Wonderful family run guest house, wonderful at arranging any trips, transfers and giving top tips for local experiences. The room was clean, with daily turn downs and waters provided. The bed was huge and the AC worked really well, as did the shower. Bugs can only be deterred so much on islands and i would say they did a great job, best to let them clean the room daily to help this. Anticipate mosquitos nonetheless and being your own bug spray, you'll need it everywhere on the island. A little damp smell in the room, but again, to be expected on a little island ground floor accommodation with shower room, the staff were keen to keep AC on to help mitigate this. Everything was very clean and the room size was great, along with a fridge with ice trays which was a blessing after a hot day on the beach! Many thanks to Micheal who arranged our transfer from Trang to the island and his wonderful wife, Orn who hosted us and arranged all our excursion trips and transfers over to Koh Lanta.

We had a wonderful three night stay here. The staff were magnificent and very generous with their time and recommendations. Room and facilities were clean. Aircon was amazing and the bed was comfortable. Free water bottles per person each day. Breakfast was included each morning with the option of eggs on toast with fruit, eggs and meat on toast with fruit, or muesli yogurt and fruit. Bring earplugs if you don’t like waking up to roosters crowing, though very handy to beat the heat in the morning if you’re an early riser! Restaurant next door is great. Location was perfect. Everything is very close on the island. Approx. 30 min walk to Charlie Beach. I’d recommend a room on the second floor as the downstairs rooms looked quite dark and people can see in from the hallway.

Super comfortable bed, they also made it look so pretty, you got everything you need, great shower, also location is perfect, only WIFI was suuuper bad, we were switching from hotel to restaurant all the time but it was still hardly working which was annoying since we wanted to buy plane tickets home haha, but that’s not a big deal you can go somewhere for a drink and you have it, otherwise everything was amazing, way better than we expected for the price and also the staff is super nice!

Lovely big room with a comfortable bed and nice bathroom. Decent aircon, fridge and great view from the top floor balcony. Very clean and the staff made up the room when requested, water bottles every day and laundry service available as well. We really wanted to stay longer and will be back for sure!

Nothing to do with the hotel itself, but the bar nearby was quite loud in the evenings - the noise level would depend on which room you have.

Everything , huge comfy bed , lovely and clean we stayed in a 2nd floor apartment was really nice , very close to everything, , room cleaned , new clean towels daily , toilet roll and water everyday , owner was lovely and friendly couldn't of asked for a nicer stay thank you we will definitely be back xxx

The staff is really friendly and welcoming, a nice local family owners of the place. Great location in the middle of everything (although the island is really small) a few minutes away to Charlie's beach with a tuk tuk ride. Really good espresso in the inside cafetería. Recommended.

Amazing stay at Mook Boonchu. The room was a great size, en-suite and a space for drying clothes out the back (perfect for beach stuff). The host was brilliant, she and her family were so accommodating, they set us up with a tour to the emerald cave and koh Kradan which was brilliant and only 4 of us on the tour so got to see the cave when it was a bit quieter. The included breakfast every morning was made on the spot so was fresh and delicious. They were happy to answer any questions and direct us to the best spots on the island. Great location too - just a 10 minute walk to the pier and surrounded by great restaurants

Nothing it was great

The most pleasant accommodation during our 6 week trip to Thailand. Not only is this the most authentic island we have been to, but this hotel is run by an amazing young couple who literally make every wish come true. They go to great lengths to make the stay as wonderful as possible. Excellent breakfast, we tasted sticky rice, toast, home made eggs, juice, vegetables, tea, milk, fruit, sausages, ham, home made jam. The room was very clean and cosy. It is a 30 minute walk to the beach or they will drop you off one way for free. Alternatively you can use a scooter for 200 thb or any tuktuk taxi anywhere on the island for 50 thb. Plus the most comfortable bed ever (180 cm). Nice pilows (4x). Famous stay and we will definitely be back. Thank you very much!

Comfy bed! Some nice modern touches. Location is central to all the restaurants in town. The cafe and breakfast restaurant. Staff / owners all fabulous!

Not a fault of the property but there are roosters in the adjacent property. So if you’re a light sleeper and tune into that annoying crowing sound early morning and all day long then you may want to rethink. Also some street noise due to its central location.

Very good option to stay in the Village. The Lady owner is very welcoming and explaind you everything. the breakfast is delicious with lots of options (inckuding eggs, sausage, Hàm, con flakes, oat metal...) do not miss the Pearl beach!!!

At the behind Ng i could not use the AC properly but you have just to put low degrees than works perfectly
