We didn't get breakfast and slept in. The Blue Ridge Scenic Railway was right outside our window and was a very nice historic touch and hearing the loud train horn was nice, since my son loves trains. I wish we had more time to ride the train, but we will return to tour. The views were scenic for the trees turning fall colors. Great location! Modern hotel was decorated nice and clean. Also, they accommodated an early check-in so that we could change for a wedding. We liked the parking gate access to the lot in front of the hotel.

We were told the restaurant on rooftop was open on Thanksgiving. We were traveling and not home for Thanksgiving and hoped to at least have dinner there since everything else in town was closed. We called the desk at 4. They said it was open so we went upstairs at 4:30 and were told it will not open. We had no food, drink etc. We drove around town and finally found a restaurant to eat at. Thank goodness. We packed up the next morning at 4:30 am and headed to Florida. Very disappointed in Hampton Inn. We just wanted to relax from driving in a nice place and have a decent meal.

We stay at Hampton Inns whenever we have the opportunity. This was by far the nicest Hampton Inn we have ever stayed in. The property was clean, it was well located, and it had an in-house restaurant on the roof, which served excellent food. When I called down to the desk to ask about locating a menu for the restaurant, Courtney found one for me and sent it up to the room.

The only minor negative I can come up with is that we had to pay five dollars a day for parking on the Hampton Inn property.

Enjoyed the view from our room and the spaciousness of our room. Enjoyed the daily breakfast with amazing options. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Location was great within walking distance to attractions, shops, and restaurants.

The location of our room was convenient however it was very close to the entry door to the hallway where the rooms are located and there was a high traffic volume which made it noisy.

The staff were very friendly and professional. The facilities were outstanding. The rooms were modern and well kept. The breakfast area was well designed for seating and self-service. The Bar/Restuarant rivaled what you find in a big named Hotel

We were not all together but the Will was able to get two rooms across from each other so kids were close to an adult.

The location was perfect. We could walk anywhere we wanted and we had a view of the train and shops from our room

Our tv wasn’t connected to the internet and a repairman never came But we were able to get all major networks and all HBO channels. No Nexflic The Inn was nicely decorated and well staffed. A very well kept Hampton Inn We would definitely stay there again.

We planed to ride the Blue Ridge Senic Railway on this trip and this hotel was prefect for that. It was in walking distance from the depot. It is right downtown with restaurants and shopping all within walking distance. The hotel itself appeared to be new or recently updated. Very clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The facility was nice and well run, we enjoyed the stay. Good breakfast and excellent staff. We enjoyed lunch at the Hook and Eye. Very nice view of the city from our room.

Having to check in before you could park in the parking lot. We had to park on the curb since there were no parking spaces. The train is very close and woke us up during early morning. The noise of the train was not tolerable. Our bathroom shower fixture was broken.

From check-in to checkout we had a wonderful experience. They were very welcoming to us and our dog. The location is perfect for enjoying downtown Blue Ridge. Definitely worth a little extra for a French balcony room. Just check the train schedule if you’re not an early riser. We loved the train, but some may not. 10/10

The hotel had experienced a major power outage (due to weather which knocked out power to the entire street) shortly before we arrived for check-in. The staff were courteous, kind, and even allowed us to enter into our room so that we could rest prior to the power being restored. We were so thankful for their kindness--especially since there was nothing they could do to improve the situation which was entirely beyond their control. Andre, the manager, was a rock star throughout the entire process! We also enjoyed the breakfast, the rest of the staff was wonderful and friendly, and our room was clean and comfortable. We highly recommend staying here.
