The staff were incredibly kind, sincere, thoughtful, and accommodating. The secret garden dining room for dinner was lovely, quiet, and private. Dinner was order by menu and breakfast was buffet. All food was cooked from scratch. Room was large and spacious with basic toiletries, beautiful view of the mountains, and a porch. I really appreciated the option for the late check out b/c my daughter fell ill and we needed to stay. 20 minutes from town was ideal.

The shower needs a little TLC but we were in the offseason. Much more rustic that I thought it would be which was fun.

I love the area and the staff. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. We booked a room we did not like but we had been there before so we called to see if the room we has been in before was available and yes it was. The staff was very nice and moved us. We are a busy couple with kids and business and this is a great place to relax and step away for a while. I will be stay again but please see the negative.

Cleanliness of the unit. I own a cleaning business so I noticed a lot and I will not go into detail however they do need more attention to detail. The vents also needs to be cleaned. Cover on our bottom floor had stains on them. This is just the example of some of the things.

Breakfast was delicious. Different varieties each morning. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Greeted us with a warm smile as we walked in. They took their time explaining everything to us. Lunch and dinner food were good as well. The rooms were very nice and the beds were soft and comfortable. We will definitely be back again. It was quiet and peaceful. The grounds are beautiful.

Nothing, everything was great.

We liked having a hot tub in our room. We enjoyed sitting on the porch even though the view was just of the wooded area. It was peaceful and we saw deer. We loved the included breakfast buffet every morning. The staff was really nice and the owner was there and involved. We enjoyed meeting him and his dog, Tua.

We were on our honeymoon but there was nothing that indicated that our cabin was the honeymoon cabin. You could purchase things in advance but who remembers to do that the week leading up to a wedding. It would've been nice if the honeymoon cabin already included items like roses, chocolate covered strawberries, candles, and/or champagne. The couples only restaurant was a little disappointing. The waitress was great but our steak was cold and the pork chop was well done and dry. They only had 1 cook so we didn't complain but it was disappointing for the price. The cabin has no stove/oven to cook with and little to no dishes.

The location is wonderful, the resort is great. They have alot of options to fo on grounds. Close to go sightseeing to dahlonga n ellijay n the mountains.

The spider web is everywhere around our lodge. They need to pay closer attention. The ste poo s walking upstairs and around the doirs. Ain't nothing worse than walking into them. Also, lighting outside around lodge, there were none. So trying to get to stairs to go up was interesting.

Even though we were a couple of hours late checking into Forrest Hills, the staff waited for us to arrive. The room was very clean and the A/C was very cold! The facilities were well maintained and were available for use the entire stay.

The only thing that stood out as poor quality was the new cook's desire to heavily salt the fresh eggs for breakfast before serving them. Everything else about breakfast was of superior quality and taste.

The mountain laurel inn was very clean. It is a bit dated and worn down, but it was still charming. Everything worked reasonably well. The on site restaurant was excellent.

The hot water seemed to come and go. I was told by maintenance that this happens sometimes because 4 water heaters service the whole building and can sometimes run short on water if a lot of people take showers at the same time. Most of the showers we took had hot water. 2 had luke water to cool water.

It was all inclusive in that there were activities there, horse stable, game room, gem mining, restaurant, gift shop, places to relax, walking trails and a variety of lodging options. We saw a few roaches in the building we stayed iu

We couldn't use the hot tub because we didn't have a large group. The mattress was not comfortable but the room was nice and large enough for us.

Lovely location, nice staff and comfortable room.

Breakfast was disappointing. The kitchen lost my order then sent out the wrong order, even after I re-ordered, and the food was lukewarm. They were also out of several items I usually order including bacon.

we like the common space area with the fireplace, tv and tables. We enjoyed the space playing board games. The breakfast is excellent! considering that into the price made this property a real value. Our daughter enjoyed a horse ride at the stables located right on the property. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful.

The mattress protector was so noisy when we would move in the bed. it sounded like walking in crunchy snow.
