The staff was excellent. Food was very good. Location is perfect, away from the street so you enjoy peace and quiet but also walking distance from the mall and beach.
I really enjoy the food but wish there was more variety.

Liked, the awesome staff so friendly and courteous. Excellent location to beach, bars, and restaurants. Delicious breakfast, omelette, and toast cooked to order The large, airy clean, bedroom, and bathroom. Dislikes, this hotel could so easily be a 4* with a few tweaks. A great pool area, but only 2x sunbeds and 3x mattresses, that don't get taken in when it rains, so they remain soaked for hours until they dry, all the chairs pads are soaked too, so you can't sit out. More umbrellas are needed near the sunbeds too, because of this, no one hardly uses the area and the pool area is one of the reasons we chose this hotel, shame really. Teeny tiny pastries, these are not breakfast croissants. You have to ask for a hairdryer, not standard in your room. Balcony furniture could do with an upgrade. Maintenance- leaf blower man, out every day at 6am, guess what time we're wide awake !!!

My partner and I stayed for 12 days at the hotel and it was excellent. It is a training hotel so there are lots of young people beginning their careers in hospitality and being taught and overseen by expert teachers. Everyone one was really friendly and helpful and made our stay extra special. The breakfast was great with lots of choice - hot and cold options (I particularly liked the freshly made pastries and muffins) . We also ate in the restaurant - a delicious five course meal which was expertly served. The hotel was spotlessly clean and in my opinion really excellent value for money. We were also treated to two complimentary cocktail evenings and got the opportunity to chat to the staff and students which was lovely. Location wise it can't be faulted - its off the main street so you get peace and quiet but you are only a few minutes walk from lots of great restaurants, bars and beautiful beaches.
I honestly can't think of anything that I didn't like

The pictures reflect the structure accurately. As many said it is a hospitality school so you have students and trainees serving and going about but they are always supervised by experienced staff. The decor feel closer to the traditional Bajan culture which I liked. The room was always serviced and clean. It is true that there is no fridge in the room but a lovely lady comes in the evening to refill the bucket provided, with ice and there is also an ice machine at your disposal. The pool was clean and regularly cleaned. The overall atmosphere was relaxed and serene. The staff is skilled and not overly courteous which I don't mind. I only had breakfast and everyday there was a variation to the main offer, with a blend of local and continental food plus homebaked pastries. I also appreciate the contained display which allows for reduced food waste. I didn't have a hair dryer in the room but reception provided promptly. The hotel is seconds from Rockley Broadwalk and Beach with two small 'malls' at short distance, few cafes and a nice artisan (almost daily) market. Bridgetown is 45 mins walk or 10 mins publoc transports.
I felt it was a bit overly priced but I quickly realised that the entire island is quite expensive!

Cooked breakfast is very good with varied, Bajan local choices. Cereal and coffee but could do with more fresh fruit. Very clean and excellent food in both lunch cafe and more formal restaurant offering the best food we ate for excellent value. As a hospitality training hotel, good to interact and students grow in confidence. You may have to be a little patient with service, but an authentic hotel which prides itself on high standards a two minute walk from Hastings boardwalk with bars, restaurants and turtles if you are lucky!
Could stock more wines and promote restaurant food as excellent quality.

The property was tucked away and quiet, yet a short walk to the beach and vibrancy of the main drag. The hotel itself was spotlessly clean and everything worked. We had an amazing room with a large balcony. We didn’t know that the hotel was part of a hospitality institution but the pupils were lovely and you would never know they were in training, apart from some of the stern mentors who hovered over them 😊.
The breakfast was ok, but limited, but I liked how they introduced something new and local to the hot buffet. Always great to try something new! The quality of the food was good.

This hotel is also a Hospitality Training Centre. That means that some of the staff are young and rather inexperienced. But they try really hard and the service is good. The food in the restaurant is worth trying. The (senior) chef is a decent cook. Thursday nights they have a welcome drinks evening where a lot of the tutors come along. It was good to meet them and have a chat about the facility. Bearing in mind that service is rather variable in Barbados, this was friendly and enthusiastic. It was also much better value than the two other hotels we stayed in
150 metres to the beach. Breakfast buffet rather uninspiring.

The hotel is very nice. Rooms are large clean and with a balcony. The location is excellent. Close to the beach lots of great restaurants and a supermarket. The housekeeping staff is very good.
The breakfast was not great and restaurant staff very glum. There is a set menu for dinner which was limited but good. Unfortunately we were caught in the storm so had to do with the lunches n dinners the hotel provided. We are grateful for that though. We also had a failure of water n electricity for a full day and this was indeed a difficult experience. There was no proper backup.

We liked the hotel very much. The receptionist was very good, kind, considerate, pleasant, and beautiful manners. Nothing was too much for her. I don't remember her name. All the security staff were pleasant.
I didn't like how the breakfast was. I think the buffet style should let us take the breakfast ourselves. Also the glass for the juice was too small, you had to take about 6 glasses. They need to find a way of doing the toast because you select your breakfast, by the time they do your toast, the breakfast is cold. Plus, they do not have to slice it in triangles. One particular member of staff was very rude. She needed to be in school to learn professionalism. Otherwise all the members of staff at breakfast were very welcoming.

Ok this hotel is actually a school (institute to train hotel staff) but they are really doing their best. Location is excellent as 5 min walk to beach, allowing them to be much cheaper than most of overpriced hotels on frontside. Breakfast despite quite "slow" was good. WIFI/TV = excellent. Room = top clean and comfortable. Pool ok. Did not try other options.
Only 3 chairs at the pool side, so if you are a group...it's tricky. Not that easy to find if you don't have a GPS...would recommend a sign at the entrance of the street, from main road.
