The buildings are authentic and beautiful, the grounds and gardens are tranquil and wonderful with paths leading around the different buildings taking you through to more secret gardens and spaces. You cannot fault the ambiance and feeling around the property. The bathroom, shower, bath and water pressure were all very good, perhaps the best feature of the interior of the accommodation.
The living room is a bit pokey and could do with a spruce up, the upstairs level was spacious except the ceiling was very low down both sides so it was at times easy to bump your head.

We highly recommend this amazing place. This cute quiet out of the way accommodation, was everything we were after and more. We booked the Fuschia suite for our first wedding anniversary getaway. I requested some extra goodies as a welcome surprise , we were met with some cute local products . I appreciate that gesture so much. The rustic charm suite had all the amenities we needed including a lovely spa bath. We loved the on site cellar door, we visited a had a nice wine tasting. Highly recommend this place and will be back in the future.
Nothing everything was amazing

They provided little touches like a small bottle of champagne and a cheese board. Coffee machine and plenty of milk. It was also nice to have robes and slippers provided. Overall just a wonderful place to stay as we wanted to get away for the weekend and not think about work. The Pool and BBQ here was just beautiful, well thought out. We relaxed by the pool and even fell asleep but just a shame we went during the wrong time of year to go for a swim.
Nothing as it was quiet the grounds were beautiful.

This place is an absolute gem. I'm so glad we stayed at least two nights, but 3 0r 4 would have been even better. Located less than ten minutes from Tanunda but quite a way down a gravel road, it is quiet and very serene. Like a slice of Tuscany in the Barossa. The stone buildings and gardens were enchanting. The weather was fabulous and so after a day of sightseeing and wine tasting the pool was very much appreciated, as were the BBQ, facilities.. If you are looking for somewhere special to stay to enhance your Barossa experience then this is it.

The cottage is old, but thoughtfully renovated. It is unique, clean and the bed was very comfortable. The spa bath was a bonus. We enjoyed the welcome platter and wine.
The property is a distance out of town and if we did not have a rental car, it could be a problem as the taxis were quite busy on the weekend we visited. I am sure most people are aware of this when they book.

The location was good, but their was no breakfast as advertised. Very nice as far as the grounds and quietness, but a lot of money, for basically somewhere to sleep.
There was no food available at all. We were told on arriving that we would have to drive to town for and food. As a retreat, it should be the sort of place, where you go to relax and not have to leave if you don’t want to. It’s a bit hard to drive to town for dinner and not enjoy a wine with your meal, as you then have to drive back to the retreat. Then in the morning, you can’t have a sleep in & get up to enjoy a breakfast. You have to get in the car again & go back to town for that.

The accomodation was so spacious & the bed was big and comfortable. Lots of space in the sitting room to relax. Eclectic decor which gave the cottage heaps of character. The outside space was both private and enchanting.
It was a little tired in the bathroom (the cupboard doors were chipped and same inside the wardrobe) but we managed to look past this as the accomodation provided everything we needed. I would have liked to see large refillable bottles of shower wash/shampoo rather than the little disposable type which create excess plastic waste.

The room was very comfortable, blending modern amenities with the original features of the historic stone building. The gardens were absolutely beautiful, and the pool was a real highlight—definitely a perfect spot to unwind. The service was warm and friendly, making us feel right at home. I would highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a charming and relaxing getaway.

Lovely setting, lovely exterior, quiet, still close enough to town. The room amenities were quaint Good sized bathroom! Absolutely lovely overall
The steps to the bedroom were steep (so couldn’t recommend to elderly or physically limited patrons) The couch cushion could do with new foam (hard to settle in fully for a cozy movie)
