The villa was absolutely lovely with its own private pool and a peaceful atmosphere. Each morning we sat and watched the rice fields being worked—such a calming and authentic experience. It’s only a 5–7 minute walk from the busy centre of Ubud, but once you’re back at the villa, it feels like another world. The staff were wonderful—so friendly and helpful—and breakfast was very good each day.

There’s nothing we didn’t like, but it’s worth being aware that access to the villa from the main road isn’t ideal if you have large suitcases. We’re travelling for 6 weeks with two cases, but the staff met us at the road with scooters, including one with a trailer for the luggage. We already knew about this, and the whole process was seamless.

My stay at Hotel Lasamana was absolutely exceptional. From the moment I arrived, I could feel the attention to detail and warm hospitality. The room was spotless, beautifully scented, and tastefully decorated – the perfect place to unwind after a long day. The hotel staff deserves special praise – they were kind, professional, and always ready to help. I genuinely felt that they cared about my comfort. Every request I made was met with a smile and great care. The breakfast was delicious, varied, and thoughtfully prepared. The location is also ideal – peaceful, yet conveniently close to all the main attractions. I highly recommend Lasamana to anyone looking for a place with character, high standards, and genuinely welcoming service.

Our stay at Lasamana Villas was fabulous from start to finish. It is located 1km from the centre of Ubud up in the rice fields, away from the hustle and bustle. Our villa was exceptionally well appointed with a private pool and views of water lily’s and the rice fields. The accommodation has its own little restaurant and the food was great. Breakfasts were excellent. The best part though are how wonderful the staff are. They look after you so well, from takings us up and down to the village on their bikes to adjust our food to taste. We will definitely return and would highly recommend Lasamana.

My partner & I stayed in Lasamana villas recently and absolutely loved how hospitable & caring all the staff were towards us, every need or request we had was always taken care of & they always made sure that we were okay or asked if we needed anything all throughout the day. Putu, gede, purnama, komang & arta, were all amazing people and their level of professionalism is outstanding, including making sure our room was spotless every day, cooking us an amazing breakfast & organising tours for us so we could enough the trip without having to worry about everything! We were even talking about returning here & out future plans to come back before we had even left, thank you so mcuh!

Everything was perfect, in saying that you will find the location may be not as accessible for all people, it is a 15 minute walk with some incline from the main strip. It is very easy to get to, including staff always offering to drive us to & from the villa, which was amazing! So, while the location is a bit of a walk, you will find that there are ways of getting to the villa.

Great location. Set in an area of rice paddies and other guesthouses so lovely and quiet, but only 10 mins on foot to central Ubud. Beautiful little studio villa with a private outdoor space and small pool. Clean and comfortable with huge comfy bed. At night it feels like you’re in the middle of the forest with lots of insect and frog noises - we had the best nights sleep here 🥰The staff are all lovely, nothing is too much trouble. Booked with 60% discount so felt an absolute bargain. Be aware the property is foot and bike access only. The staff are always available to transport you and also baggage; they even very kindly did it for us at 5.30 the day we left! We loved that it felt a bit out of the way even though so central, but might not suit everyone.

Total nitpicking here, but a moderate smell of something like mothballs in the room, unsure whether this is a cleaning product or insect repellent? Can still smell on our clothes even now we are home! Would be great to have a water dispenser on-site for refilling bottles :)

We absolutely loved our stay at Lasamana. We chose this place because of the reviews and booking.com and could not have been happier. The location is simply beautiful, just far enough away from the Ubud madness but close enough to walk to restaurants and bars. We loved the room and private plunge pool. The staff were wonderful, helpful and friendly. They particularly helped us on our last day when we had problems communicating with our pre-booked taxi. We stayed 8 nights which was the perfect amount of time for us. We did see a lot of couples zooming in for 1-2 night stays. If you can stay longer I would recommend it. Getting to Ubud is hassle with all of the traffic etc, so I personally think you need to make it worth you while and take time to soak up the place. We would 100% stay here again. They are in the process of building 2 x more villas which I think will be a little larger - but our studio villa size was perfectly fine for us.

Best place we have ever stayed. Me and my girlfriend have been on many holidays and we were nervous about accommodation in ubud as some were hit and miss. I can honestly say this is the best place we have ever stayed at and if you’re unsure about where to stay I wouldn’t even look anywhere else. Just choose here you won’t be disappointed. Staff were amazing, breakfast was amazing, rooms were cleaned daily and got the best nights sleep to get over the jet lag. Cannot recommend Lasamana Villas enough.

The property itself is beautiful. Beds are comfortable, villa was very clean upon arrival. Staff was friendly. They offer an afternoon tea / coffee, which is a nice touch. Really good wifi

Breakfast definitely has to be improved. Food had no taste Villa is not accessible by car, so you would have to take a scooter ride offered by the hotel each time you want to leave and don’t want to walk (about 10-15 min walk to Ubud central parking and then depends on where you go). This was also not mentioned prior to booking

It was the best accommodation we had during our holidays in Indonesia! We loved this beautiful villa! It was so relaxing to sit outside, enjoy the view over the rice fields, have delicious breakfast, watch the stars. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. They would always bring us with the scooters to the centre of Ubud and back and would help us with anything we needed. We definitely recommend the Lasamana Villas if you're staying in Ubud.

Only minor things that did not influence much our stay: it is a bit bright in the villa in the morning and you can sometimes hear the neighbours.

Great location, only a short drive or even walk from the centre, but still in a peaceful beautiful rice field which felt a million miles away from the craziness, it was so lovely to come back to. The Villa itself is a dream, perfectly romantic and cleaned every day for us. The staff and management… just wow! Mr Putu and his team did everything they could to ensure we had a wonderful stay. From providing fresh coconuts (which were picked from trees by our private pool), to pick ups and drop offs into town, Mr Putu arranging a scooter for us to rent for our stay, and giving suggestions and arrangements for activities, just everything was so perfect. We would just like to thank Mr Putu and his beautifully friendly team for always welcoming us with a wide smile and lovely words, whether it was 8am or midnight! Thank you so much guys!
