When trying to work out where to go on our first child-free holiday in over 20 years, it took us less than 20 seconds to decide on a return to Hotel Tamariu. To say it hadn't changed would be to do it a disservice. The rooms.have been upgraded, the furniture refreshed, it's been kept in great condition but some things definitely haven't changed. The important things. The outstanding service from all the staff; the effortless friendliness; the wonderful breakfasts overlooking the cove; the vibe in the hotel. It's just perfection. And Tamariu hasn't changed either. A bit busier maybe, but the beaches are clean, the water is crystal clear and perfect for swimming in, the restaurants are (on the whole) excellent and good value. And Catalans still outnumber the tourists.

Disappointed we couldn't stay longer. We definitely won't leave it another 20 years before we return.

The hotel is on the promenade to the beach and room 211 has a side view of the sea and a view of the town. The breakfast is continental and of good quality.The times are excellent and allows you to have a lie in without missing out.We found the staff excellent and very helpful. We paid to have our car garaged . It was only a two minute walk away.We found the weekends to be very lively from visitors and the locals but during the week it quietened down. We stayed in May .

Very clean and the staff exceptionally friendly. The room was great with a balcony at the side giving sea views. Lovely snacks and the restaurant was right on the promenade a stone’s throw from the sea. Great place to have breakfast. Easy to get to and unload luggage. Three star but in truth, first class.

Friendly, helpful and efficient staff, the view from the balcony. Good breakfast buffet with fruit and plenty of everything. Excellent location with views of the bay.

Nothing except the noise of bottles being thrown away at 6.30 on Sunday morning but probably not the fault of the hotel! Coffee machine water not hot enough for me but staff will provide hot water at the bar.

The location of the hotel was first class , the staff were very friendly & accommodating, you can literally go from your bedroom to the beach in two minutes we swam each morning followed by a delicious healthy breakfast - highly recommended !

I liked everything about the property, but most of all the STAFF!! So hardworking, kind, considerate, thoughtful. They treat everyone like family.

The parking situation is very tricky. The staff again helped as much as possible, but parking is in high demand in this area during peak season. I also think it would be helpful to leave instructions on how to operate the dual showerhead 😂😂😂!!

Perfect location right on sea front Generous self service breakfast Hotel was spotlessly clean with rooms efficiently cleaned and tidied every day. It’s a family hotel run by two sisters who take a real pride in it .

Excellent location. Lovely ambience. Sort of boho chic. Like up market Cornwall. Right on fantastic beach. Great restaurants all around but quiet from 11 pm. Parking is the only issue. You drop off bags and drive about 1/2 mile away to park for free. Tamariu is beautiful. The hotel lovely and good value. Great welcoming staff

Only the parking but it is a minor issue

We have been before so are confident of the quality. The position is right on the promenade in front of the sea, get a seafront room! The rooms are modern and comfortable, the staff are charming and friendly, the food in the restaurant is tasty, thoughtfully and carefully cooked. A must go to destination.

Everything was perfect! The position unbeatable, the staff attentive and professional, and overall, great value for money. Very clean and a super breakfast. A real gem.
