Beautiful location and lodging. Super comfortable bed

Booking.com needs to make it super clear that their site is not including the cleaning fee. It’s easy to miss that and I had to pay it after the fact. Thankfully it was a very affordable fee.

Breakfast items were ok. Not a big issue for us. The location was excellent for our needs; a rehearsal dinner in Helen and wedding in Cleveland. The room was clean and clearly well taken care of. The one bathroom worked fine for the three of us (husband, wife and adult son). Suspect it could have been a little difficult if our daughter-in-law had also been able to be there.

No complaints about anything. Main bedroom area upstairs was large and comfortable, bed was great. But the stairs could prove difficult for older guests with mobility issues. And older people often need the bathroom during the night. With bedroom up and bathroom down, a caution to potential older guests may be helpful.

I love the atmosphere, the rooms are always clean and comfortable. I mainly go because it's an easy check-in and when I get in late they allow me a late checkout. I have insomnia so because of that I will always stay here when I'm in Helen. We love that There's a Jacuzzis in the room and the staff members are always super nice. The other thing I really enjoy is going out on the balcony with a cup of coffee and having options for breakfast that are there all day so there's no rush to get up before 10:00 a.m. And eat.

This is a beautiful facility. It is luxurious. Bed and linens were superior. I heartily recommend this establishment.

They were very clear that they only offer snacks instead of a breakfast! So, plan on finding a restaurant for breakfast. Checkin was a totally automated system so if your cell phone doesn't die (which mine did), you would be out of luck. There wasn't a human being on the property. Write down your room code.

Thank you for the optimally well-built system of remote check-in and receiving codes for entering the hotel and the room. I liked the spacious lounge area and interesting interiors, tea and coffee are freely available. A good souvenir shop in the hotel. There is a bar. Spacious room, wide bed, you could open the window in the room, good bed linen, spacious bathroom. A wonderful place in nature. The location is well accessible. Near the city of Helen, a few minutes' drive away.

We found the Sylvan Valley Lodge by accident, searching for Air BnB's in the Helen area. Due to the recent increase in cost for Air Bnb's, we had to seek other options. We are so glad we found the Sylvan Valley Lodge. Nestled in the forest, right off a sleepy highway, a few minutes from downtown Helen, the Sylvan Valley Lodge is the perfect place to escape the city life and enjoy some time in nature, while still being close enough to take advantage of everything Helen has to offer. The room was clean and comfortable, the surrounding grounds are absolutely gorgeous. The complimentary wine tasting was a great time. Scott, the bartender, was absolutely lovely and the wine was great. There is a little restaurant attached to the bar, while we did not try any of the food, other guests said great things. Free coffee and snacks was also extremely welcome as we were running all around the area and didn't have time to grab breakfast. We are so glad we found the Sylvan Valley Lodge and intend on returning soon.

It was in a quiet little place. Five minutes from down town Helen. The staff was very friendly and you could do everything contactless if you preferred. The room was clean and absolutely beautiful. Had a very old time feel to it that was great. They also texted you when your room was ready so you knew as soon as possible when you could get in.

Awesome little lowkey place in GA wine country. The tasting room staff were super friendly and helpful. Very close to Mt. Yonah (the reason for our trip) and the several quality wineries around.

A common complaint with most NoGA wineries... no food! The charcuterie board in the tasting room was ~fine~ and they actually did a good job of putting out a lot of grab-and-go snacks, but it would've been great to just be able to grab a bagel in the morning or something. Also... the mattresses need to be updated. It could be personal preference but I found the old school spring mattress quite uncomfortable.

Our room was really clean and comfortable. The decor was really cozy. Wish the weather was better so we could have taken advantage out the outdoor area. The staff was great and helpful on suggestions for places to eat and we loved the tasting room too.

Nothing about our stay was disappointing

We didn’t eat there cook to order breakfast or dinners during this visit. However, I’m the common family area upstairs, there is a free concession station filled with muffins ( chocolate, blueberry, and banana nut), kurig style coffees and teas, water, yogurts, and granola style bars. The free concession area goes quick and it only gets filled once a day.

The lounge closes very early. 9pm to be exact. It would be nice if the lodge kept the lounge area unlocked for guests with a beer/wine, soft drinks, water and food vending area to accommodate the night owls. Having a self serve “Pay for” option is better than nothing at all.
