I debated about writing this because I kind of want to keep it my little secret, but this is one of my favourite hotels to stay at EVER and on a wonderful Thai island. I have never encountered staff that are so attentive and make you feel so at home. The rooms are stunning. This is our second time staying and we love the King rooms at the back as it feels so secluded. When the tide is out, the sea isn't swimmable but you can go for a long walk along the beach. There is a tiny village right next to the hotel where you can eat/ buy snacks etc, but the hotel food is incredibly reasonably priced for good quality. There are two swimming pools so there is always a quiet space to go to. The rooms are large and feel very luxurious while also feeling in keeping with the surroundings. Having been to a number of Thai islands including those that are supposedly less touristy, this is the only one I've come across that is genuinely very undeveloped. Also a great stop to do boat trips out to other unfrequented islands and the flight into little Trang airport and transfer is also really enjoyable. So many strengths to this spot. We love it here and will definitely be back

Can't think of anything

Do not hesitate to stay here, from the staff to the swimming pools and restaurant.. this place is heaven!!! The rooms are spacious and clean and the use of wood and concrete in the rooms gives it a modern feel. I will 100% go back there very soon! There are also so amazing local restaurants 2 minutes walk from the resort, I highly recommend the fisherman kitchen.. 3 main dishes and sides and a drink cost us like than £8. Please make sure you support the local businesses as well as enjoying what the resort has to offer :)

The only bad thing about this beautiful resort is the fact that at one point you have to go back home. Beyond the place being a little piece of paradise is the fabulous staff! Everyone of them (I will not mention names for fear of leaving one out) went out of their way and beyond to make our second stay even better than the first one. The kitchen is mouthwatering, the cocktails are to die for and the whole atmosphere is one to relax to the max. We were moved to tears at arrival and at our farewell. . Khop Khun Krap 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 dear people of Andalay, my wife, my girls and I sincerely hope we can return one day and see you all again. Take care of each other and of this wonderful piece of paradise on earth. ❤️🙏🏽

Had a fantastic albeit short (4 nights) stay at Andalay. We felt very welcomed from the get go - hotel's personel was great. Very attentive & helpful. The resort is beautiful and well maintained. We stayed at the Family Botanical House (upper floor) and loved it. Rooms are large, comfy, well equiped and bear no sign of wear. The restaurant serves really good Thai & international food (both for breakfast and a la carte). While it is pricier than in offsite restaurants, the quality is there. Be sure to stroll around the island too - we really liked it as well. A must repeat!

Just one thing - the coffee could be much better

The staff was truly extraordinary. I have never felt this degree of personal attention from ANY hotel before. The resort was very well managed in all aspects. Food options were extensive and well prepared, which is important because there are very few other options for food on this island. Breakfast was great, and part of the room price, but we ate nearly every meal at the resort during the five days that we were there. Both pools were very nice, and having free kayaks and snorkel gear available was also a plus. We stayed here to wind down after four weeks of touring SE Asia. It was the perfect ending to our trip.

This is the best resort I stayed at. Starting from the tour of the amazing facilities, you already feel their devotion for service. Food is great, the rooms are spectacular, the view at the beach is awesome. Such a great sundown. We loved all the recommendations on what to do, how to get to islands and how to get different pricing options. They will not just push their own but be honest about possibilities which I loved! This is a must. The only problem is going to the next location, you will have a bit of a depression, nothing compares but things will be good again haha. Bowing also became my way after the amazing treatment.

I had read that beds were a bit hard, I told Tak Nee and Bo I would like a softer bed, they just made it happen. They we go ALL the way for you to feel amazing.

The staff at this resort were some of the best we have ever encountered - they couldnt do enough for you. We had an issue and it was resolved so quickly and they went over and above. Nee and her staff were amazing! The breakfast had a very big choice and was delicious and you could sit outside by the beach - lovely view. The rooms were spacious and bathroom too. We did a tour around the island with a tiktuk driver and we saw how beautiful the island is - the staff organised this and our return to the ferry.

Libong is a small island and not much to do outside the resort - not a dislike - more a comment.

The property is stunning, the beach in front of the hotel is beautiful, the sunsets we got the Teo nights we were there were breathtaking. The food in the restaurant is delicious!!! Highly recommend trying the Yum Prawn Lemongrass - wow! and the chicken satay and red curry! But the absolute highlight of this property is the staff. Everyone was so kind and they truly go out of their way to make sure you have an exceptional stay. It was my birthday and they went above and beyond! A special shout-out to our lovely Tak at the front desk!

Sometimes it can be tricky to find lounge chairs at the pool or beach - they fill up quickly. also, we were really craving coconuts and unfortunately they didn’t have any the two days we were there. I also think for a resort, breakfast hours could be pushed until 11am instead of 10am since it’s nice to really sleep in at these kind of resorts.

I loved this place, so so much. The staff went out of their way to make our stay as pleasant as possible. This place, gives you that very special feeling when travelling, that only a few place do, that "home" feeling. Please go and stay at Andalay Beach Resort, you will not regret it!

I would suggest two things. 1. The beds are a bit on the harder side, which might be uncomfortable for some, 2. Place the families with kids in a Wing for themselves. The buildings are thai style, so the noise goes directly into the rooms. That way, the kids can roam, and those seeking more relaxing/quiet experience can have that.

We loved our days at Andalay Beach Resort. The room was large and comfortable with a big balcony and plenty of seating. We had welcome fruit on arrival. Beach towels, snorkeling equipment and kayaks were supplied free and there were plenty of sun loungers around the resort, the pools and the beach. Food was good with a varied choice and the breakfast lovely. So much mango!! 😍😍 The Emerald Cave on Koh Mook is definitely worth a look and we also had a tour round Libong. As so many other reviews say - the employees make this place. They are super friendly and relaxed but at the same time professional. You feel you're in safe hands. A memorable experience.
