The location of the hotel, whilst not in the town centre of Begur, is an 8 minute walk to town where you will find a vibrant atmosphere, with quaint boutiques, cafés, restaurants, and beautiful views of the coast and an amazing sunset. If coming in from Barcelona by bus, it is an 8 minute walk to the hotel from the bus stop. There's a big supermarket just about 4 minutes walking distance from the hotel. The rooms are big,and beddings, and pillows are of excellent quality. The bathroom is big with complete toiletries. The small fridge is stocked with drinks. Our room had a big terrace overlooking the road. Breakfast was excellent with fruits, croissants,pastries,breads,sausages,eggs,cereals,juices,coffee etc and the meal area had a beautiful and peaceful view of the mountains! This is a family run hotel with the most charming and hospitable service from the owners Miguel and wife Joanna. The service crew are all very accommodating and all have a pleasant disposition.

I cant think of anything i didn't like. Ask for a higher floor facing the mountains.

Hotel Mas Comangau was the highlight of our stay. We ate dinner at the hotel restaurant twice and our meals were outstanding. The best meals we had while in Spain were found here. We chose breakfast with our stay and it was exceptional--a lot of choices to choose from for the buffet. The room was big, clean, and comfortable. We did not have much of a view being on the first floor, but we did not stay long in our room. The hotel is within walking distance to Begur old quarter, which was nice not having to deal with parking. We used the hotel as a base to travel in the surrounding areas. We parked for free at one of a few spots at the hotel. The hotel and restaurant staff were helpful and attentive. We stayed here for 4 nights.

Lovely restaurant terrace overlooking rural view of beautiful trees, towards the mountains. We were v happy with our simply decorated, stylish room. Super kind and very helpful staff at reception. Away from hustle and bustle of Begur but not too far to walk to good restaurants and great shopping. Delicious breakfasts and we enjoyed the one dinner we had at the hotel.

Beautiful building and great landscaping. Loved our private and spacious terrace.

There are lots of steps, up and down. They are irregular and you have to be very careful. There is no coffee in the room, nor is there any coffee in the lobby. I guess the only way to get coffee at the hotel is to buy their breakfast. There were no washcloths in the bathroom. I use these for taking off makeup. It is most annoying to have to use a hand towel for that purpose and then to have to wash the makeup out of it, hang it up to dry and reuse it.

Nice old big house with rooms added around. 800 meters from the town with nice views out over the countryside. Rooms high up have small balconies with views, lower rooms have bigger terrace without the view. Good restaurant, good breakfast on the terrace with forest views. Staff were incredibly nice and helpful. Begur town and beaches are very picturesque.

Firstly it has to be the Staff at the Hotel who throughout our stay made us feel "special" as Guests. Particular mention to both David and the lady who looked after our room. Breakfast had excellent choices both hot and cold and the Dinner Menu gave a well balanced variety of different dishes. In fact having eaten out on just one occasion we decided to have our Evening meal at the Hotel on the other four nights. Parking can be found directly outside the Hotel or you have a choice of paid secure parking at the rear of the property. The Owner had a daily chat and from what he told us he obviously had the background and experience to know what it takes to run a successful Hotel business.

Nothing to do with the Hotel but it can be a bit of a hilly walk into the main Restaurant area.

Rooms were comfortable, extremely clean, and the host was welcoming. Restaurant was excellent. Location was great at the top of the town.

Due to the warmer weather, air-conditioning was a little underpowered (? needed re-gassing ) . Car parking was listed as "car parking available for guests" which is misleading when the price per day for parking is not listed on the website. Breakfast items were only average - rather than of a high quality .

A great property with a lot of history. The staff were so excellent we really enjoyed staying here and had no issues whatsoever. Fantastic restaurant on site and breakfast was lovely. We loved our room with the terrace. Unbelievable views from the restaurant. Felt very safe and peaceful. Great beds too

The owners are a lovely family and the property is well appointed. Their restaurant is also outstanding. Miguel & his wife, Johana, their son, Miggy, and the waiter David were especially friendly. Tati, the cleaning lady was amazing. She even dried my clothes that were sopping wet from the beach.

If I could change anything, which is really not a big deal, I would add a hook near the shower for robes, etc and make the bathroom door not glass so there is more privacy. One of the waitresses was very unfriendly, but I understand she’s gone through a lot recently. The rest of the staff was incredibly warm and kind. Overall, this hotel was comfortable, convenient & clean. I’d stay there again in a heartbeat.

Perfect little gem right in Begur. Rooms were very large and so comfortable. The large terrace was a perfect place to relaxing after touring around. We drove to the main part of town as the walk was very hilly but it was a short 2 min drive and parking was never a problem (we came in October) All of the staff was phenomenal! We were sad to leave, would love to stay here again!
