The place is breath taking, as we drove down the driveway and saw the hotel, myself, my husband and my daughter all gasped! Its a beautiful inside and out with far reaching views. The family room was huge with an enormous balcony. The pool is stunning and the food was amazing.

Breakfast was a little lacking in choice and the breakfast room felt a bit dated and strangely decorated, especially in comparison to the beauty of the rest of the hotel.

The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. On our final day, knowing we had to leave early, they kindly delivered breakfast to our room the night before. The building has a charming historical ambiance, with spacious, well-decorated rooms. Plus, the restaurant served delicious meals.

Wifi was slow and only reachable around the reception area.

Unexpected ! Wonderful staff and welcome. The pool set in the rocks. The views. The calm . The countryside . The ham and cheese at dinner.

No complaints, but if you need one, perhaps could have some plain yoghurts and even black tea at breakfast. Can’t really complain. We will be back I hope

This was our third visit to Rocamador after a gap of several years. The property has been upgraded and was excellent in every respect. Our room was very comfortable. We had a delicious dinner with the additional benefit of some fine red wine from the vineyards of the new owner of the hotel.

Leaving

very different and well restored old monastery Beds incredibly comfortable very big rooms with lovely views and large bathrooms.

Beware stairs up and down And bathrooms not suited for people with mobility issues

The place is perfect if you are looking for a getaway option. Stunning view on the countryside around the old monastery. Same view also from the swimming pool. We had dinner at the hotel, also very good. A problem with hot water in the shower was promptly fixed. The superior rooms are really partially embedded in the rock, we had an amazing bathroom in this style.

Everything was very good. Purely as a suggestion: dinner with the view of the hills (served in the back terrace) would be even more stunning

Quiet countryside location with beautiful views. Very interesting conversion of monastery into a hotel.

Location was difficult to find - would benefit from even a small sign to indicate turn off the man in road.

The room decoration, the mix between old and contemporary, the quietness, the gardens and surroundings, in a nutshell a place to return and enjoy more of it!

The welcoming, ambience and setting was wonderful. It was a really relaxing stay.

As with most businesses they are trying to recover from lockdowns etc and I think may be a little understaffed in the evening but it was fine the management took good care of us.
