To put this review in context; My stay was out of season and a last minute booking. The location is just 5 minutes from the auto strada and 15 minutes from down town Bologna. The hotel is located a little out of the town but easily walkable on a fine evening. on arrival I was met with a cheery reception. However, as my room was not ready, I was shown to the bar and offered a beer, a good start. The room was on the small side and filled with a four poster bed and a single wardrobe which was all I needed. The bathroom was functional if a little dated and soaps and shampoo were provided.

Breakfast consisted of a croissant, tea or coffee and fruit juice. I left still feeling hungry but this may be due to it being the off season. There is no in house restaurant. Fixtures and décor were a little dated but still clean and not tatty.

Nature around the hotel is very healthy.

Breakfast was very light and not nutritious. There was no choice in breakfast. Room and washroom/ toilet was not very clean. Yellow light was used in the room.

The location was the only positive aspect for me.

I don’t know how this hotel can be rated 3 star. I paid the rate of a 4 star and got the amenities and property of a 2 star. Out of the many wrongs, one outweighs the most…There is a strong old cigarette smell lingering everywhere. This place is surely used for government shelter program. I’m very disappointed with Booking.com for offering this hotel. The fair rate for this hotel should be no more than MAX 35€ per night..
