It is perfect here, lovely, helpful, cheerful staff; nice quiet rooms, terrific food and a wonderful atmosphere of both privacy and cordiality with other guests. One of the best things is the two minute walk to the beach, which means you can keeping popping back when ever you wish. This hostal has a very relaxed, summery atmosphere of understated elegance. We were very happy here indeed.

Directors chairs are never the most comfortable and given it is lovely to linger here, both on the guests’ terrace and over a wonderful meal, something more comfortable would make everything perfect.

We had such a wonderful stay. This place is a true gem, situated within easy walking distance of different beautiful beaches, a simple but luxurious set up with each room having everything you need for a really comfortable and relaxing stay. The rooms also sit above (this is no issue for noise etc) the most beautiful restaurant, we had some of the most delicious meals and to be honest would have eaten there every night if it wasn’t closed on Tuesdays! Everything was absolutely spot on. Thanks for having us Oscar and for being so friendly and welcoming, you have also chosen all your staff very well as they all do an amazing job and reflect this friendly and welcoming culture. Thanks so much for having us, and we hope it won’t be too long before we can come back!

Nothing. Loved everything about it.

We enjoyed our stay. Rascasa is not oozing luxury, however they get the important things 100% right. The building suits the relax location close to the water as does the decor. The beds are comfy, the pillows are nice, the towels are big and soft, and the shower is very good. The room is well laid out and easy to store your belongings. The window is screened which is great as there are mozzies. There is lots of places around to sit and relax. Oscar and all the staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant down in the garden was also very nice we ate there 2 nights and enjoyed most of the dishes. The village of Begur is also lovely and there are more dining options there about 3 kilometres drive.

Location fantastic. Breakfast was adequate. Possible Brits would have expected something a little more substantial but we were in Spain so as a continental breakfast, very enjoyable. Oscar and his staff were a delight - all of them without exception. This place I assume is only 2 star because of a facility tick list from the local tourist board. Don't be fooled, the quality of facilities offered is fantastic. Just because it didn't have a gym, pool, spa, and the other stuff that has to go in a big hotel. 5 rooms above a restaurant in a little cove! No wonder the people in the know keep it a secret. We will return and sample more of the host Oscar's wine and food knowledge. A multi lingual lovely host. We WILL return next year (if we can get a slot).

We liked it all. Perhaps somewhere to lay if the beach beds were taken. Even that was our fault. We should have gone the 50 meters to the beach and got beds before 10.30. The time we did- no problem

Beautiful boutique hotel right by the most gorgeous cove with walking trails up the cliffs on either side. The food at the restaurant was delicious, as was breakfast every morning. Oscar also helped us find a place to rent kayaks in another nearby town (we went in October so things were a bit closed up for the season in Begur) even though it was his day off. I wish I could have spent more time, it was magical!

What a hidden gem! Simple luxury in a gorgeous part of the costa brava, tucked away for privacy. The restaurant food was divine and the service warm and friendly. Will always try to book here when we come back. Thanks to Oscar and team for a lovely experience and sharing their little stretch of spain

Just 5 bedrooms in this small, but tastefully modernised and hotel. An extensive shared terrace to sit out on and enjoy the views directly over Aiguafreda cove. Very good breakfast to enjoy either inside or in the pleasant garden, with friendly and helpful staff. We enjoyed a lovely dinner in the restaurant, again with attentive staff. Oscar, the proprietor was also usually on hand to offer local advice and share stories, if you wished. For walkers the property is situated right next to the Costa Brava Way Coastal footpath. There is parking immediately adjacent to the hotel.

This is not really a criticism, but we would have welcomed tea/coffee making facilities in our room. But having said that, there is a separate honesty bar for hotel guests only - (self-service, with a wide variety of teas and coffees + beers, spirits and mixers) and with a separate outside terrace with tables & chairs.

A wonderful little hotel near the sea. Very good restaurant. Hospitable and attentive owner. I recommend a holiday here.

Really fantastic small hostal in a (generally) quiet cove. Easy access to the sea and walks. Really good (high quality but not cheap) restaurant on site. Friendly non-intrusive staff. Highly recommended.

The staff was really kind and helpful. The food is delicious and the views from the upstairs terrace are stunning
