Staff are super friendly and always ready to assist. They cleaned the room every day so as the swimming pool. They have their own restaurant on the premises, which is convenient if you don't want to walk back again in Ubud centre. Cars aren't accessible to the hotel as its in the middle of the ricefield, although gojek or motorcycles are okay, but that's the beauty of this area,you can enjoy a very relaxing walk. Ubud Centre, Campuhan Ridge Walk, Blanco Museum, Ubud Palace are just 10 to 15 minutes by walking.

The swimming pool area needs improvement. It has no fixed fences. Breakfast is included in my room rate, but they don't have variety to choose from apart from pancakes, fruits or juices.

AMAZING! We loved our stay. It’s a very peaceful villa with just a few rooms in the middle of rice fields, very close to Ubud city center (can be reached by foot). The room was quite spacious, as well as the bathroom, and clean. Breakfast was nice, simple and just what you need to start the day. Candra and the rest of the staff are super nice and kind. I would definitely book this place again! Super recommended.

Absolutely nothing! Just be aware that the bathroom has an open roof so there might be insects. This wasn’t a problem at all for us, but some people might find it uncomfortable.

The atmosphere is warm, friendly, and truly welcoming. The staff are incredibly kind—we really loved our stay thanks to them. We stayed for 9 nights and felt right at home. The location is lively and set in the charming ricefields area. Our room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The food here is delicious—breakfast is generous and tasty, and you can also enjoy lunch or dinner, which are equally amazing. Plus, there are two great yoga studios just a minute’s walk away. Overall, it’s a great base for exploring the center and sights of Ubud, enjoying the local culture and cuisine, connecting with nature, and relaxing.

The location has its pros and cons. Since the guesthouse is only accessible by a narrow footpath, it’s not reachable by car—you’ll need to walk about 10 minutes. That said, the walk is quite pleasant, with lots of charming cafés and restaurants along the way. Also, the staff brings your luggage.

I had an absolutely unreal experience staying at Ubud Shanti Rice Field House. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with warmth and genuine hospitality. The host went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and memorable. The location is perfect—close enough to the city center to explore easily but just far enough to enjoy the serene tranquility of the rice fields. Waking up to the view was magical. The breakfast was delightful, with fresh fruits and juice that were a perfect start to the day. The swimming pool was an oasis, providing a refreshing escape after exploring Ubud. This place is a true gem, blending convenience with a peaceful atmosphere. I can’t recommend it enough and will definitely return when I’m in Ubud again!

Everything was perfect

Very nice hotel slightly outside Ubud in the middle of the rice field. Spacious, clean and well decorated rooms. Great breakfast (pineapple juice was amazing) and good food (Grab local legend).

Hotel accessible only by feet or scooter. 800m manageable but very annoying due to the constant flow of scooters on the narrow way. Breakfast is not served before 8AM and staff not willing to anticipate even by 15 minutes to accommodate an early pick-up. They proposed us multiple time a web site to book tours around Ubud but did not help facilitating the discussion with their partner which was not responding. We finally managed our way with a different partner.

Lovely accommodation set amongst rice paddies accessible via a wide scooter path only. The staff were really lovely, breakfast choices outstanding, and the fact there is a restaurant on site made life very easy after long days. To access the property, you just whatsapp the team and they come down and collect all of your luggage on their scooters. They offered lifting us but I was happy to walk. We hired scooters and were also fine to walk so I found this location perfect. Beautiful surroundings, plenty of yoga options. Big clean rooms with water provided. Would absolutely stay here again.

I don't have any suggestions. This was great value for money and I'm pleased we chose to stay here.

Loved everything , from the moment we arrived until the end of our stay. We arrived late at night, we were welcomed like family , the room was fabulous, super clean , toiletries provided, AC and fan worked well . Bed was very comfortable and bathroom more than adequate . Breakfast was beautiful and delicious , choices including Indonesian, Balinese and English . Plus fresh coconut juice served in the coconut and fruit platters . But the most outstanding factor are the staff, genuine, professional and always smiling , made us feel so welcome, nothing was too much trouble . We arrived with super heavy suitcases and we were assisted immediately . The property is five minutes walk from the main road ,so assistance is offered as standard especially if you have heavy luggage/ any disability , you will be whisked up to your little bit of paradise by scooter , I have an ankle injury and was a little hesitant , but Alex is wonderful and made me feel so safe . We only stayed three days, in that time we took advantage of the in room massage therapy and also the market visit with cookery half day . We then went on to join a cruise, but we’re not excited to leave, this beautiful residence was very exotic and gorgeous . Thank you to the beautiful staff Candra, her dear family and Alex.

Everything was perfect! The staff were so friendly and helpful. They helped get us from the main street on their scooters and when we left as well. The rooms were immaculate and had comfortable beds and hot showers. The porch beds were so nice to lounge on and overlooked the pool and rice fields. This place also has a restaurant which was super nice to have. It was also easy to take a Grab motorcycle directly to the property.

Everything was perfect. The only area of improvement is adding more variety to the breakfast options at the restaurant, however we were grateful for having breakfast included.

Excellent location on a quaint (but busy) path accessible only by foot or motorbike. Hotel staff are super helpful and friendly. They will meet you at the main road on scooters and take you and your bags to the hotel. You can continue on the path past the hotel and you will find beautiful rice fields with little cafes and art shops dotted along the way. Only a 10-15 walk to the main market and the heart of Ubud with loads of excellent restaurants nearby. The restaurant at the hotel has fabulous food and we ate there several times. The room was very clean, spacious and had excellent air conditioning. Staff was helpful in arranging comfortable and reliable transportation to our next location. If coming back to Ubud we would definitely stay here again.

Shower pressure was a little low at times and the bed is very firm but was not uncomfortable. The path from the road to the hotel is narrow in places and can be busy at times with lots of scooters and pedestrians going back and forth but it wasn’t problem for us.

Lovely really friendly small hotel. We had a room on the top floor with a private balcony and my partner and I both said the two rooms on the top floor are definitely the best as they feel so much more private. Candra and the team were very friendly & the room had everything we needed. It’s set back off the main road and not accessible by car but they meet you on the main road with motorbikes to help with luggage and take you up to the hotel. We said it offered the best of both worlds as you’re surrounded by beautiful rice fields but just a short (about 15 minute) walk down the path and you’re on the main road with lots of bars/restaurants and shops. Would definitely stay again. We also walked to Monkey Forest, took about 50 minutes but lots of people walk in Ubud and we enjoy walking but you can easily get a taxi or bike.
