The motel clean and tidy and run by friendly staff. It was situated a short drive from town centre - walkable in daylight saving but not well lit after dark. The room was nice and spacious, with hanging space, aircon and a large tv. The bathrooms were renovated and well appointed. The bed and pillows were comfy for me, although my partner thought the bed was a little hard. There’s a small table and corner settee for lounging. A really functional bar space allowed us to organise hiking kits etc. in readiness for the next days. PowerPoints and easily accessible lights meant you didn’t have to get outta bed once you’re in! The curtains blocked most of the light from outside and even though it’s motel-style, there wasn’t much carpark noise.

Although renovated, the open-sided shower meant water was everywhere and the bath mat was a mop. The bathroom door glass also meant the room lit up if you needed a 2am wee 😂 there was also a slight stale smell when we returned in the afternoon which disappeared when the room heated up. Although the breakfast was continental, it’s definitely country continental - toast, cereal, tea and coffee. A piece of fruit, maybe yoghurt and muesli might have been a nice option. Milk ran out the morning we checked out. I’m not sure if others behind us alerted staff.

The staff were super friendly, we stayed twice once heading up to the Gold Coast and then again heading back home. The first time we stayed was super fantastic, the room was pre warmed for us with the heater on already which was fantastic as it was a super cold day. The breakfast facilities were basic but a bonus for being included in the price. The inclusion of coke and water in your room complimentary was a highlight and something you don't find anywhere else. There was also a microwave and kettle, cutlery and crockery in the room as well. The shower was to die for!!! The pressure was amazing!!! Wish I had that shower at home. I did not hear road noise as well which was fantastic considering it is on the main road.

This is only a small gripe, although I understand the need for firm mattresses it is so hard to sleep on a hard bed and honestly this was my only complaint. If you are going to be super picky, on the return journey the room wasn't prewarmed up with the heater on.

Great location super friendly reception, room was perfect size , very clean, great heating and love love the shower, the awesome shower head and even the body wash and shampoo etc they supply if needed , was amazing... Comfortable bed and bedding and then next morning complimentary continental breakfast in there "breakfast restaurant room" they had everything one would ever need or want, couldn't faultanthing, on my next road trip I will definately be happy to stay here again.. oh and very reasonable price.

That we only got to spend 2 nights, one night on our way out west and one night on the way back.😯😊

This motel exceeded all expectations with its 5-star quality at an affordable price. The property is impeccably clean and features very modern amenities throughout. The staff were exceptional - friendly, helpful, and professional. One of the standout features was the design of the room which was truly amazing in both quality and variety. While I couldn't enjoy the breakfast myself due to dietary allergies, I could see it was well-prepared and generous. I would definitely book here again without hesitation and highly recommend it to others. It's remarkable to find such high-quality accommodation in a small country town - this place really sets the bar high and our metro cities could take a note from their book.

The room was large and very newly renovated. Toiletries supplied were quite nice. High quality hair dryer was appreciated to dry hair quickly. Breakfast supplied was generous continental breakfast. Complimentary soft drink and water in fridge was a surprise. We arrived late and received a very considerate e-mail explaining how to access the room, and where it was. The grounds were very well maintained too.

There was an odd smell about the room, we mentioned it to staff who were very polite, they said it was a drain that management were having repaired. Not a real negative, but hopefully resolved soon

The motel was very clean, newly renovated, modern, had great facilities. It provided complimentary breakfast, as well as free charging for our EV. The beds were comfortable, showers hot with great water pressure. Kids were pleased to get complimentary coke. The breakfast was basic but good for the start of the day.

The lights in the restaurant where the breakfast is served are so low you are constantly worried you would hit them with your head. It would have been nice to have a real coffee, not even a machine, but a plunger, the instant one just doesn’t cut it.

Loved the huge shower head and instant hot water! After travelling all day this was such a delightful pick me up. Fully renovated rooms. Complimentary coke and bottled water in room. Complimentary breakfast also on offer. We didn’t have the breakfast as we bought our own but it’s so nice to know that it was available. The girl who checked us in was very friendly. The hotel was completely booked out and despite being located on the highway there was no massive noise to disturb sleep. No complaints here, would stay again

This is a hidden gem! I’ve stayed in many motels while traveling through country areas, and most are either outdated with old 70s bathrooms or have had basic, cheap renovations with no sense of design. This motel is a breath of fresh air—it’s been beautifully renovated with high-quality materials and a real focus on style and comfort. The bed was incredibly comfortable, better than anything I’ve experienced in a country motel—more like a big-city 5-star hotel. The WiFi worked perfectly, and the room was modern and thoughtfully designed. For the quality provided, the price is more than reasonable. If you’re tired of the usual country motels, this one will completely change your expectations. Highly recommended!

The only thing missing was breakfast, but the friendly manager mentioned they’re starting it next month. I’m really looking forward to my next visit to see what they’ll offer.

Breakfast offerings were plentiful staff were helpful. The room fridge was just a small drinks fridge but the checkin staff put my goods in a freezer for me and at Breakfast l overheard other staff offer similar help to other guests. Complimentary bottles of water and cokes was an added bonus. I have stayed at 3 other accommodations in coonabarabran in the past but I will be staying here again.

Small fridge, but staff helped me to keep some food safe that I was taking to Queensland for my son. Option of a softer bed .
