The property is gorgeous with very wonderful and attentive staff. Our room was very large with a lovely balcony and a view that couldn’t be beat. The restaurant breakfasts were huge. We enjoyed a very lovely dinner at La Capella and could easily have eaten there more than once. The location is just perfect. The grounds are immaculate. We hope to stay again and bring friends next time!

I read the reviews so was prepared for hot water issues- it was annoying but not so it that would keep me from staying. I would say the noise from the bar, the restaurant and the front desk area would deter me perhaps from that particular room again. The church bells didn’t bother us at all!

The view was spectacular- the room was great. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. We had a large outside space and a bonus balcony accessed by a spiral staircase. The Italian restaurant on site was very popular and reservations are essential. It has the best view in the city and the violin serenade while dining is perfection for a romantic evening.

The safe in the room was not bolted down so we didn't feel safe leaving our valuables inside. The bathroom was a little antiquated and the shower pressure was subpar, if you have mobility issues, stepping into the shower could be challenging. It has a massive marble bathtub with beautiful pillars which looks impressive but not so practical to access. The location of the hotel is accessed via very steep streets and again for people with mobility issues this may be an issue. The workaround is to grab a taxi or an Uber!

Stunning views and location cannot be beat. Spacious ! We stayed in the Sacristian room, beautiful balcony and another rooftop balcony for our private use. The New Years fireworks we had the best location to watch it all by ourselves with a bottle of wine. Breakfast included was the best bet. Cooked to order every morning and served till noon!! Only thing I noticed was our bed needs to be updated. Walked every day to the gulch and back, nice and quiet. Artisan shops and various flea markets to spend time. Will never forget this New Years Vacation.

Absolutely exceptional hotel, stunning views! The 2 rooms we had were gorgeous with a lot of attention to detail - there was a chandelier in the bathroom, and a fountain in our own personal courtyard! I thought the church bells may have been a bit annoying, but they were beautiful and added to the experience! (I would also recommend having a look in the church it is so gorgeous). The onsite restaurant was an absolute treat - think sunset and violins.. Don't be put off by the stairs, they aren't at all bad, it is worth it!

This hotel is gorgeous. The décor could be too much, but it's not, it's just perfect and it felt authentic. The room was very private, spacious with a beautiful bath room, balcony with a beautiful view, great size bed, and all the amenities you might need. The pool area is not big, but is enough, the pool was the perfect temperature and we had a wonderful afternoon with drinks. The service is their strong suite. All the team (Noelia and Daniela from reception, Alfredo and all the servers from the bar and restaurant) were so welcoming and professional. Everything is very clean, and we had wonderful days here!

The only thing in our opinion wasn't great, was the food. We felt the breakfast was not even close to the quality of the hotel. It's very limited, fruit, pancake, eggs and bacon. It's heavy food for the weather and the exact same thing everyday. It was ok for one and maybe even 2 days, but on the third we were eating just the fruit and juice, sometimes a pancake. We could definitely improve their menu and give us a few more choices. The food was also not good on the dinner we had in their restaurant. Overall we felt it was not mexican food (or italian if you consider the restaurant cuisine) but just bad american.

This hotel was the best part of our trip! The details and design were incredible, it felt so comfortable and luxurious. The bed was comfy and the view was awesome. So many good restaurants within walking distant and lots to explore!

Many reviews talk about the bell, and that's the biggest downside. It's not on a timer, so people can quite literally ring it at any point of the day, for as long as they want. It wasn't the worst thing in the world, but definitely something to think about ifyou're looking for a more quiet, relaxing stay.

We loved hearing the church bells!! We stayed in the Paraíso room. The view was breathtaking!! The food at the restaurant was delicious. There was no attention to detail that was left out. The staff was welcoming and very professional. We are definitely going to stay there again.

There wasn’t anything we didn’t love about the property and location. I did get a reality check on how out of shape I am with climbing the stairs up to the hotel.😂

This is a uniquely beautiful hotel. The rooms are spacious with nice outdoor spaces and all with amazing views. The staff were helpful and quick to respond. Easy access to the town, restaurants, and the beach if you don't mind some hill climbs.

The only downside were the church bells, which rang every 15 minutes plus added bells that often seemed random. But with provided earplugs, they didn't interrupt our sleep.

We loved the hotel and it had a great charm to it. Location was near romantica district and easy to walk around. It’s also the hotel of one of the best restaurants in the city, La Capella. Our Uber drivers would sometimes know the hotel, but everyone always knew the restaurant. The staff was also really helpful and kind whenever we needed something. Would definitely stay again.

The water takes really long to heat up and we felt bad running it for 10 minutes before it was luke warm to shower. They warned us in the beginning but it’s just a lot of water waste. It also has an amazing view of the bell tower. The downside is that the bells ring all the time, more than once an hour. They provide ear plugs but it’s definitely a downside if you aren’t used to sleeping with ear plugs.
