We never received a breakfast! They had coffee & hot water, but I was not aware that there was a restaurant or a breakfast available.

The location is a little out of the way. But it is walking distance - about 20 mins walk to the center of town.

The staff was very friendly and helped with directions to places we wanted to see. Staff referred us to a very good restaurant for breakfast that was easy to find. The beds were a bit firm but the rooms were super clean and just what we were looking for. Plenty of blankets, pillows and nice towels.

Nothing, really. All was good.

The staff was wonderful!! The hotel was very clean and there were little shops and street vendors nearby in the evenings. There was a little garden area with a comfy hammock and chairs. Staff very helpful with suggestions of things to do.

Friendly people, pretty enough room and very clean. This is a simple motel of good value, away from the loud parties and traffic of downtown. Enough blankets, towels, and hot water, free coffee and good advice. Got Wifi on balcony or in the garden. Hotel is still within walking distance to plaza and restaurants. Also just three blocks from Templo Inconcluso, a fabulously romantic place where you could hang out on the lawns, amid flowers and picturesque ruins, for a meditative, quiet experience.

The light wasn't very bright, bring a little booklight if you like to read in bed! Had to go outside of the room for Wifi, which is pretty much par for the course in small-town Mexico, especially in colonial towns with thick walls. Do not expect absolute quiet or a soft mattress - like everywhere in Mexico there are roosters, music, neighbors, and the mattresses are firm.

Spacious, clean room. Comfortable beds. Private parking right in front of the room. Beautiful view.

We decided last minute to stop in Mascota and we did not regret it. Meson la Huerta is cosy, clean, spacious. Parking also included! The perfect accommodation to sleep when visiting Mascota. We completely loved it! Staff was super friendly and recommended places to visit and eat. We suggest you to try the Tacos from El Chocolate - the best tacos we ever tried and few meters from the hotel.

The place was nice, and the room was very clean.

There was a chicken farm right next to the property, and the noise was extremely loud for most of the night. This was likely due to fireworks or cannonball shots during the night, but it made it impossible to rest. We weren’t aware of this beforehand and nobody notified us. We decided to leave early in the morning.

Security, or lack thereof. Mascota has turned into a pretty unhospitable town as of late, at least towards gringo tourists. This is a motel, so there is no "main door", the gate is always open for vehicles to come and go, so anyone can walk up to the rooms...This motel's door to my room was a hollow-frame thin wood door, with only a knob lock. Even a small lady could knock the door in with her shoulder, or the locked knob can be opened with butter knife or credit card. I did not feel secure leaving my possessions in this room, nor did I feel safe staying in this room. This is an outside door, you absolutely need to install solid metal doors with deadbolts AND interior chain locks!
