The hotel was very quiet despite being on the main road. Usually hotels are very noisy because people come and go in the evening. This was not like that, super quiet. The room was obviously recently renovated, very clean and tastefully done. It was an older hotel and had lots of charm.

The breakfast was similar but better than the breakfast at other hotels where I've stayed in town. The clerks at check-in were great! We were able to check in early, which meant a lot because our friends needed to get ready for our photoshoot and needed a place with mirrors, etc. So that was sincerely appreciated!

My wife had a hard time with the bed being in her opinion so hard. For me it was fine, but she felt it was bad enough that without changing the beds to something softer, or bringing a bed top with us (which, coming in a truck, we could maybe do) we'd have to stay somewhere else next time.

I have to give the Horizon an A+ for effort. The rooms were spotless and the lobby is very quaint. Extra touches in the room regarding the display of towels was noted and appreciated. Free ice cream at check in was a bonus and a clever gimmick. The young lady at the reservations desk was super polite and apologetic about the delay for checking in.

we weren’t able to access one of our rooms until 7:30 because the hotel was short on cleaning staff. Parking lot was pretty grubby which made us feel uncomfortable about leaving our motorcycles out there. (They we’re fine btw and easily monitored from our window.) There weren’t any restaurants in the area so we ordered in Dominos, which worked out fine.

The breakfast was good and location to things was easy.

Some things are outdated. Bed was comfortable

Good friendly staff, very accommodating, enjoyed the pool, and staying in the studio was like having my own apartment while I was there with my own entrance. I really liked that and so did my dog.

The bathroom door was broken then repaired and still handing off the bottom hinge so i couldn't truely close the door without issues.. bathroom door needs replaced.

It was a novel touch being offered an ice cream treat upon check in. Very enjoyable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very nice, clean and comfortable.

I can't think of anything that I didn't like.

Pool and ice cream was a nice touch

Parking lot not painted for parking, there were people barbequing near my vehicle it made me nervous. That could have been in a different location not near the door. Jet pumps not working for the jacuzzi. The place was hard to find due to name change. But over all not pricey

Front desk check in was super easy and the attendant was so nice. Very personable and we even got a free ice cream! Rooms were older but clean and they were updated as best they could. breakfast buffet has lots of selections and they asked if there was anything else we needed.

They didn’t have an ice machine.. the only ice available was from a fridge in the lobby. There wasn’t any left by the time I got there. But we were there for a softball tournament and they let me use the freezer to freeze my ice packs so that was a plus

clean, seemed recently renovated, confortable, the afternoon clerk was very nice and tried all she cooks to solve my issue

1. the TV was showing only local channels and in order to see anything else , even basic as TNT, I had to go through RokuTV, complicated and not self intuitive (I was lucky I had my xfinity acct/pwd. 2. advertisement on the road is below poor. big Super8 sign, almost invisible “Horizon Hotel” after the turnoff to the parking 3 parking was unkept with piles of trash overflowing the trash bin on the north side.
