This place is really a dream place. Made with fantasy. Something special right in the rice fields at a very quiet location but still close enough to Ubud (1.5 km). They have a steam bath "Hamam" and restaurant overlooking the rice fields.

The place is loved by Yoga people which makes it sometimes a bit "strange". Guests are a bit "special" but nice and friendly. You need to know the place can't be reached by car/taxi but only by 1km walking or motorbike through the rice fields. It is nice, but can be a bit exhausting after having had a night in the bar in Ubud. The restaurant closes at 21:00. They don't serve any alcohol and only vegetarian food. No air con in the room, no fridge. THIS IS ALL OK and can be accepted, but better know before and not be irritated. Again: i loved this very special place.

This was our second stay at Dragonfly Village as a family of six, and once again, it was an exceptional experience. The location strikes the perfect balance between seclusion and accessibility – just a 15-minute walk from Ubud’s buzzing city center, yet tucked away enough to feel like a private escape. Along the scenic pathway, you’ll find charming restaurants, small cafes, massage and yoga centers, and local shops that add to the authenticity of the experience. The accommodations are simple yet spacious, blending traditional Balinese style with comfort. Our two teenage daughters and 10-year-old twin boys had ample space to relax, and the tranquil surroundings made for a perfect family retreat. The resort is beautifully maintained, with a pool and a herbal sauna that provided a refreshing way to unwind after exploring the area. What truly sets Dragonfly Village apart is its commitment to sustainability. The vegan-only menu was a highlight of our stay, offering fresh, delicious meals that even our kids couldn’t get enough of—breakfast quickly became their favorite! The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Their warm hospitality added a personal touch to the entire experience. We recomment dragonfly village to everyone! We stayed a week in dragonfly Village with our family and enjoyed every day of it! Our cottage had a lot of privacy, in the middle of the ricefields. We loved the breakfast and lunch/dinner! Every day we ate at least lunch or dinner at dragonfly! Very healthy food and very tastful and a good price! Its located 700m from the city center, but very quiet! And on one of the most beautiful paths of Ubud! We enjoyed the sauna very much and yoga is only 5 min away (recomment to go to “Body-mind soul Bali” for an authentic experience). They laundry service is good and also the scooter hire went well.

The accommodation is very cosy and invites you to completely slow down. It's a long time ago I have been sleeping soo well. The bed is cozy and the silence, except the wonderful noise of the nature, is incredible. The Staff is super friendly and supports you with everything you need!!! I got Umbrella, Sarong to borrow,...a very short notice pick up from town..... wonderful Service!!! Food is amazing, even as "non-vegetarian" I enjoyed the tasty food so much! Location is great, just a couple of minutes walk and you are in the busy centre of Ubud.

Nothing to complain at ALL!

I loved the privacy and tranquillity of the bungalow. It was like glamping, with a private garden. The mosquito nets work well and I felt very cosy and comfy. The silent sauna was great for a detox. Enjoyed a pleasant swim in the pool with lovely surroundings. The motorcycle ride to get there was scenic and fun. The setting is very pretty with lovely gardens.

I was unable to shower in the bungalow (there was a public shower to rinse near the pool and sauna) before bed due to lack of light in the shower area.

Beautiful and peaceful place far enough from the busy streets of Ubud. You will sleep like a baby there - at least until the Kundalini Yoga class starts next door but they don’t start too early. It’s a 10 minutes walk to downtown through rice fields and you can also take a motorcycle taxi (download the app Grab, similar to Uber) . The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. They will transport your bags to the main street, no worries. Ubud is very noisy and crowded, you will be happy to get away from it. if you want to have a drink in the evening buy yourself a beer as the hotel doesn’t do alcohol but they also do next door.

Not much to say, we loved it

The hotel is very very well located - only some foot steps away from the main road in Ubud, but on the same time in the middle of rice fields. Next to the hotel are many beautiful warungs where you can enjoy really good Balinese cooking. The staff was welcoming, friendly and always willing to realize our wishes, e.g. for organizing a transfer. We liked the huts and the big pool very much. The sauna was a quite relaxing place at the end of the day. Breakfast was excellent. We can highly recommend and would always go there again when being in Ubud.

It's a beautiful place with beautifully kind people. The garden is beautiful. The bungalow room is magnificent. It's like being in an adventure film, the sauna experience is sublime. The location of the establishment away from the hustle and bustle of the city is wonderful because you pass trough the rice paddies, and that alone is worth the diversions if I ever go back and if i'm lucky enough to get a return visit, I'll be sure to return.

friendly warning that many insects (including cockroaches) can come into the room as it's very natural and open (there are fly screens/mosquito net on the bed though)

Everything was excellent for someone who wants to get away and relax unfortunately my cousin and I were celebrating her birthday wanted a bit more social atmosphere! The motor bike drivers were friendly and caring drivers. Breakfast was good. Imro on reception was very very good and helped me change my dates and refund. Thank you imro 😀

The website should have emphasised that there was no alcohol served in the restaurant and no fridge in the room.
