This place is really a dream place. Made with fantasy. Something special right in the rice fields at a very quiet location but still close enough to Ubud (1.5 km). They have a steam bath "Hamam" and restaurant overlooking the rice fields.

The place is loved by Yoga people which makes it sometimes a bit "strange". Guests are a bit "special" but nice and friendly. You need to know the place can't be reached by car/taxi but only by 1km walking or motorbike through the rice fields. It is nice, but can be a bit exhausting after having had a night in the bar in Ubud. The restaurant closes at 21:00. They don't serve any alcohol and only vegetarian food. No air con in the room, no fridge. THIS IS ALL OK and can be accepted, but better know before and not be irritated. Again: i loved this very special place.

My stay at Dragonfly Village was truly magical! I arrived just in time for sunset and was warmly welcomed with a motorbike ride down the village road. Check-in came with a refreshing welcome drink—just before the sauna opened, allowing me to relax and enjoy both the pool and fireplace, accompanied by warm tea. That first evening set the tone—I met incredible people who made my time in Ubud unforgettable. There are only a few places like Dragonfly Village that naturally support such meaningful connections and magical moments. The staff was kind and attentive, the gluten-free veggie pizza was delicious, and the breakfast was just right. Tucked away from the noise, the location is peaceful, with stunning gardens and a vibe that invites presence. The entire experience was wonderful—and I’ll definitely be back!

There is nothing to point out. I liked everything! Maybe if there is a buffet type of breakfast that would be more in tune with the prices.

This place is dreamy! Exactly how you imagine ubud. If you want to actually experience Ubud the way you imagine it, stay somewhere like here. A bit more logistics, but on my favourite walking route in ubud, still walkable to town and easy grab ride. They can still pick you up at door on the little path. Lots of cute cafes to eat and watch sunsets nearby. The breakfasts were awesome, they did my laundry and the sauna experience there included is divine! Don’t miss that!

Only thing to flag since you are staying in the rice paddy is to be aware it’s more of a nature experience. I didn’t have a problem with mosquitoes but you could. But did get a big gecko in my room. So you need to be comfortable almost like clamping to deal with a bit more nature. The no air conditioning wasn’t a problem though. Lots of fans and evenings are cooler in ubud so found it very comfortable sleeping

This was our second stay at Dragonfly Village as a family of six, and once again, it was an exceptional experience. The location strikes the perfect balance between seclusion and accessibility – just a 15-minute walk from Ubud’s buzzing city center, yet tucked away enough to feel like a private escape. Along the scenic pathway, you’ll find charming restaurants, small cafes, massage and yoga centers, and local shops that add to the authenticity of the experience. The accommodations are simple yet spacious, blending traditional Balinese style with comfort. Our two teenage daughters and 10-year-old twin boys had ample space to relax, and the tranquil surroundings made for a perfect family retreat. The resort is beautifully maintained, with a pool and a herbal sauna that provided a refreshing way to unwind after exploring the area. What truly sets Dragonfly Village apart is its commitment to sustainability. The vegan-only menu was a highlight of our stay, offering fresh, delicious meals that even our kids couldn’t get enough of—breakfast quickly became their favorite! The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Their warm hospitality added a personal touch to the entire experience. The houses and all surroundings were excellent. It is certainly a special place, close to central tourist locations, but looks like countryside between the rice fields. Lot's of yoga places and only foot and bike traffic admiring rice fields and countless cute cafes and restaurants. We liked the rustic room and bathroom. Despite of fan the room was perfect to sleep in. The staff was very nice and helpful. Organized car to airport.

Booking description do not inform that herbal sauna and stram room operates only 3 on evenings of the week (currently Mon, Wed and Sat). Chose the place beacause of the cute rustic houses and area, but herbal sauna and steam room was the reason why eventually booked there, but eventually found out that if only one night booking, not able to experience it if happeb to book for wrong day.

The location is stunning. We loved the breakfast (including decent coffee) and they catered extremely well for my coeliac son. The gluten free and vegan options are excellent for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The gf pizza was a total hit! It was rainy throughout our stay but we each got an umbrella. The pool was a nice feature and the sauna (though we didn’t try it, it was popular!)

The openness of the place is a nice feature but does mean you have to seal all food items tightly to prevent small midnight visitors!

The accommodation is very cosy and invites you to completely slow down. It's a long time ago I have been sleeping soo well. The bed is cozy and the silence, except the wonderful noise of the nature, is incredible. The Staff is super friendly and supports you with everything you need!!! I got Umbrella, Sarong to borrow,...a very short notice pick up from town..... wonderful Service!!! Food is amazing, even as "non-vegetarian" I enjoyed the tasty food so much! Location is great, just a couple of minutes walk and you are in the busy centre of Ubud.

We recomment dragonfly village to everyone! We stayed a week in dragonfly Village with our family and enjoyed every day of it! Our cottage had a lot of privacy, in the middle of the ricefields. We loved the breakfast and lunch/dinner! Every day we ate at least lunch or dinner at dragonfly! Very healthy food and very tastful and a good price! Its located 700m from the city center, but very quiet! And on one of the most beautiful paths of Ubud! We enjoyed the sauna very much and yoga is only 5 min away (recomment to go to “Body-mind soul Bali” for an authentic experience). They laundry service is good and also the scooter hire went well.

This place was such an incredible experience away from the chaos of Ubud. The staff were so helpful and the herbal sauna and campfire were so nice. The breakfast was great. We saw fireflies at night around our cabin and plenty of places to eat locally. Beautiful place.

Unavoidable but the walk from the road was a bit scary with all the motorbikes. The stay was a little wilder than we expected after a long journey but after a sleep this is what I liked most about the stay.

I loved the privacy and tranquillity of the bungalow. It was like glamping, with a private garden. The mosquito nets work well and I felt very cosy and comfy. The silent sauna was great for a detox. Enjoyed a pleasant swim in the pool with lovely surroundings. The motorcycle ride to get there was scenic and fun. The setting is very pretty with lovely gardens.

I was unable to shower in the bungalow (there was a public shower to rinse near the pool and sauna) before bed due to lack of light in the shower area.
