The location is wonderful!! We were able to walk to all the shops and restaurants. The staff was so nice and gave us tons of information about the area and cool things to go see.

Everything was good about the room except the pillows.... They were just a little pillow case of fluff. If you tried to use two pillows you sank down into them so far you felt suffocated. Definitely need fuller pillows or take your own. We had constant problems with our TV remote... Some days it would turn the TV on but wouldn't control anything. Other days it wouldn't work at all... Several trips to the office to get new remotes or maintenance help.

The breakfast overall was good. The only thing that could have made it better was offer a true hot breakfast and ripe, fresh fruits. But the size of the dining location is not conducive to handle a dream table, so I understand why they don't offer hot food. They did however, offer microwaveable options (breakfast sandwiches, oatmeal, etc) which was replenished frequently. The fruit was inedible; bananas were green!

The price. I booked in July, the price was $248/ night. The night we arrived,the same room was available for $149/ night. I discussed with the staff but was told they wouldn't/couldn't adjust. They only thing I could have done was cancel and rebook the same day before 4pm via their website to get the better rate. So i am out $217(including tax) because I booked in advance. Pricing games anger me. Never again. 😡

Floors were swept but not mopped. Feet had to be cleaned before getting into bed.

Loved this hotel so much!! my husband and I would definitely stay here again sometime in the future, rooms are clean, great location and the fact that there’s breakfast included is incredible and not to mention theres a microwave and fridge which makes everything super convenient!

Only thing I’d say should have been better is that the tv remote only worked to watch regular tv, even though it shows we could watch netflix or hbo but it wouldn’t work for that, and also the keycards were having a bit of issues but other than that this hotel is amazing!

I love that the property was centrally located to all the fun and activities in downtown Helen, Georgia. The staff was super friendly and gave good recommendations for local hotspots. Our children loved the heated indoor pool that gave them a break from the cold weather during the winter season. The facilities were family, friendly and super clean. It was just a short drive from Anna Ruby Falls and Dukes Creek Falls, two highly recommended easy to moderate hiking trails, family friendly. All time favorite local restaurant of any place we have EVER visited – Hoochee’s River Basket!!!!! 10 out of 10 stars on delicious burgers, affordable prices, and friendly local staff!

Not a single thing left us dissatisfied.

I read previous reviews, and they were mostly positive so we decided this Best Western hotel would suit us for our 3 day getaway. The location is great.... just a few minutes stroll to the center of downtown Helen. From the moment we arrived, the entire staff that we encountered was incredibly helpful and friendly. The breakfast area was filled with a nicer variety of food items than the typical continental breakfast served at many hotels like this. Even when we weren't in need of anything, the staff would offer a greeting, and let us know to ask if there was anything we needed. The room was very clean (it passed my white glove test/check when I first went in) and was quite comfortable. As I write this, I am trying to thing of anything I disliked or felt should be better.... can't come up with anything. I appreciated that the hotel accommodated my request for a ground floor room - my 72 year old knees and stairs don't particularly like one another. I would definitely stay here again if we come back to Helen for another visit. Auf Wiedersehen ! :-)

I am pretty critical because of my past as a manager for several businesses - it was my job to look for things that ought to be cleaner, or be done better, or that should be fixed. I really did not see anything that I can downgrade.

The location is at the heart of main street Helen. Easy access by foot to all the city has to offer. Breakfast was rather limited

The mattresses were worn out. The staff attitude was not that great. For example, we stayed 2 nights. After the first night, we left the room around 11 a.m. , which is when we removed the do-not-disturb sign from the door. The cleaning lady was cleaning the next room at that time and said nothing. When we returned in the afternoon, we realised that the room was not cleaned, towels were not replaced, etc. When we called the front desk, we were told that this was because we did not leave the room in time to be cleaned. We did manage, however, to change the towels at the front desk. Needless to say that there were many options the hotel could choose from to prevent this from happening.

I stayed here with 2 kids for summer vacation and we all had a great time. The pool was nice. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. Breakfast was nice, they offered many basic options, waffles, muffins, fruit, biscuit, bagels, apple & orange juice etc... The staff was very friendly and did whatever they could to make sure our stay was comfortable and we were happy. Location is excellent, we walked to many places, it's basically downtown.

The wifi wasn't the greatest but we didn't need it too much with how busy we were

Location, breakfast area very accommodating. Coffee 24/7 great. Front desk staff excellent & very helpful. Bottom floor room was so helpful, but floors were not very clean as we couldn't go barefoot before bed & to get up at night to use bathroom without wiping our feet off to return to bed. If we were in sock feet, they became very soiled. It's a nice facility otherwise.

Cleanliness of floors.

The cleanliness is superb at the time we stayed which is interestingly in comparable with other highly rated inns around the area. Beds are comfortable where we roomed in and the bathroom is very clean. The air-conditioning works very well. It's just a few walks away from coffee and ice cream shop using Narr Wegg street behind the hotel. Bodensee restaurant is not far away either. We enjoyed our overnight stay. Thanks.
