there were generally also ramp options, so anyone less mobile might find that a challenge

This hotel offers some of the finest services in Bali. The rooms are gorgeous, spacious, and thoughtfully designed. Every need is met—and even exceeded—thanks to the outstanding service provided by the staff. The pool is stunning, creating a serene atmosphere that makes you feel immersed in nature, despite being just moments away from the heart of Ubud. Breakfast was exceptional, featuring delicious à la carte mains included in the rate, always offering fantastic options. The spa services were equally impressive. We had a massage in the spa villa, which turned out to be a truly unforgettable experience. Without a doubt, we will be returning on our next trip to Bali!

We had a wonderful stay at Pita Maha! From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. The staff was very welcoming and even gave us a tour during check-in, which made us feel right at home. Everything was spotless, and the attention to detail was impressive. Our suite had an amazing view, making the stay even more special. A nice surprise awaited us with complimentary drinks in the minibar and essence sticks placed on the bed, adding a thoughtful touch to the experience. Overall, we highly recommend Pita Maha for anyone looking for a relaxing and well-cared-for stay. We would definitely return!

Property is an expansive, lush garden setting. Really beautiful and close to Ubud center. They surprised us with an Anniversary greeting at check We got a pool villa and it was beautiful. Outdoor shower area with a beautiful rock wall. We did the B.B.Q. dinner show one evening and it was entertaining. Staff helped with transport for a fee. Staff are super friendly and remember your name. The breakfast was really good. There was some sort of poo on our front porch every morning which we found hilarious and was promptly cleaned when requested. Main pool is beautiful with great service and cold coconuts. Staff simply amazing.

Property is older and a bit musty. It rained heavily in late May, which compounded the wet feeling. Breakfast was great but other meals we took were basic and lacked flavor. Overall not up to 5* standard, but we enjoyed our stay.

Amazing location that is both walking distance from the city center yet nestled in a serene jungle canyon away from the noise. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They even helped us navigate a delicate situation with a nearby money changer. The spa treatments were relaxing and reinvigorating. The room was spacious, clean, and the balcony view of the lush jungle and rushing river was an amazing sight every morning. We came on our honeymoon, and had the most relaxing and romantic time here. Highly recommended for travelers seeking to avoid sterile luxury accommodations and find real Balinese beauty.

I had a truly unforgettable stay at Pita Maha Resort and Spa in Bali. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional, every member of the staff was incredibly warm, welcoming, and attentive. The villa was absolutely stunning, offering a perfect blend of comfort and nature. Surrounded by lush greenery and the soothing sound of the river, it was the ideal setting to relax and reconnect with nature. The massage at the spa was one of the best I’ve experienced, deeply relaxing and professionally delivered in a serene setting. The food was equally impressive, with high-quality ingredients and impeccable service throughout our stay. Every detail, from the ambiance to the hospitality, exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend Pita Maha to anyone looking for a peaceful and luxurious escape in the heart of Ubud.

Exceptionally landscaped & well maintained gardens, pool and facilities. Great customer service, very respectful & polite. Amazing location with expansive views of the rainforest & sounds of the river flowing. Views from all common areas are also stunning. The Hindu temple inside is a peaceful, quiet & green designed like heritage/historic Balinese temples and is a sanctuary perfect for meditation. The alleyways leading to the cute villas inside the property are like a small village. Easy access to busy/noisy Ubud but very peaceful inside the property.

The food is very bland/flavourless. Poor value for the premium prices they charge. Unfortunately, they seem to tone down the naturally flavourful Balinese cuisine, may be to suit the European palate. Please stick to authentic Balinese food. Alternatively, there are many food options just outside the resort, for e.g., we found Indian Delites to be great. Older customers might find going up/down within the property a bit of a strain.

This was our first time in Bali, and we were absolutely mesmerized by its nature, people, culture, and vibrant atmosphere—far beyond what we expected. Our stay at this hotel made our experience even more special. We loved spending time on our balcony overlooking the lush tropical forest, and the infinity pool was simply breathtaking—one of the most stunning views in the world, offering a sense of timeless serenity. The staff were incredibly warm, always smiling, and ready to assist with anything we needed. The rooms were spotless at all times, which we truly appreciated. The hotel is just 10 minutes from Ubud’s lively center, and the shuttle service made getting around effortless. It’s also in a perfect location to visit Ubud’s must-see attractions, such as temples, rice terraces, waterfalls, and the Monkey Forest. The hotel’s spa is on another level—an open-air sanctuary overlooking the forest, combined with highly skilled therapists, made for an unforgettable relaxation experience. Finding a place that brings together everything this hotel offers is truly rare in this region. A huge thank you to the entire team for making our holiday so memorable!

The landscaping and layout of the place was incredibly peaceful. Breakfast was amazing, the common pools are huge and have tons of room to spread out. I loved the vernacular architecture of my villa, you knew you were staying in Ubud and not just any hotel. I appreciated the different areas to relax and have meals. I had an amazing Balinese massage at the spa and could have fallen asleep afterwards. Know that this is a more rural environment and can feel like camping at moments; but I enjoyed that.

The screens had holes in them in the toilet room so bugs would come through pretty easily, could have been better renovated for the villa experience; they seemed kind of dated or needed repair. But that wouldn't keep me from booking a villa again. It looked like they were actively renovating villas while I was there (not that I could hear it though, just noticed roof repair the days I was there).
