Basically everything outdoor is great - the view is great in the day... sunshine, rice fields, duck, lovely villa...indeed peaceful from the hustle and bustle. I arrived at 10 pm and when I went into the room, I wanted to cancaled the order but when I woke up in the morning, I was healed. - Great breakfast. Enjoyable when you have breakfast on the second floor with cool breathe and view

Basically facilities indoor is a bit disappointing - Hundreds of ants in the room at night, everywhere....even 1 or 2 on the flat sheet... I don't know why other reviews didn't mention this but for me this is the biggest issue - The villa is literally in the rice fields, which is good and bad. Do read the messages beforehand otherwise you can never reach the place with googlemap - Also be mindful that if pay by credit card, there is aditional charge so prepare enough cash

Without knowing it, we booked this villa which was in the middle of the rice fields but still very close to the center of Ubud (you need some peace after the chaos of the Main Street, trust me). The road to get there can only be driven by scooter which makes the road very special and romantic. There’s lots of cute restaurants and bars on the way, and from the villa you can also take a long walk through beautiful rice fields and beautiful scenery. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Breakfast is amazing with lots of options. Rooms are big with all the needed equipment. We also had a fully functioning outside kitchen, which is great bonus if you have to warm up your Indian leftovers 😅 We loved it! Super recommended.

Small thing, the Wifi signal and speed could be better. And the possibility to fill up water would be nice (less plastic bottles).

Amazing stay, highlight of my trip!! The owners are wonderful, the villa is beautiful, the rice fields surroundings, the tasty breakfasts that are included with smoothies and fresh fruit, cleaning service, water bottle et paper toilet refills, super friendly staff, pool and restaurant area with a view and super comfortable. If you want to be somewhere calm and peaceful this is the place for you! They even have the laundry service if you need ($), which was really helpful. Keep in mind that it’s a 15 mins walk from the main road so we did grab scooter rides to get to our villa but the view is worth it. They came to pick up us up with our bags at arrival and when we left. The owners are present and always there to help you. Loved my experience, will be recommending my friends and family as well.

A gorgeous place and location over looking the rice fields. The staff were exceptional. Breakfast was better than most of the local cafes and I could have it on the rooftop or at my room. Big comfy bed and huge bathroom… and the best shower! First one I’ve had in all my Bali stays that didn’t have a plumbing problem. There was a huge outside kitchen and eating area with a clean fridge and kitchen utensils. The room was serviced daily and my hosts Made & Wayan and their lovely staff made sure that I was well looked after.

My only comment is that Yoga Union who rent/own the building next door need to finish the outside of the building (or at least tidy it) as it a really ugly eyesore on the other side of rice field.

The location: it is very beautiful and peaceful where the property is located, but just a 15-minute walk, or a 5-minute motorbike ride on narrow paths that only allow motorbikes and pedestrians to the busy main road. There are plenty of good restaurants walking distance away, and great walking paths outside the property. The staff: so friendly and welcoming. The huge room and balcony: extremely clean, with a strong AC and a very comfortable bed. The breakfasts: big portions and very delicious.

If you want comfort, beautiful views, cleanliness, talented chefs to fix you up with delicious brekky, Balinese coffee, massage on the rooftop, with serene surroundings, I highly recommend this place. As 3 females exploring Ubud, first time in Bali, this place set the bar so high for us for our Bali travels. We are still dreaming about this place and would highly recommend this place.

Housekeeping was quite chill, make note to remind them to change the towels, and include sweeping if that's what you prefer. We did make this request ad hoc and they happily helped out.

I could not recommend Cahaya Ubud Villa more! The most gorgeous and tranquil stay and only a stones throw from the hustle and bustle of Ubud. Everybody is so friendly and welcoming & always on hand to help. Many mention the road to get there is difficult to navigate as it is not accessible by car. We had no issues at all as thanks to Dekno we requested the airport transfer service and he met us with our big suitcases and took them & us up to the property by bike, even very late at night! It made the whole process from the airport to check in so smooth and Dekno even arranged a car back to the airport for us when we requested it. The road that Cahaya Ubud Villa is down is also a lovely track surrounded by rice fields, small vendors and other accommodations and is a lovely stroll into the centre of ubud, taking about 15 minutes. Breakfast was SUPERB a great selection and very tasty served in the most gorgeous and relaxing lookout. The pool is stunning and we loved spending our mornings relaxing there. The rooms are comfortable and clean and we even spent an evening ordering food and watching the sunset from the balcony to round off our holiday. This was the highlight of our 3 weeks travelling and a true hidden Gem in Ubud.

Our stay here was lovely, everyone in this place is kind and welcoming. The room is very beautiful like all the surrounding panorama, in the greenery and sounds of nature. The breakfasts here are spectacular and delicious as well as the cleanlines of both the rooms and the environment arount lt. The property also offers the possibility of booking activity and massage service. If I come back here in the future, I will definitly come back to this place. The structure can only be reached by walking or by scooter, but this is absolutely not a bad thing, since wonderful structure will repair everything! For those arriving here with suitcases, don’t worry because the staff will take care of the transfer.

It was nice to be a good distance away from the busy part of Ubud. The short scooter/walk up the path to the rice terraces makes a huge difference with the level of the noise from downtown Ubud. The property is clean and inviting. I really enjoyed the pool and rooftop eating area.

The property is great, the surrounding properties are not so great. One thing I would like to mention is that in my villa, there seems to be a sewer gas leak coming from the bathroom. When you sleep there you awake in the morning smelling sewer gases. My guess is the toilet doesn’t have a proper seal or maybe the piping in the shower is allowing gases in.

Location was beautiful, so peaceful in the rice paddies away from the rat race that is town Ubud. Rooms big, clean and lovely. Included breakfast was spectacular, heaps of food and delicious. Staff were gorgeous - always friendly and obliging. A stroll from downtown Ubud, but the walking path can get busy with motorcycles. Not accessible by car which we loved.

While not a deal breaker, I think the room we needed a couple of inside chairs and drinking glasses. Maybe the big water unit to fill up personal drinking bottles. I believe anything possible should be done to cut down on giving out plastic bottles (we got 3 a day provided and Ubud, like the rest of Bali, definitely needs to do something about waste and plastic disposal).
