All restaurants were closed that we had to buy some groceries in a supermarket. They let us use kitchen appliances that we were able to have dinner there.

We absolutely loved our stay at Hostal Sa Barraca. The moment you walk in, it feels like home—the kind of place where you instinctively want to take your shoes off and settle in. It’s cozy, welcoming, and full of charm. The couple who runs it are truly wonderful—so kind, thoughtful, and genuinely passionate about what they do. Their warmth sets the tone for the entire stay. The location is perfect if you enjoy walking. We didn’t use our car once during our time there! Everything from the beaches to the town center is within reach on foot, and the strolls are beautiful. We couldn’t have asked for a better base to explore Begur. Highly recommend!

This place is an absolute gem! Peaceful, authentic, and surrounded by stunning nature. Everything was just perfect: the atmosphere, the scents, the sounds of birds in the morning, and the incredibly warm and kind people. There are so few places like this left in the world! The Wi-F is not great – and honestly, that’s a blessing. It forces you to slow down, unplug, and truly be present. A real reset for the mind and soul. You absolutely need a car to get there and to explore the surrounding area – but that’s part of the charm. It keeps the place quiet, unspoiled, and special. We completely fell in love and will definitely be back ❤️

The hosts were fantastic, so friendly and welcoming and could not do enough for us. They gave us lots of local information and a map to help us find places. They gave us use of a shared kitchen with our own shelf in the fridge, microwave and kettle which was very handy. Our room was lovely, traditionally Spanish and with our own terrace with a fabulous view overlooking the coast. We opted for breakfast each day on the hotel terrace with a sweet and savoury option, this was fantastic value for money. We will definitely return and it was very hard to leave!

There wasn't anything at all to dislike.

The view from the room was mindblowing! The room was very cozy and the host Juan was very friendly and gave us really good suggestions for restaurant and trek. There was a refrigerator at the property where we could store groceries which was very convenient as we could shop from a nearby supermarket and store perishable things in it.

Not something that we had a problem with as we were travelling light with just a backpack but if you are travelling by public transport be ready to walk a lot. Its a 15 minutes walk from the Begur centre and 25 mins walk back on top. Not a problem when you have your own vehicle.

Wow, not sure where to start. Juan greeted us at the entrance and as soon as you step in to the building you appreciate the view. The hosts were very attentive and helpful at all times, providing lots of information on local restaurants, where to park, walks and towns. Breakfast was fabulous on the terrace and enough to keep us going all day. We drove in to Begur each evening which is straight forward and no more than 10 minutes. I would highly recommend this rustic accommodation with fabulous views.

Our stay at the Sa Barraca was absolutely wonderful! The hosts are a married couple and are very welcoming and lovely. We had booked a room with a seaside-view and were blown away by the panoramic view over the ocean. The room was very clean and the hosts were always happy to help. The breakfast is freshly made and totally worth it. The hotel is at a very good location, with the ocean and supermarkets being nearby.

The owners were really nice and welcoming. The property’s area was beautiful with big houses in the neighbourhood. The view from our room was magical and it had 2 lounge chairs with a table. The view from the communal balcony was also incredible. Lastly, the kitchen and fridge area is well organized.

It truly felt like being welcomed into a loving family home. The hotel's location provided breathtaking views that painted the perfect backdrop for a relaxing getaway. With convenient free parking available, I was able to easily explore the surrounding area, including the stunning beaches that were just a short 10-15 minute drive away. While bus services were an option, I heeded the advice to travel by car, which gave me the flexibility to discover the hidden gems of the region at my own pace. The hotel manager, a knowledgeable native of the area, was a treasure trove of information about Begur and its surroundings. Their insightful tips and recommendations allowed me to make the most of my time exploring the region's beauty and culture. The rooms were meticulously clean, and it was a delightful surprise to find that every room featured its own terrace, adding a touch of private outdoor space to each stay. For those who like to keep a bit of flexibility in their dining options, the shared fridge for guests and the practical kitchen facilities were a thoughtful touch. Although I didn't try the breakfast myself, I heard raving reviews from fellow guests who had nothing but good things to say about it.

Of course, no stay is without a few minor hiccups. The internet coverage wasn't the most reliable or speedy, which might be a consideration for those needing to stay connected for work. Additionally, the proximity of the rooms to one another meant that, depending on. Also, consider the property has no pool.

Our room had a balcony with a smashing sea view and birds flitting across the trees outside. The breakfasts are superb and served on a terrace in good weather. The hosts are exceptionally kind. Highly recommended!

Begur is a wonderful town but you'll need a car to get there.
