This property is incredible. I have visited Puerto Vallarta hundreds of times and stayed in many various hotels and Airbnbs. This Hacienda exceeds all others by a long shot. It is conveniently located right in the center of the Romantic Zone but just off the main drag enough to be very very quiet. The rooms are beautifully appointed with an incredible eye for detail. Super clean pool and hot tub, blackout curtains, little amenities everywhere. This place is a gem. If you can get it, go for it. You won’t find a better place.

We had a wonderful stay. The grounds are amazing with beautiful trees, plants and flowers - it's like an oasis! The studio was very spacious and had everything that we needed. We are looking forward to coming back!

The fact that our stay was over!

The property was a hidden paradise - "Escondida" indeed! A short walk from the beach and all the action, but removed enough to be a very quiet, peaceful night's sleep and place to simply relax. The common areas are meticulously kept, verdant gardens with hang-out nooks everywhere, and the funky, low colorful lighting set the mood. The pool is clean and refreshing, the jacuzzi a nice temperature even in the summer. I loved hanging out high up in the treehouse, having a beer and watching the town come alive. Scott, the owner, and Francisco, his right-hand man, are so kind, welcoming, and sweet, I felt like I was staying with old friends. The rooms are large, clean, comfortable and quiet. The bed was SO nice, air conditioning made it super comfortable, and even during the loud celebrations during pride week, we couldn't hear a thing once we were finally tucked in at night. I'm already looking forward to the next time I get to go back :)

I honestly can't think of a thing to complain about. Perhaps if you're looking to party until 5 am naked and loud as hell in whatever place you're staying, this isn't the place to book. But you can do that down the street and then have a nice quiet place to sleep it off, with the intention of being respectful to the other guests around you!

Breakfast was not part of the deal. However, there was a kitchen so we cooked our own breakfast each day. The courtyard was fantastic and each late-afternoon I would swim and use the jacuzzi. The owner and staff were exceptional hosts providing solid information about Puerto Vallarta. The location was wonderful--away from the hustle of the beach area but close enough to stroll to Los Muertos Beach in fifteen minutes. The restaurant selection in the neighborhood was also outstanding. We had a terrific stay with Scott and Francisco and would highly recommend booking some nights with them. You won't believe what happens after dark in the courtyard--the place transforms into a spectacular light show!

Easy check in! Scott was very friendly and helpful. We loved the beautiful courtyard with all of the flowers, trees, plants and water features. The pool and hot tub were great too. Our apartment was wonderful with a gorgeous kitchen that had great appliances and was well-equipped and had a nice living room with TV that had Netflix and a ceiling fan. We loved the large windows overlooking the courtyard. The bedroom was spacious and had lots of closet space with shelves and drawers. The bed was very comfortable and there was a ceiling fan to keep the room cool. The bathroom was spacious with a large shower. The suite was very clean and Scott provided a toiletries basket, some chocolate and some drinks in the fridge. We had friends for dinner twice and Scott provided extra dishes for us. The hotel is right across from a great market and a 10 to 15 minute walk to the beach. It was a quiet oasis and we really liked staying here and hope to return! We highly recommend Hacienda Escondida!

This property is truly a hidden gem: Very beautiful, tranquil, and close to Zona romántica. Loved my stay there and wish it was longer. It’s great for families, solo travelers, or couples. It a very relaxing atmosphere: loved falling asleep/wake up to the sound of exotic birds and the fountain right next to the room. Scott and Francisco are very sweet and helpful, thank you again for your hospitality! The rooms are very spacious and equipped with everything you need including free necessities, drinks, snacks. I will return back there in a heartbeat and recommend it to anyone.

Hacienda Escondida was a little oasis in an unfamiliar city...entering from the hot street into a cool garden full of bird sounds and a waterfall in the pool . It is right across the street from the Emilio Zapata market...good breakfasts, fresh produce and everything else we needed to cook in the well equipped kitchen. We'll definitely return

Scott has created a beautiful, tranquil space for his guests to chill and enjoy. The special unique touches in our suite are too numerous to mention from the wall art to the comfy robes, soft sheets, welcome card and thank you letter! The outdoor gardens are amazing, the pool and jacuzzi so lovely, everything immaculately clean. The tree house is a fun place to visit and enjoy the view! Hacienda Escondida is in a great location, close to many restaurants with a market right across the street and only 15 minutes walk to the ocean. The neighbourhood is very safe and security at the hotel is exceptional.

This is a great property with really nice small touches...firefly lights in the plants, a light show above the pool every night that syncs with music, etc. Scott, the owner is always ensuring that people are safe and get what they need and can be seen around working on upkeep. Anything I needed I got. I will be back! And Francisco is making sure things are clean and kept up I will be going back! Thanks for a great stay!
