The view was spectacular; unfortunately the water fall was mostly dry during our stay. I imagine the place is even more unbelievable in the rainy season or winter. The food was ok but not more than that. I would say cut the multi-cuisine format and specialize in Kerala food; offer a simpler international set of dishes for room service, like pizza, green salads (without mayonnaise!), fish sandwiches, fish and chips, grilled/fried chicken, and so on. The staff were for the most part amazing, though housekeeping seemed to struggle keeping up with all the rooms. You could probably reduce the managerial staff who didn't seem to be on the top of their game and increase number of restaurant and cleaning staff.

I would’ve rate this property 10 but for the food. I’ll talk about that later. The positives outweigh the not so goods. The location is wonderful. The best view of the Attukad falls from anywhere in Munnar. The view from our room was breathtaking. The staff was super responsive and positive all the time. The rooms and facilities were clean and upto the mark. Overall a very positive experience. Will definitely recommend it to friends.

The only thing if any not so good was the food. When I say this it’s with a word of caution… we are avid foodies. And may be our standards and expectations are high. But we did experience a few meals that were super simple to be not so great. We did give feedback to the chef who was very receptive, but I guess this is like you get it right the first time or your don’t. When you are hungry and something mediocre arrives on your table you tend to eat it, but we do share feedback if asked for. The location is such that we would not want to to venture out in the night so dinners had to be here, and we were quite disappointed with the taste and flavours thru our stay… breakfast and dinner. Scope to improve.

After dreaming of this trip for so long, my husband and I finally made it to the breathtaking hills of Munnar—and our stay at Blanket Hotel & Spa made it all the more special. The hotel was spotless, the atmosphere serene, and the views truly unforgettable. Surrounded by peaceful nature and crisp mountain air, the whole experience felt like a perfect retreat. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff—especially the hotel manager and the chef—were incredibly warm and welcoming, adding a personal touch that made us feel truly cared for. Beautifully situated and thoughtfully run, this was the perfect escape we had hoped for.

The hotel's location was excellent. We were warmly welcomed and received the rooms we had booked. The hospitality was outstanding, and the reception team was exceptionally friendly, making us feel right at home. The breakfast was delicious, and the chef was accommodating. However, I was displeased to see a group of guests eating breakfast with their hands from the serving bowls, creating a significant disturbance. This issue was due to the guests' behavior rather than the hotel's service. I suggest adding Arabic dishes to the breakfast menu, considering the number of Arab guests or those expected. The reception team also helped us celebrate my brother's birthday by arranging a cake and offering chocolates as a welcome gesture. We were warmly bid farewell at the door upon our departure. However, I noticed an additional 80 dirhams were charged before our arrival without any explanation.

This is the second review as we stayed an extra night as so enjoyable and we think the place deserved it. The view was magnificent down the valley to the tea plantations, the hotel was immaculate with excellent service and a varied menu of Indian and Western foods. The pool gave great views also in an idyllic setting. You need a car or a driver to stay in the hotel as it is a little off the track.

Maybe serve alcohol at the bar, but you can buy beer and spirits in Munnar town if you feel the need

The location was fantastic with Munnar and the local attractions within a 15 minute drive. The views from the hotel windows was akin to looking at Paradise, the rooms were exceptionally clean and everything required at hand. The staff possibly the kindest and attentive we have encountered over the many journeys undertaken around the world. The evening menu was extensive and included Western Options and the evening buffet was varied and of quality and the breakfast provided enough choice for all. The infinity pool looked down the valley and the tea plantations, was heated and big enough to swim and also toels provided. Overall incredible value for money, though if you are thinking about visiting the Blanket & Spa Hotel go to Trivago to book as quite a discount available and we found booking.com the best price on offer.

Nothing could make this hotel any better.

Location, view, good size room. Very comfortable bed, super friendly staff, good yoga master free yoga sessions, a la carte menu food was extremely tasty. Lovely welcome by the reception ladies with bindi and necklace. And tea in reception while our room was being prepared was a lovely start to our stay. Staff were just falling over themselves to make sure we had everything we needed

Staff were so keen and wanted to give good service so they sometimes overstepped. For instance being asked how is your food 4 or 5 times during the course of the meal. We did enjoy the food very much - but please let us enjoy the meal without interruption. Also - I love food, I love music, but I don't like them together. The saxophone player at dinner was very talented but the music was amplified so much that conversation was difficult at times. These are minor points though and forgiveable because the staff really did put in the effort.

Loved everything about our stay at Blanket, highly recommend this hotel for a luxurious experience. Rooms are spacious and the view is amazing .The food at the restaurant here is the best.Its truly amazing and delicious.The head Chef Mr.Sonu personally check with the guests about their likes and dislikes and took suggestions . We are truly greatful to experience the tastiest dishes which are exclusive and authentic.Honestly made me tearful with joy when I ate " Ela ada" a special dish that my grandmother made us when we were kids..Each dish I ate from Blanket was exceptionally tasty. Chef Sonu also got me an extra "Mysoor Pack" which was nearly over as for it's popularity at dinner desserts, It melted in the mouth . My partner and I had all meals during our stay from the restaurant of this hotel itself..There singer played beautiful melodies during the buffet,suiting the taste of guests from different parts of the world who stayed at Blanket..I wish I could go back every year for my holidays at Blanket and hope to experience same treatment and delicious food each time..

wow what a property. Let me tell you all in advance(in case you are reading my comment) once you stay here you will not like to stay any resort which is lesser in quality than this one. This is an excellent place in Munnar to enjoy the nature, relax at the resort. We almost just stayed and relaxed here as there is so much to do right from yoga classes to swimming to nature walks to cooking demo, live music and evening yea. you have lots to do here. The view from the resort rooms and infinity pool is to die for with a gushing waterfall right beside the property. You also get to see tea gardens. This is a must stay place for everyone. To add to it the hospitality is excellent and all the staff are really good. The food here is very good with so many food items for buffet breakfast.

The villas themselves were exceptional! Well appointed most all the conveniences, nice balcony. The infinity pool was very nice chemical balance in the water was perfect.

Having stayed at blanket in Munar all I can say is the access road needs substantial improvement. The location is in the middle of nowhere and the view is just OK. You’re in the jungle as far as the food goes. There is nothing nearby as an alternative the breakfast buffet was decent. The chef made it a bit nicer by cooking French toast made to order, they also figured out how to make good old-fashioned American hamburgers, which was stunning! On the other hand, the fish was frozen. The beef dish was hamburger. It really did leave something to be desired.
