Love this place! We stayed in Riverfront family room with front and back door, this was my second time staying in one of these type rooms. Nice cement patio with tables, chairs and fire pits (which they had added 2 new ones since our last stay) We had planned to roast hotdogs, marshmallows and make smores. The fire pits were perfect for this, Great river spot just to enjoy the water, fishing or watching the tubers. We were even able to enjoy the live music coming from the restaurant next-door. Room was clean, Beds and bedding comfortable. Grab and go breakfast was perfect for us and the gentleman in the office is sooooo nice and polite. A welcome change in today's world. We had a great time!

The balcony was nice and the restaurant next door (same name but no longer directly affiliated with the hotel) has some of the best food in town and there was a beer garten with some great live music and some of my favorite german beers on tap. We also came with a trailer and motorcycles and the staff was great about having a place where we could park and unload the bikes. Definitely made for an exceptional weekend!

The room was decent, not exceptional but definitely met expectations. Could have been a little cleaner (specifically the spa tub hairs, old soap etc) but it wasn't anything a quick wipe down couldn't fix.

Being right on the stream ! Loves the location!! Beds were comfy, breakfast options were good! Coffee was really good As well! 😁Rooms were clean & upgraded.

We understand it’s an old hotel and probably has shifted so the doors ( front and bathroom) are not aligned and have to literally bang against the doors to get them open! A good shave down would fix that! One wall in bathroom is not painted it’s Like they ran out of paint and never went back. But didn’t bother us! Just thought you should know .

The main reason to stay is location and a good rest. The king size bed was exceptionally comfortable. Everything I needed was there an adequate and the price was the best in the area. The location is prime.

I think it’s unfair that some of the comments when I was researching where to stay said bad things about this hotel when you get such a great price for the location it’s half the cost of any other hotel in the area. My room was exactly what I expected. There have been many upgrades just recent to it, which was actually surprising to me.

We planned a last minute Saturday night stay because our family met in town for Thanksgiving. We picked the king room with spa. We were very pleased with the room. It was newly updated with a new large screen TV, brand new laminate wood flooring and new furniture. The hotel is one of Helen's original older hotels, but that makes the location perfect and just steps away from everything. We will definitely stay again.

The room could have had one more corner lamp or some other lighting source. It was dark on the side of the room close to the balcony.

The room had a river view. We were able to walk down to the river and enjoy the water. The guy that checked us in was very nice and gave me the option of the river view room. Also it was next to a restaurant that had wonderful food. We were able to walk over and didn't have to drive.

I wish I would have went there and gotten the room directly from the owner. My advice is stop in or call to reserve.

when I clicked on their website on Google, it took me straight to booking.com because they didn't have a website, that should not happen,like that.come to find out the actual company is in the Neverland's, and they charged me $235.00 for 1 night, that is outrageous,when the web site says $75.00 I will no longer be using booking.com.

Location of the hotel, front desk clerks were very nice, accessibility was great. Wonderful view of the water, room was warm and the hot water was great. Overall my stay was what I was looking for

The rooms did not have a do not distrub sign. So they came into my room when I didn't need them to and they cleaned my room the day of my departure before I had checked out

The general manager was very helpful and very kind. He was courteous and welcoming. The hotel is in the process of being renovated, but the rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was generous and delicious. It is in walking distance to the main town. It is conveniently located to restaurants and shopping. It was a quiet area. I will definitely return.

Upon arrival, I was greeted by the very nice man in the office. He informed me of which room I had rented and gave me the option for a room with a river view. The room was freshly remodeled, and the color scheme, along with the nice TV and fresh linens, made my stay very cozy. Plus, the Hofbrauhuas Restaurant is right next door, so I got to enjoy some delicious German food!
