Bliss Ubud Abangan This hotel in located just over the road from Temple and up a steep incline and a 200m walk from the road. We stayed late October 2024. On entering, you are met by the sound of falling water from the fountain into the pool and a small pool courtyard with reception set to one side. The rooms (ours was 4) all appear to be a similar layout with a large sleeping/dressing area and very big bathroom with bath, shower cubicle and wash facilities in a clean, well presented appearance. We had no issues with the room at all, air-con and ceiling fan all worked just fine, small bottle of water provided each day and the breakfast, served on the balcony, was good and filling way to start the day. The range of choice for breakfast a tad limited but everyone we had (and we tried them all) were perfectly edible and btw, the coffee is great but if you need it, ask for milk. No English breakfast tea, so carry your own and add to the boiling water. TV in the room with satellite connection, good WiFi and tea making facilities (a kettle, teabags and coffee). The pool was really refreshing after a day out sightseeing and travelling or just exploring Ubud. I did enjoy the dip in the infinity pool. The Staff Are are super helpful and so, so courteous and respectful to you, it is easy to allow them to do everything for you. Just show them the same respect in return. We utilised the hotel driver for two day tours which although documented where you go and what you see, can actually be customised in co-ordination with the driver, Wayan, who was very accommodating and responsive to requests to alter the itinerary to suit. The cost was reasonable too, 1.8mr for three days including return transfer to airport with sightseeing on day 3. We went to the sister hotel at Bliss Ubud for a massage. They send a golf buggy to pick you up and take you the 10 minute journey to the hotel.

All good at the property, clean, friendly staff and a cooling pool

Staff were fantastic 10/10!! Super helpful and had loads of advice on the area and lots of recommendations. Location is spot on - everywhere is easily accessible! Breakfast on the balcony was an absolute treat each morning!

Location was hard to find as we were in the dark - cars can’t travel up to it due to narrow roads but once you find it you realise how perfect of a location it is!

I don’t even know where to begin — this hotel is absolutely heavenly! I initially booked for one night but ended up staying for a whole week because I simply couldn’t bring myself to leave. The room was magnificent, with a stunning view that I enjoyed every single day. The bathroom was pure bliss; I took long baths daily, completely indulging in the comfort of this place. The hotel manager is truly the best in the world, always responding quickly and helpfully to any questions I had. The breakfasts were delightful, with healthy options that made my mornings even better, and they were delivered right to my room — such a lovely touch! I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely return as soon as I can. It was an unforgettable experience, and I’m already looking forward to coming back!

Everything was great! i arrived early and my room was ready so I could move in 4 hours before the official check in time and i received a complimentary coffee as well! I really enjoyed my stay a lot and can highly recommend this lovely place! The area is really quiet but close to all you could need. check out the nice warungs following the footpath to the left when leaving the property, great food and nice atmosphere there as well.

We had a wonderful time in Bliss Ubud Abangan, staff very friendly and helpful, had amazing breakfast on our balcony ( vegan with avocado toast, indonesian with nasi goreng and continental/american with pancake or diff. eggs etc.) that you can order the evening before or when you wake up (from 7-10). Iphone map shows the place right, when you reach Lazy cats cafe and The Phaon, there will be a steep road, go about 20 meters and take the first alley to the left (by foot) . You pass Indahome, Soka and there will be the Bliss Abangan’s gate in a minute. First it sounds tricky (especially at night) but daytime you can’t miss it. Pool is perfect for a refresh after a day of walking (for it is cool, not for all day soaking) . Sunbeds (4) are just enough for this quick brake. We had room no6 and no4 on level 1 and 2, both facing the rice fields. Had no problem with bugs. Big bed, nice balcony, aircon great, bathroom with the bathtub is a perfection. If you are a bad sleeper bring eyemask for the curtain is not total blackout. The area is quiet yet close to everything. We had wonderful days in Ubud thanks to Bliss Abangan.

Everything was fantastic

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The location was absolutely perfect—just a short walk to the Ubud Art Market and surrounded by plenty of great restaurants and cafes. The room was very spacious and included a lovely outdoor area where I could enjoy my breakfast each morning. Breakfast was included in the price and offered a great variety, from American to Indonesian options and more, catering to different tastes. The room was well-equipped with a TV, mini fridge, and a bathroom stocked with all the necessary amenities, including a hair dryer, which was very convenient. The staff were genuinely wonderful—friendly, accommodating, and always ready to help. Their warm hospitality truly enhanced my stay. I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Ubud!

Small, intimate hotel in a great location, only a 10 minute walk into the centre of Ubud. It’s close enough to the main hub, but far enough away to be quiet and peaceful. It’s a 10 minute walk to Ubud Palace, Ubud Water Palace and there are plenty of restaurants in walking distance too. The Pura Dalem temple is also right opposite the street the hotel is on, they do the traditional Balinese fire dancing there which is recommend seeing. The staff are so friendly and will go out of their way to help you. Breakfast is included and there are a few set menus to choose from, you can either order the night before at your chosen time from reception or call in the morning half an hour before you want your breakfast, it’s then brought straight to your balcony! The breakfast was fantastic, a nice mix of fresh fruit, eggs, avocado, toast, croissants, jams and a smoothies depending on what you choose.

There’s not much to dislike about this hotel! My only thing would be to highlight that the balcony doors aren’t totally sealed, which may mean unwanted bugs find their way into your room. I’d recommend not leaving any open food or drink in the room. There is also a spa at their sister hotel which is a 10-15 minute ride around the corner. Unfortunately I had an allergic reaction to their facial, as the therapist didn’t speak great English I couldn’t work out what the products are. Would recommend checking all products used if you’re going to get any treatments there. The hotel is also down a small windy street off the main road, so you can’t get a taxi down there, only a motorbike, which can be difficult if you have lots of luggage.

Beautiful boutique hotel, very comfortable accommodation in a lovely location. There is no access via car, but it is a very short easy walk, and easy enough to do even with a suitcase so it really didn’t hinder our stay

There are small gaps in the sliding doors which make the room susceptible to some unwanted guests. We closed these up at night by stuffing towels in. But we did get a large bee in one evening and some geckos from time to time. Nothings n else though so that’s a plus. It really didn’t bother us. But if you are someone who’s nervous of bugs, it’s something to consider.

Walking distance to ubud center, staff were polite and it was quiet despite being near to a lot of shops. Bed was comfortable and shower water was hot. Breakfast was served in our balcony (which we had to choose from a menu the day before). They also kindly gave us a breakfast box at 3am before we headed out to mount batur. Overall, a good stay.

We had an issue with the shower which caused the water to overflow but the staff rectified it once informed. Cleanliness of the room could be improved more and a waste paper basket in the room would be appreciated. There is no direct access to the place via car. Both our drivers got lost and its bit of a walking distance on foot which may make luggage carrying difficult. Luckily the staff helped us with that but probably call the place beforehand to inform that you'll be arriving soon.

Beautifully created hotel, the service at the hotel is excellent and the rooms are clean and also cleaned well everyday. Room service for food is also good and well priced. Breakfast is served on the room Balcony.

The access to the hotel is through a street which is like an alley way and the floor of the street is full of pot holes. Despite the staff willing to help with luggage, it was still difficult to use a baby stroller and coming back at night time it was dark in the street. Also have to come down the stairs with luggage and baby stroller and back up which is not ideal. The breakfast options for vegetarians could be better.
