From the moment we arrived at Clava Verde we knew we were in for an unforgettable experience. Every single aspect of our stay exceeded our expectations. The hospitality at this place was second to none. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, always greeting us with warm smiles and a genuine willingness to help. What I like to point out is that the food was simply outstanding. Chef Emelie and her staff clearly takes great pride in their craft, as every meal was great. From breakfast to dinner, each dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The variety of options catered to every taste, and we especially loved the local specialties. The place was very clean and designed very nicely. They were a few places that you could hang around and just relax. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. One of the highlights of Clava Verde was the breathtaking view. Whether we were enjoying a meal on the terrace or relaxing at the pool, the scenery was nothing short of spectacular. Last but not least we want to thank the owner Jonathan! He was incredibly kind, cultured, and full of fascinating stories about his experiences in the Dominican Republic. Taking the time to chat with him was a true pleasure, and we highly recommend that any guest do the same—his insights and warm personality added a unique and personal touch to our stay.

I loved the location and the staff was very nice and friendly. I had the perfect room with patio with the best view & a hammock. The food was delicious, there were a lot of delicious vegan options for each meals. The dining space is beautiful and the owners are often around with an excellent music selection. The view is stunning and the location is extremely peaceful & relaxing, this is exactly what I wanted to start the year. I couldn’t ask for more for a first time in Las Terrenas.

Nothing was negative honestly. I would say maybe the pool area should be tidy-up a bit more. I wasn’t comfortable to lay down by the pool. The natural setting and the view is amazing though.

I loved the peaceful location- down an unpaved track , elevated location with far reaching views. The hosts and their team of staff are just very lovely people- there is a sort of old school home away from home feel to the place. The food is just great in that there are plenty of really healthy options- fresh ingredients and home cooked items. They arranged for me to hike with a neighbour- a french lady who has 10 years experience of all the local tracks- on horseback and on foot...it was fabulous. It was great to have hot water and quality towels and bed linen. I really felt very comfortable here as a solo traveller.

Is not easy start, because we enjoyed all they offer there , but human quality of Noemi & Jonathan and all the staff, the care they have with the guests, the details and the Nature around, the kitchen and the delicious food (BEST Piña colada 00 alc. ever tasted ) and the sweet dogs (Loba and the old pack) made our days in Samana a one Life experience. If you want enjoy las Terrenas, sun bath and beach lovers should add calm and peace in mornings and evenings in this really special place. I want also mention the good beds, hot showers and delicious breakfast and the impressive green views and songs of tons of birdlife.

Too short, but sometimes shorter don't mean worse.

We loved so many things about this place! Our room, while small, was cozy and very comfortable - good bed, closet space, water pressure, and bathroom. There was plenty of drinking water available, and the shared deck lounge area was wonderful. The owners and all the staff are fantastic - very friendly, interesting to chat with, and kind. Our Spanish is pretty rough, but language was never an issue. In our 4+ day stay, we never left! Very relaxed vibe, the wifi was great, and we loved just hanging out by the pool. The food was AWESOME! We ate every meal there and enjoyed it very much. We basically, saw no reason to leave :) Oh - they have friendly, sweet dogs too - nice bonus!

This place is great, and we would go back without hesitation. That said, there is not much within walking distance (though walking up and down the road is pleasant, and you can get quite a workout going up and down the hills). The gym could offer more in terms of equipment too, and if many of the rooms are booked, there won't be enough pool furniture (not a problem when we were there). Again, these are all small details - very good place to stay. When you arrive beware the very steep hill - we saw a car get stuck coming up, and our cab had to downshift to make it up.

Our stay at Clave Verde Ecolodge was fantastic. We didn’t know what to expect, but the website looked very promising and the reviews were excellent. We couldn’t agree more! The ecolodge is surrounded by beautiful gardens and the views are spectacular. The room was very clean and comfortable. All meals were prepared with fresh, local ingredients and great care. Clave Verde is a wonderful place to relax, but also very central to explore Samaná. Jonathan, Noemí and their team really know how to make guests feel at home in a short time and they were always available for any questions we had. We already miss our interesting conversations and can’t wait to catch up again!

We came back from Clave Verde feeling grateful. We loved waking up to nature sounds, serene surroundings, fresh juices, and healthy, hearty breakfasts. We enjoyed our morning conversations with Jonathan and greatly appreciated Noemi's recommendations for places to go and her arranging our trip to El Limon waterfall. We decided to have our last dinner at Clave Verde's restaurant, and we regretted not doing that every night; the food was exquisite and made with a lot of love; thank you, Sandra, and everyone in the kitchen. Clave Verde is a short drive to most beaches around. It's a great location if you want to enjoy the day trips yet retreat away from the hustle and bustle in the evening. Please note when you arrive, it is a steep drive up the hill; it helps to have the shift on the 1st gear.

'Clave Verde Ecolodge' is a place that invites you to linger. Even the first greeting is very warm, the whole environment can be described as family and you feel that you have arrived. The restaurant kitchen conjures up wonderful delicacies and the background music is evidence of exquisite taste - a well-rounded affair. Of course, the view is breathtaking and it was difficult for us to say goodbye. We say thank you to the whole lodge crew for this unfortunately short but unforgettable stay! I liked that it was very tranquil and serene place. I was able to gaze at the stars on a clear night. It's also very close to Salto de Limon if you wish to visit it.

Amazing place in the nature with gorgeous views and super nice host and extremely nice stuff and the food is absolutely delicious, an experience you will not forget ❤️
