Property was nicely decorated and generally appears well maintained. Our room had a great mountain view, Keurig coffee maker, iPhone chargers, fireplace, bath robes, and a private entrance, which were nice. The staff and homemade breakfasts were exceptional and the afternoon snacks, including wine were also a nice touch. The process for check in and out was simple and the in-room instructions were also easy to navigate. Plenty of board games and loner hiking equipment were available. The directions, restaurant and hiking recommendations by Don were very much appreciated. Overall a very nice property!

I would call these recommendations, not dislikes. 1) We did not have a specific HVAC for our room, so had a little bit of a hard time getting comfortable with the preset temps. A mini split with individual room controls would have been nice. We like it cold. 🥶 2) We also are evening coffee drinkers, but creamer was not available at the times when the kitchen is "off limits". Stocking the dining room fridge in the future would be great. 3) The driveway to the lodge is steep and narrow. Be prepared for this.

This gem of a lodge is tucked away in the North Georgia mountains. It was dressed for the holidays, and the fireplace was wonderful. Breakfast was delicious, the bed was comfortable, and it's definitely got the vibe of individuality. There are only five rooms, so it is very quiet. Staff is very friendly and helpful with figuring out activities (early winter, terrible weather, but we found enough to do during our stay!)

The night we arrived it was foggy, cold and raining. There is no "easy" way to get there (or Dahlonega in general), but we nearly drove right past the road leading to the lodge. (A lighted sign for dark, foggy nights would be a godsend!) The lodge's placement on a steep hill makes it a challenge to get there if you're not familiar with it. The parking is a challenge—the lot is narrow and it's difficult to turn around especially if there are other cars there.

The lodge is aesthetically set up to be homely and welcoming so you feel you can use the common areas and balcony comfortably. The room was lovely with unique furniture that matched the lodge experience. Don is amazing - kind, helpful and knowledgeable about the area. He went above and beyond to help us enjoy our stay, and his breakfasts are incredible. Dahlonega is a charming town and easy to drive to with lots of shops and places to eat. We loved every minute and wished we could have stayed longer.

This lodge was more than we expected! The host was wonderful and knew the area very well. He greeted us as we arrived and gave us a tour of the property. When we entered our room, there were freshly baked cookies, plus a wine and cheese platter in our mini fridge. The property had a beautiful mountain view from the balcony; which faced a gorgeous sunset. Each morning we were served a beautiful delicious breakfast. The lodge had a hospitality room with treats, teas, coffee, and water which were available all day. The place was well maintained and very clean! We will definitely be going back!

Everything really was perfect!

Don met us as we arrived and was very welcoming, even carrying our bags upstairs for us. Kendall cooked a delicious breakfast, including yeast risen homemade waffles! The view of the mountains was wonderful from the porch. Nice touch having cookies in your room as well as a plate of snacks and drinks available in the refrigerator. Very cozy enjoyable visit. Could have enjoyed staying extra nights!

Watch out for steep driveway. Internet was spotty or nonexistent.

Everything was perfect. We arrived late (around 8 pm) so the keys for the bedroom were in a envelope with my name. It is very easy and close to Dahlonega downtown, 10min. There are many possibilities for hiking. The breakfast is really good. They also have tea, coke, and some food as snacks during day.

The rooms were comfortable, cozy and clean. Don the manager was very welcoming and had lots of information about Dahlonega. Lovely views and Don serves a delicious breakfast. A great location for hikers and couples.

It's located just under 7 miles from town up a steep hill. So no drinking in town and trying to drive back. Not recommended. 😄

The hosts have the true innkeepers gift. Thoughtful touches abound! From a proper pot for your morning tea to fresh baked cookies in your room, to a nightlight to help you find the bathroom at 3 in the morning! Oh yeah, the super comfortable bed and that view!!!!

The signage on the county road could be a bit more noticeable. Hard to spot in the dark.

I did a solo motorcycle trip to ride the roads in the area. I stayed three nights. This lodge is like having a private cabin in the mountains. I arrived in the early evening. I was somewhat amazed at the check-in process. Very precise instructions. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was great. Don and his staff are so hospitable. I met some great people that were staying there. The view from the porches are fantastic. The amenities were something that I never experienced. I will be back with my wife in a car next time. One statement of caution to motorcyclists. The hill to climb to get to the top is about a 45 degree grade and maybe 100 yards long. Be sure to give it a lot of gas especially on a heavy cruiser. It was an amazing place to

There was nothing that I did not like.

Great host and location. Our 3rd visit. We're already thinking about the next time. A wonderful escape from really....

Could have used more noise and less wildlife. I'm just kidding.... It's part of what makes this place special.
