Amora Boutique Ubud is an absolute gem. While it's a little removed from the centre of Ubud, that's precisely where its charm lies. It offers a truly serene and authentic Balinese experience that simply surpassed expectations. Getting into town- You can enjoy a stunning 20-minute walk via the Campuhan Ridge – highly recommended for the incredible views. If you prefer, a 30-minute taxi ride gets you there, as they navigate around the ridge. Either way, the journey is quite pleasant, and the taxis are very reasonably priced. The staff at Amora are genuinely amazing. They are so warm, personable, and attentive, truly going the extra mile to make your stay special. For my birthday, they made me feel incredibly celebrated, a gesture I deeply appreciated. Their genuine care creates a wonderfully relaxing atmosphere throughout the entire property. And the views! They are spectacular, offering a constant sense of peace and connection with nature. It's the perfect place to unwind and recharge. The hotel itself is a lovely place to eat, offering delicious options right on site. Beyond the hotel, there are also several nice places to eat near the hotel, providing even more choices for local cuisine. The breakfast is absolutely amazing, a fantastic spread to start your day. A practical note on transport: taxis need to be booked directly through the hotel. Ride-sharing apps like Grab are not permitted in that community, which is a great initiative as it ensures the income stays within the local area. The hotel's taxi drivers were all brilliant – incredibly knowledgeable about the region and eager to share insights into Balinese culture, making every ride an interesting learning experience. My only regret is not staying longer. I would have loved more time to explore the activities on offer and simply relax more. Amora Boutique Ubud is a place I would 100% stay again.

The hotel does provide mosquito coils and spray, which are helpful. However, my only suggestion for an even more comfortable stay would be the addition of mosquito nets over the beds. I don't see this as a negative at all on the hotel. More a suggestion and info for future guests. No lift, so for people with mobility issues may find it difficult as a few steps up and down. We didn't need to carry bags to and from rooms as this was all done for us. So that helped alot.

My stay at Amora Ubud Boutique Villas was absolutely perfect. The entire place is surrounded by nature, which makes it incredibly peaceful and relaxing. I woke up every day to the sound of birds and the view of lush greenery—it’s like a little paradise in the heart of Ubud. The villa was spotless, beautifully decorated, and looked exactly like the photos. The atmosphere is calm and serene, ideal for anyone looking to rest, recharge, and feel close to nature. The staff were outstanding—so friendly, helpful, and genuinely kind. They made me feel truly welcome from the very beginning. The breakfast was also a highlight: fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented every morning, with options for every taste. The location is great too—close to Ubud centre but still tucked away enough to feel private and quiet. I would 100% recommend Amora Ubud Boutique Villas and would love to come back one day. The houses are very cozy, and the atmosphere is great. The location is very scenic too, you can take a walk to Ubud centre which takes about 30 minutes. The staff was incredibly nice and helpful, the food was amazing! The chef has won a competition and is the number 3 best chef in Ubud! The public and the private pools were great! We also used the foot massage service and went on a morning walk, which we highly recommend. This has been the best hotel experience of my life! You really feel like in paradise while you are there!

The toilet could have been more private, but it didn't bother us.

Everything! We would stay again. It felt like a private boutique hotel whilst having everything you need. The staff were amazing, incredibly helpful. The restaurant whilst being small and private had such an array of food and all being delicious. Our villa with pool was perfect and cleverly designed - it felt more spacious than what it was. Amora is a short 15-20 min walk into the busy Ubud it was lovely to walk back along the ridge walk and feel like you were in a rainforest without the hustle. I would definitely recommend.

The private pool was the perfect retreat, allowing us to fully enjoy the beauty and serenity of the surrounding jungle. The staff’s attention to cleanliness was remarkable; they ensured our room was spotless, coming by two or even three times a day to tidy up and make everything perfect. Breakfasts were a highlight – rich, diverse, and delicious, providing the perfect start to a day full of exploring Bali. Evenings were just as magical. Dining at both of the resort’s restaurants was a delight, with every meal crafted to perfection. Little surprises from the staff, like a complimentary cocktail or dessert, added an extra touch of warmth and made the experience even more memorable. Although we had some minor issues with the internet in our room for 2-3 days, the staff worked tirelessly to fix it. Their hospitality shone through again when they offered us, as an apology, a complimentary hour of massage for both me and my wife. We hadn’t planned to try their spa, thinking we’d experience massages at the other resorts we’d visit, but it would’ve been such a shame if we hadn’t accepted this gift. The massage was unlike anything we’ve ever experienced – the soothing scent of lemongrass, the gentle breeze, and the calming sound of rain created a truly unique and relaxing atmosphere. I stayed at Amora Boutique Hotel for a week and absolutely loved it. It’s tucked away in such a quiet, serene spot—perfect for unwinding. It really felt like a true escape from everything. The staff were all so kind and welcoming, always checking in and making sure I was comfortable without ever being overbearing. They offer a 15 minute foot massage as complimentary treat—which was such a thoughtful touch. Please make time to use the spa for their other treatments too- quite possibly the best I’ve had in Bali! All of them were genuinely amazing. If you’re after somewhere low-key, elegant, and relaxing, this place is a gem.

The staff were welcoming, friendly and provided impeccable service. They couldn’t do enough for you! A true highlight of our stay. The food at the birdhill restaurant was great. Breakfast offered a huge variety (contrary to what other reviews say) - I appreciate that the fruit/pastry selection is repetitive, but there was more than enough choice for the main dish and we were impressed every day. We had lunch and dinner from the Indonesian selection, it was all very tasty and thoroughly enjoyable. We did not bother with the other french restaurant on site, we can eat french food whenever we want at home or visiting France! The room was beautiful, the bed was comfortable, and the view was fabulous. You are provided with essentials like bug spray and umbrellas should you forget your own. We did have some minor issues with wifi going down and hot water was disrupted, but these issues were resolved. The massage we had at the on site spa was very relaxing, much better than others we had at other spas in ubud. There is lots of steps as the property is on a hill. Unless you have mobility issues or are incredibly unfit, it really isn’t an issue. There is a lovely little restaurant on the same road as the property, walking towards the ridge walk, opposite the minimart. This had a much wider selection of Indonesian food and is worth a visit. The ridge walk down into ubud is a pleasant short walk, 10/15 minutes to the main road, then another 5/10 minutes to the centre. There is construction going on everywhere in Bali, we barely heard any whilst at the property and it did not disrupt our stay in any way.

Overall the resort was amazing! You have a beautiful view of the jungle. Location is good, it’s a 30min walk on the ridge with great views to the Ubud town centre. The staff is great, they are all really friendly and helpful, the service we received was exceptional! They really went above and beyond throughout our stay to make sure we had a great time there! We got a welcome drink on arrival and they also offer complimentary afternoon tea and foot massage. Food was great although we didn’t have breakfast there but we got packed lunch. They also offer many activities and extras for your stay which are perfect for a special occasion. The room/villa was big and spacious. We had a private pool which was great. One thing to keep in mind is that both private and main pool are quite deep 1.5m. We really enjoyed our time there and would definitely come back! Also you can see fireflies there!

There was construction noise but you get that everywhere these days in Bali. Because of that both our infinity pool and the main pool had a screen on the edge for our privacy. This wasn’t ideal as we chose it because of the infinity pool but it looked okay and we’re understanding. Also you cannot get a Grab from the hotel due to the local ‘taxi mafia’. I recommend arranging a taxi with the reception. Drop off was fine for us but sometimes they might want some cash as a fee for ‘entry to the village’.
